"We could scout the area." Miladistra wrinkles her nose and calls Deroff over. "I do know a lot about forests, but I'm good with the wilderness, too."

Miladista has a +9 Nature, +7 Survival and +7 Forest Lore. Maybe we can find an alternate route.

"Clearly someone has moved in to this old place."

Deroff has +6 Survival, too

"Agreed. Let's see if what's on the other side will either welcome us or kill us."

Mindartis has a +6 to both Nature and Survival and +8 to Perception

As Nnamdi's rage and size subside he takes inhale and exhales deeply several times with his eyes close. As he exhales the final time he opens his eyes and shakes his head in pity for the fallen skeletons. "Thank you Miladistra. Your magic was a great help and is the reason I am still standing."

As Tiger binds Nnamdi's wound: "Many thanks Tiger for the help. I will say the same for you because I have heard tales of fighters like yourself with fancy stances and exciting movements. Even though we were in the heat of battle it was exciting to witness. I am lucky to have found myself in party full of impressive pathfinders," he replies while now grinning ear to ear at his companions.

"Thank you Eltis for the healing," he says to the Kobold with a slight bow of his head. As Eltis prays for the dead, Nnamdi, silently prays along with him.

"Yes, let us keep and eye out. There are many fairy tales about lone towers in the middle of forest in my homeland. Very rarely do they end well."

Nnamdi will search, keeping an eye out for anything unusual.

Miladistra scouts around the lone tower. Any other entrances look to have completely caved in if there were any. Reporting back Mindartis notices some movement in the tower. On the third floor a lone kobold stands in the window overlooking the area below. It does not seem to have noticed you yet.

Only the main entrance into the tower.

"Looks like there's only one assigned to guard the entrance. Shall we sneak in?"

"Stealth would seem to be the advisable course of action."

"Yes, let's scout around for another entrance. Mayhap there is a path through the forest? I suppose if we need to, we might be able to remove the guard, but we know not what would be waiting for us inside."

Also how high is that 3rd floor window?

"Looks like there is only one way in, for us." Miladistra returns from her walk. It's nice to move around, even if this land is cursed.

"I can be quiet." Miladistra looks up at the window.

Correct, you have found no other side entrances anywhere near the tower in your scouting. I rolled everyone above already. Sounds like you are want to try and sneak past to get in the tower. I have everyone's stealth modifier except for Nnamdi's. +1 (Untrained) Correct?

"Sneaking sounds like a good idea. I will do my best to be careful as we go,"he says \smiling warmly at everyone. He was trying to be reassuring but wasn't sure how successful he could be sneaking.

"Worry not, friend Nnamdi," Tiger reassures him, "There is always the 'other' option if all else fails."

At this, Tiger removes a dart from his leather bandolier and begins sneaking.

Isn't Nnamdi's hp back up to full since Eltis did a treat wounds on him?

It is, everyone is full health. @Tiger- each floor is 10 feet tall so 30 feet.

One by one you successfully sneak past the spiked barricades, using the shadows to your advantage. Though Eltis seems to step on a small log that cracks and you hear an audible yelp from above. The kobold blows a long, discordant note on a cracked horn before disappearing from the window.

Rushing in through the entryway of the tower you enter the first floor. There you find the tower is dimly lit by afternoon light leaking in through cracks and windows the ceilings are 10-foot-high. The long room features a pair of intertwining staircases leading to the next level along the southern wall. Lying in poorly arranged piles against the wall to the north are some loose bags spilling over with lengths of copper wire, various stones and gemstones, cogs, wheels, and other devices, through the room’s northwest corner appears to have been recently swept clean.

You spot six kobold warriors ready to attack in the dim room.

Nnamdi and Mindartis spot a couple of cleverly designed hidden pit in two corners of the room. Keep in mind only your characters are aware of these traps marked on the map.

Reminder: Room is Dimly lit so those without low-light vision or darkvision will need a DC 5 concealment checks with each attack.

