I'm happy with cracking on with the four of you, it would present a different problem set though.

If you need an additional party member we can always go fishing, but we'd lose that 4 person adjust and the APL could go either way.

Thanks for the Chronicle, Shifty - I didn't really feel like I earned it for this scenario since I couldn't regularly post. I obviously won't be able to continue with the game until my work schedule becomes less all-consuming, but I greatly enjoyed the game with you all!

Sorry for not posting there for a bit. Got knocked out flat with my first case of Covid, and that bled into the holidays. I'm mostly recovered and should be okay to keep playing, and I'm okay with playing up. I did get a game of the grav train robbery in before I got knocked out, so I should only need another 2 chronicles to get Vyv to level 7.

Whoop, Going through chronicles and I miscalculated solidly, Vyviane is level 6 after 3-12, and only needs one chronicle after this one to get to level 7. So we playing high tier no matter what.

EDIT: and I also have about 16,000 after upgrading armor found better armor, she has about 14000... Time to do some shopping.

EDIT, EDIT: Okay did a little shopping. If anyone has good suggestions on other gear, I'm all ears otherwise for now she'll buy:

Weapon upgrade perhaps, but probably best to just wait until you get to level 7 and then upgrade to a level 8 weapon.

About the best I can do at this level is get a KAC targeting weapon (not the best for my attack modifier and the enemy levels) or get a weapon that does a d10 instead of my current d8. Level 8/9 weapons would be better.

I guess Vyviane was being a spiritual successor to her PF1e ancestor who is ostensibly on missions to observe and only gets involved if the group starts to flounder.

Also I loved the jokes and comments.

Indeed. I think when I raised my strength I forgot to take into account the gear boost advantage.

Crap im note sure if that works since magic missle doesnt have an attack roll or save...
I guess ill switch to cautic conversion if magic missle won't disrupt.

Chase Actions

I messed up reading the rules at first and set up a chase action (I've since realized it's a 'check for the group' system and not a 'check per person' one and spoilered the action.) But we get a check to overcome the obstacle (Overtaxing the engines) and a Chase action each round. So, which action do we want to take this round?

I just botted, Nadia. Shifty, asked for an engineering check from her. I don't know if we have a choice on what action we take.

We should get a choice, (see second paragraph) unless the scenario is predetermining our actions.

You get one Obstacle (limited choice depending on the obstacle - first one was Chief Mate OR Engineer). Failing the obstacle either damages the ship or imposes a penalty etc.

You get one Chase action (free choice, but can't use the same choice twice in a row). Your success at chase actions determines your progress in pursuit of the other ship, your failure at chase actions may have other consequences.

Go for it, Nadia. Also, don't forget to take the +2 bonus from the ship's computer.

For the Computers check either Vyv (+13) or Nadia (+15) have our highest skill modifier. We can take a +2 bonus on one of those rolls also.
