Oops... that was Two-Eye not Poog that took one too many actions.
Poog heals himself (6 points, not 1), while Two-Eye readies to attack with his fist. As Poog steps in, he swings. He hits! She doesn't look happy.

Looks like my post was eaten. Nonetheless, it won't change based on the current circumstances
Action 1-3: Animate Dead
Summon: Strike, Strike
Though blanketed in darkness, Morgan's eyes allow her to see. A blessing from her mother. For her part, she smiles wickedly. "You will have to do better."
Breaking into a complex invocation, Morgan conjures a nexus of necromantic energy that manifests beside the mounted woman. It coalesces into a skeletal shape, long dead and carrying a scimitar. With a tone lacking mercy she says, "Slay the mounted woman."
The skeleton does its best to comply.

True enough, Two-Eye says, catching her eye, but some of us can see just fine! Deep Rat heritage.
Knowing his darksight will make him a target, he whispers a silent thanks that Poog, son of Poog also can see in the darkness and stabs at Mirielle.
bite vs. flat-footed AC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 I VOLUNTEER THIS HERO POINT AS TRIBUTE
bite vs. flat-footed AC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
piercing: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
plus sneak attack: 1d6 ⇒ 5
That's for hamming it up!
He then draws his shortsword to follow up.
stab vs. flat-footed AC: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 4 = 20 yay, Agile!
piercing: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
plus sneak attack: 1d6 ⇒ 2
And that's for not ad-libbing better lines!
Strike, Interact to draw, Strike.

While Morgan's undead flails ineffectively, Two-Eye's valiant attacks land. Then, Poog's first blow lands, though his other misses. Mirielle looks surprised that her spell was not as effective as it could have been.

Two-Eye wastes no time moving back into position. Not so fast, there, you overemotive hack! he says. I've seen carrion crawlers do a better job chewing scenery!
Not sure if the zombie provides flanking. I'll roll as though it does.

Two-Eye strikes the woman, though on his second attempt! With this strike, she collapses to the ground.
The darkness fades, and you see Solvatar Caryg making his way into the courtyard.
“Well done, fellow Pathfinders! You’ve defeated the threats assaulting my manor. At least, that’s how it appears. In case you haven’t gathered by now, this attack was staged. This manor is ritually warded in a manner akin to the arena that Farabellus had you fighting in earlier, so there was no risk that you or any of the mercenaries you fought today would come to lasting harm.
"I say this to set your mind at ease, but not to diminish the value of what you have accomplished here. Had this attack been real, you would have saved the lives of many of my staff, and for that, I am grateful. You acted swiftly when a seemingly safe situation turned awry.”
He moves forward, his grin morphing into one more sinister. “But what would you have done if this whole party were a trap, if I were a noble you were attempting to sway to the Society’s cause who actually wanted you dead? Shall we have a friendly bout to find out? I for one would love to see what you’re capable of firsthand.”
He draws his rapier, and stands at the ready...
Don't move your tokens, or perform any actions, but you have a chance to respond...

"Though there are many chronicles that tell of the battle that agents of the Society face, there are an exponential amount where diplomacy and discovery are king. After all, is not the motto 'Explore, Report, Cooperate'? If all you see in us is our ability to defend ourselves," Morgan pauses, letting the moment linger for dramatic effect. "Well, then all you see of us is a group of well-equipped mercenaries. Glorify what we know."
Make an Impression? (Diplomacy): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Oh, to have a g**@@# hero point...
Sadly, disdain creeps unavoidably into her tone.

”Mock battle? Ha! Ha! ” cries out Caryg, falling into his role like the Master Bard that he is.
“Well done, fellow Pathfinders! You've defeated the threats assaulting my manor... or so it would appear. You've survived my first assault. But as any good Pathfinder should know, at the worst moments, your supposed allies can turn on you. Now, can you stand against one of your own?”
He looks ready to attack.
That was his original monologue.
Manahath
|
Manahath shakes his head, "SERIOUSLY? Come on man. Nope. Not gonna happen. I think I heard a smarty pants once say that while a brave man likes the feel of rain, a wise man knows to get in from out of the rain."
He looks around for a moment, not as dense as he lets on. [b]"No, a friendly bout is unneeded, we understood the stakes, the risks, and the likelihoods. Let's just leave it as "lesson learned." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Kralgang

"These make-believe battles are anathema to Pharasma, and make light of the journey we must all take to her Boneyard. If you insist on fighting us, I will do my best to defeat you, but there is no honour in this."
GM Silbeg

"Very well. While it would have been fun, and good training, I can see your point." Solvatar definitely looks disappointed.
Several servants from the estate come back out, and between them, and Caryg, you are all healed up.
As you prepare to leave the manor, the three deans emerge from the gate, applauding. They praise you for your quick reaction to the attack. They are pleased to say that you have concluded their training mission, and their previous assessments of you as being worthy Pathfinders has only been reinforced by the morning’s fight.
Solvatar Caryg congratulates you on their victory He asks the PCs not to talk to any agents who have not yet participated in this training program about the last challenge and his role in it.
The deans escort you back to the Grand Lodge for a formal debriefing, providing commentary on the way. They have found that your problem solving skills are exemplary, and that you all handle yourselves well in combat (though there is some concern about Morgan's use of the dead). They each proclaim that you have passed their tests with flying colors!
Shortly after their debrief, Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin arrives to promise you all field missions in the near future.
You have succeeded at both your primary and secondary missions. YOu also completed all of the challenges perfectly, so full treasure bundles. I will be getting chrons out tonight, as well as reporting.

Huzzah and thank you! A fun table, and the re-configured scenario reads as much better.
