GM: From what you told me under the spoiler a few posts back, Chance believes we can probably bring Jilla back by “destroying her vampiric form” and then using powerful necromancy (e.g., the resurrect ritual) to bring her back. Does “destroy” mean “obliterate” so that there is nothing left (requiring us to perform resurrect at level 9), or mostly obliterate (requiring us to perform resurrect at level 7), or just plain kill in a way that leaves us an intact body (level 5, all depending on what level creature Jilla herself is)?

Also, shall we discuss the Mithral Rapier? Chance uses a rapier as his primary melee weapon, but rarely uses it. Vitalis, would a Hellknight use Cayden’s weapon? Edrakk, are alchemist’s proficient with rapiers?

“Destroy” is used in the context of “reduce an undead to 0 HP.” But in this case with the vampire, it means decapitation plus holy water. You’ll still have a body intact.

So, since as I mentioned, I wanted the +2 weapon potency rune for my halberd, I realized that I will now need standard-grade silver rather than the low-grade silver it currently has.

I looked up the rules and saw "After creating an item with a precious material, you can use Craft to improve its grade, paying the Price difference and providing a sufficient amount of the precious material."

So, I can just pay the appropriate amount and have someone with Craft help upgrade it, right? I don't need to buy a standard-grade weapon and then transfer all the runes over to it?

Does anyone else need any downtime? I see that each day we delay, Barzillai's authority increases which is bad. But I also think I could benefit if I could get my weapon upgraded.

We need at least a day of downtime for selling loot & shopping. I think time for transferring runes would be helpful, too. @GMXK - Does it take time to learn a ritual from the written directions, or can Chance cast it from the directions the first time and learn by doing (the way we learned planar binding)?

Question: the greater seer's flute has the Staff trait -- I assume that means that Chance could not prepare both the flute and the Dischordance on the same day, correct? If we decide to keep it, I'll be interested to see what detect alignment gets converted into with the remastered rules.

Literally any divine caster is capable of using the scrolls. One can cast a spell from a scroll even if it’s not of a spell rank you can normally cast.

I addressed this. You have access to Hetamon's clerics of Milani. They're not POWERFUL, but they're divine casters, which is all that's needed.

I just took another look at the horn of blasting - single action 3d6 sonic damage to one target within 30 feet every round with a decent save DC isn't bad for getting past an opponent's physical damage resistance, even without the once per day 30' cone dealing 8d6 sonic damage. It would be like a single action ranged cantrip for Chance or Jisara. But I can see the argument for just cashing it out, too. Any thoughts?

For ease of play in PBP format, would it be easier for me to roll my War Cry on my first post of combat, rather than when initiative is rolled, since the GM is rolling initiative and I would need to pick a target?

Would I have been able to have prepoisoned my weapons during my daily preparations? It's fine if I wouldn't have time, but I probably should ask.

If so, the silver dagger will have antipode oil and the throwing knife will have scarlet mist.

Also, if I have time (and he wants), I'll put antipode oil on Vitalis's halberd too.

Correct, with a slight alteration: the secret doors are only secret from one side. The side with the red dot indicates where door's presence is obvious (i.e. not hidden)

I’m making a slight amendment to my “Hero Points reset at the 1st of the month” thing: Hero Points reset when I make a post saying “Hero Points have reset.” If you spend a Hero Point before then (even if it’s the 1st of the month), then it’s allowed.

That being said: Hero Points have reset

GM, are you thinking of implementing the revealed changes to Refocus (specifically, removing the requirement of having spent a Focus point since the last time you Refocused) prior to the Remaster releasing, or just waiting until it's officially out?

You know what? Yeah. More specifically, I’m going to add it to the House Rule document as such:

In the Refocus activity, remove the clause "since you last regained any Focus Points" from its Requirements. Thus, if you have 0/3 Points in your Focus Pool, you can spend 30 minutes consecutively to regain all 3 Focus Points. Class feats such as Domain Focus allows you to regain up to 2 Focus Points in a single 10-minute period. Class feats such as Domain Wellspring allow you to regain all 3 Focus Points in a single 10-minute period.