"Hmm." Miladistra stays put and calls out the microbes, fungus, and vermin in the room. She calls upon the primal forces and Summons a Fey into the room to assist.

Who comes calling? It's Gig the Grig! He snaps his hindquarters together and sprays Glitterdust on the Kobolds in Green and Yellow. Reflex DC is 18.

After Eltis crunches the wood, "Of course..."

After they enter and the kobolds attack Eltis speaks to them in Draconic. "Surrender please. There is no need for us to kill you."
To back up his words he sends a divine lance of energy at Green.

Hearing Eltis speak to then attack the Kobolds, Nnamdi, hurries to follow suit. He launches himself at the green Kobold.

Tiger's dart sticks into the kobold's upper thigh. It looks up and then down at the dart, then back up again and begins screaming. The kobold is screaming and running around so much that Tiger can't manage to catch a bead on it.

Miladistra summons forth a Grig to help in the room. Miladistra chose the grig as they are well known for taking on evil well outside their own strength and ability. It tosses a lost of fey glitter into teh air, covering two of the kobolds.

Eltis sends a lance of divine energy into another of the kobolds, it seems injured but shakes it off as it responds in draconic. "You show respect to MITEY DRAGONS, or the infernal God will be angry." Nnamdi shuts the kobold up as his greataxe cleaves its head from its body.

"Traps detected in those corners so be careful!" He sets his sights on the dazzled Kobold and shoots an arrow at it. He then commands Mialee to attack it.

Mindartis stick an arrow through the dazzled kobold's heart, killing it instantly while Mialee drill's her beak into another kobold's eye. Shifted Mialee to orange since the crit on yellow killed it.

The kobolds shift about the room, striking out at Tiger and Nnamdi with their spears before hurriedly retreating.

Grig hops and skips until he flanks with the human and then winds up a mighty punch...

Eltis moves up and addresses the group in Common, "I fear these are convinced they are Dragons. They are not even close."

He takes a shot at Red with his hand crossbow and then relaods it.

With the yellow kobold down, Mindartis sets the blue one as his prey. He commands Mialee to support him this time. "Go for the eyes, Mialee!" He shouts as he shoots another arrow.

Seeing how impressively everyone is performing he feels a momentary twinge of guilt for the outmatched Kobolds. "Let us defeat them quickly so we can move ahead," he says swinging his axe again.

Mindartis' arrow sticks the kobold to the wall as Eltis wounds the last kobold enough for Nnamdi's axe breaks through its ribs. The last kobold falls from the extensive blood loss.

"Well, that was unfortunate. I did ask them to surrender. There are still many of my kind who are convinced of their close relationship with dragons who are actually not related much at all. I mean, there are some who are, like me but after this mess that might sound a little crazy. Perhaps I will have to prove it later. For now, everyone OK? Anyone hear any other noises? Let's search and look for clues here..."
Eltis will begin doing so, saying a short prayer over each of the dead kobolds.

"You gave 'em the chance, Eltis. Not your fault they didn't surrender." Miladistra looks around and casts Light upon her club.

She gets in a quick jig with Gig before letting him go.

Once again Nnamdi bows his head in silence and prays along with Eltis. Once he's done a wave of guilt washes over him as an idea comes to him.

"Should we search them to see if they have any clue on them about what's going on in this tower," he asks sheepishly.

Tiger claps in appreciation of the dance. He rummages through what remains of Pink to see if the creature carried anything of value (or anything that could identify who they represent).

"So, what now? Up or down?"

Are there 2 flights of steps as per the map? Apart from their weapons and armor, do the kobolds have anything of value on them?

Both stairs lead up.

Eltis offers a prayer over his kin as Tiger looks them over for anything of use. The kobolds have little of value through one kobold carries a minor healing potion in a belt pouch. leather armor, sling (20 bullets), spear each.

The pit trap has a nasty 20ft fall, but you discover a pair of +1 hand wraps that have been clumsily used to tie together one of the cross-sections of the trap’s support beams.

