Erryn Canmore
|
When the golem breaks the door down in pursuit, Erryn is ready. Even though she's too slow to avoid its first attack, she deftly knocks its second syringe away with her rapier, pressing a bandage to the wound in the process. She tries to counterattack by bashing in some of its exposed glass, but the strike is off balance and fails to connect. She settles back into a defensive stance, summoning a protective shield into place between her and the golem in place of the ruined door.

Bikpek

Bikpek felt ill, and felt weak, but most of all he felt fury, bubbling just beneath the surface. Fury at this thing that loomed like a skeletal Bugbear of Bikpeks nightmares, thinking that somehow it was okay to hurt those who had shown Bikpek nothing but kindness. His strength was moments away, bubbling beneath the surface.
1 round before Bikpek can Rage again!
But Friends can't wait that long
Bikpek can't see or hear or hear the whippoorwill anymore and takes it absence as an omen.
"Shall not ROUT!!!" He Roars at his foe and his allies as he darts forward once again, thrusting his too-big Horsechopper forward with all his tiny might.

... Glinting with spilled blood and alchemical concoctions Bikpeks Horsechopper, better sized for the monster he wields it clashes against the creatures "shoulder", digging deep into the wood if its neck and sending out an array of splinters.
Screaming and screeching at the monster to look at him, Bikpek doesn't relent even as the construct falls, smacking their blade against the class dome containing hits eyes and brain. The glass smashes open spilling its contents onto the stone, where it is soon squished by the flat of Bikpeks blade.
"No-one *pant* hurt *pant* Bikpeks *pant-pant* Family-Friends."
With the Nightmare machine finally still and in pieces, Bikpek straightens his back and poses for his companions, like he practiced... And does something he has wanted to do since one of the automatons lucky blows...
"Me-no feel so good..."
...He begins to retch, spilling what remains of his breakfast (fish bones and crustacean shells) onto the floor.
Bikpek will keep retching until he in no longer sickened

Landitho starts playing her violin again. The music is quiet and somber as she plays. "How is everyone doing? I'm emotionally drained. We should rest up in one of these rooms. We can tend to our wounds."
The gnome slides down the wall and starts crying. "I don't want to lose any of you. I thought I had."
Elize Braveheart
|
"Alright Guys we can't let it end like this, we must lure it toward us so Erryn and Endra can get out of there... It's easier to say than do but I'm not giving up, delight us with a melody of victory Landitho.Commented the wounded Swashbuckler.

Seaside Archaeology (Part Fourteen)
As cortisol levels return to homeostasis, to the quiet tune of Landitho's gentle strings, the party sits, cries, celebrates, tends eachtothers' wounds, and eventually, clear out the rest of the compound, before climbing back up the cliffside, where Sefu Moyo, currently relaxing peacefully under the shade of a tree, stands up slowly as the party climbs back over one by one.
"You all look like shit!" he teases "But in one piece each!" followed by "Glad they didn't send me!" perhaps striking out three times, he changes his tone "Those ropes look sturdy down there, I'm sure the team that arrives tomorrow will have an easy enough time gaining access to the cave" clapping his hands together, he asks "So - if you don't mind saying - what did you discover?" talking as he makes preparations to depart.
Endra Densinri
|
Endra slings her bow over one shoulder, finally relieved that this ancient horror is over. If that was a failed experiment, I wonder what their successful constructs were like. The elf shudders visibly.
Erryn Canmore
|
Erryn, so focused on watching the golem's movements as it readies itself for another attack, is caught completely off guard when the tiny goblin crashes into it in a frenzy of shouting and smashing steel. And then the fight is over.
A mirror of Landitho, out of sight down the corridor, Erryn slumps against the wall next to her and slides to the floor, exhausted. "Well done," she says, her voice a hushed whisper.
Aktuh
|
"The site appears not to be what we assumed - the architecture is not Osiriani, and we found heavy metal armor, which the Osiriani did not use. Oh, and there was an alchemical golem there. But we didn't get to ask where 8t came from before it tried to murder us all."
Erryn Canmore
|
"Obviously, it failed," Erryn adds, climbing up last, "but not for lack of trying."
Endra Densinri
|
It seems there is some past martial technology here that exceeds our own... there is much to study here.
Endra states, pondering the implications that the golem was likely (at best) some manner of prototype or (at worst) simply one of a legion of the same.
Elize Braveheart
|
"No kidding, that was a freaking crazy machine, golem or alchemical monster, the place was definitely not Osiriani, further exploration or study should exercise precaution and be ready if another of those syringe fingered horrors crawls out..." Remarked the Swashbuckler as she strench out now fully recovered from the ordeal that was fighting the construct.
Bikpek
|
"MMhmm smelt like Jistka. And its claws were big-stabby."
Bikpek will flop himself on the floor of the wagon and curl up in a corner, Snuggling into a raggedy travel pack he seems to be using as a sleeping bag. Yawning he states: "Me thinks next time Bikpek will try be-hit less, and do-hit more. *Yaaawn.* But beating it was easyies really. it stood no chance against the Pathfinders."

