[PFS2e] GM Chadius: 1-05 Trailblazers Bounty (Inactive)

Welcome to my run of PFS 2nd edition. We're here to play 1-05: Trailblazer's Bounty.

(I'm awake between 8 am to 10 pm EDT (UTC-4 hours) so roughly 1300 to 0300 hours, GMT.)

1. Please post at least once a day. If you are absent for 24 hours I'll send you a PM. If you're missing for 36 hours I'll mark you inactive and your Player Character will simply delay - that's not fun!

2. Under your name, please add a stat block, so I can quickly find your stats and keep the game moving. You can edit your character's Race, Class/Levels and Gender fields to include information such as:

- Hit Points
- AC
- Saving Throws
- Perception Bonus

3. What about Secret Rolls? PFS 2nd ed has a lot of secret rolls the GM is supposed to make for the players, so the PCs can't react to a bad roll. If I give you the DC, feel free to make the roll openly. Otherwise, there are 2 ways to do this in my games:

- You can say which skill and which bonus you want to apply. (Example: "I use Occultism +5 to investigate the skull's mystic origin.")
- Or you spoiler your dice roll and everyone sticks to the honor system of not opening it.

If you haven't added Pathfinder specific equipment, I suggest you look at the PFS 2 Society rules, in particular the Pathfinder Training section.

Yes, DC 15 seems right for a level 1 bard.

Ra'Sta and Lynn, here are your hero points.

Oof. The first time I ran this, the cleric managed a crit in round 1 and outright killed the Ogre before he got to move. What a world a dice roll can make.

Sorry Nuvian, the Ogre managed to crit you. I did try to mess around with Reactive Shield, but the Ogre would still have crit. And if you blocked the Ogre, that means you didn't block the shrew. It still would have knocked you out.

Faethor is in big trouble here. I just went through an AP where my character was Dying AND Poisoned. The Poison damage does increase your Dying value. Hopefully you'll make your Fort save and end it quickly.

Don't forget you can spend Hero Points to stave off death. If you reach your maximum Dying value (usually Dying 4) you can spend all of your hero points to clear the Dying status and just be unconscious.

Now, the rest of you need to deal with a rampaging Ogre...

Sigh.... I should have moved up instead of intimidating the ogre. It's not the worst situation we could be in

A medicine check won't even help that. Dice roller wants Faethor to die today.

Great game everyone. I have a spell list to tweak. Didn't realize bless and inspire courage overlap in their bonuses. Any suggestions on what spell I should switch it with?

Magic weapon is always a good option.