After the prayers and search.
"Always nice to have one more potion. Can anyone make use of the wraps? Up we go, I guess?"

"Poor fellers. Dragon blooded or not, you gotta know when to hide."

Miladistra looks at the wraps, curious. "Why would- hey, Tiger. Would this help your punches and kicks?"

Once the group is ready to move, Mindartis heads to one of the stairs to scout ahead.

Tossing the magical handwraps Tiger's way you head up the stairs. The spiral staircases leading to this second-floor room converge, opening up into a barren stone room. To the east, an open doorway leads to a mirrored room that is almost identical to this one, except that it leads into another room that gives off a strange eldritch glow through the open doorway and that a group of 4 kobolds stand ready with crossbows loaded.

Tiger bows to Miladistra in gratitude. "Thank you. I will make good use of them." He wraps his hands in the wraps (ha!) and follows his companions up the stairs.

What do the handwraps do?

Handwraps of Mighty Blows (+1) (Link) In this instance it would turn all of your unarmed attacks magical and give you an additional +1 to hit with your unarmed attacks. You can use these handwraps for the duration of this scenario. At the end of the scenario you turn them into the Society (Treasure bundle) for gold.

Mindartis moves to get a clear shot at the kobolds. He sets the purple kobold as his prey and quickly fires an arrow as he draws his bow.

Finally turning to Nnamdi, "Friend Nnamdi, stay your hand for now and do not rush through. I do not wish to lose a friend today."

Seeing the Kobolds, Nnamdi, raises his axe and is just about to charge as Tiger warns him of rushing in. Taking a second to look he notices some strange magic on floor.

"Thank you for stopping my instinct to rush in Tiger. Your wise words have most likely saved me from a painful approach. Turning to everyone else he says, "There is some strange magic ahead on the yellow runes. Can anyone tell what it is?

"Someone or something's looking at those two runes." Miladistra points at the Yellow and Blue runes. "I'd say it's best to avoid 'em."

She wrinkles her nose. "I wish I could get close and ask 'em, but I'm too far. I'll ask for help." Miladistra hums and haws as a burst of basil springs forth from the ground...

Meffle the Mitflit takes center stage. He seems quite pleased someone called him over. Too bad it's a weird elf lady.

"Meffle, I need yer help. Get over there and distract those kobolds. Try not to step on the blue or yellow runes."

Meffle grumbles as he realizes someone called him to be a guinea pig. Whatever. He takes a running start and leaps over the Blue rune.

Mindartis places an arrow right in between one of the kobold's eyes. The rest yelp and immediately try to go into hiding behind the wall. Miladistra summons forth a Mitflit. Asking for help the small Miflit runs and leaps across the rune, landing right on the edge of it as it runs partially over the space. Meffle is shocked when another Mitflit suddenly appears from the rune.

The Mitflit grabs a dart and tosses it at Meffle.

Nnamdi skids to a halt before rushing in through the runes any further. The kobolds all fire off bolts from their crossbows before rushing to safety behind the wall to reload.

"Huh. It's like a mirrer." Miladistra cocks her head when Meffle dodges his identical twin. "Take 'em out from afar, or make sure you're good at jumpin'." She looks at Deroff.

Eltis grimaces at the situation. "I am not a very nimble kobold...Anyone have arcane knowledge that might help us deactivate this trap?"

He then takes a step to get one less body in the way and takes a shot at the copy Milfit.

Tiger pulls a dart from his bandolier. Stepping forward to stand beside Nnamdi, he hurls the dart at the other mitflit.

Dart and bolt both hit the Mitflit at the same time as the small gremlin hunches down in pain and chitters noisily back at you. It draws a shortsword and drives it at Meffle.

It is indeed a crit. For crit's you can either just double the damage or you can roll the damage twice. Whichever you choose just keep it consistent for the entirety of the scenario.

Deroff pounces on the Mitflit and rapidly tears it's throat out as Nnamdi's strike misses.