On Behalf of the Prince (Part Four)
Gol Amiri sneers.
"You're inability to secure the Golem fully intact will, per our agreement here..." She indicates a clause whose font would require the average eyesight to procure magnifying spectacles to parce "...Shall be deducted from your Deposit upon it's return!"
Sefu Moyo shoots 1d6 ⇒ 1 Aktuh a knowing look. The trip back had been pleasant. Indeed, the cunning driver had wrestled out a special "holiday cheer" and shared it round the caravan, no doubt causing the imminent tardiness that is perhaps being scolded for here but under a different name.
"What permission do I have you, the undersigned, to author? Please confirm or deny with your signature here" She slides the document back across the desk, and points to a quill pen. The docks the party arrived from in view of the window.
Bikpek
|
Bikpek Looks at the the good-name lady, and then at Sefu, and then back to Gol Amiri.
He pauses for a moment, and then looks up at Gol, mouth and eyes open wide.
"What?"
"You-say you knew syringe man was in there and didn't tell us?"
Endra Densinri
|
Endra growls under her breath, also quite irritated by the revelation.
We had a lot of questions about the contents of our licensed site when this all began. That would have been a great time to bring up the existence of the thing that almost just killed us! I'm starting to get an idea of how you might re-sell sites after sending groups to their deaths...
She glares at Gol as she makes the last implication, awaiting any sort of attempt at legitimate response.
Erryn Canmore
|
"You are making a mistake, Miss Amiri," Erryn says, her voice cool. "One that the Society will remember. One that I will remember. This may mean very little to you now, but the Red Queen teaches her followers how to hold a grudge."
Landitho
|
Landitho stands back and watches the group. "Yes, we almost lost a few of our members. We will not forget this. I will make sure Gorm knows of this slight."
Elize Braveheart
|
"Is that so..? I thought something was fishy but decided to trust you, I was mistaken, I mistake from which I'll learn but now..." Added a obviously angry Elize as she glares at Gol Amiri.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
not sure if frightening or coerce will work here but at the very least Elize is angry and wants to show it

On Behalf of the Prince (Part Five)
You realize later - perhaps a week into the journey - that the ship is not headed in the direction you had intended, but the opposite direction, and have to spend the remaining of your commission on arranging two more overseas trips - one just to get partway back, and one to actually head where you are going.
Gol Amiri's stern silence in the face of your criticism makes sense now in hindsight - looking back over your charter paperwork, a single signature withheld seems to be the source of the confusion, and thus the misadventure.
Will the PCs' travels lead them inadvertently to Greater Glory? Will they ever visit the realm of the Prince Zinlo's realm of Aspenthar? Or settle their score with Gol Amiri? What will become of the remaining parts of Syringe Man?
Fin.
