I think that's the ioun torch, which I suggested giving to Pharus.

There's also the everburning torch in the camp if we wanted to take it, but I don't know if that can be covered up.


I numbered the rooms for you to make directions easier, hopefully it helps.

Hey Premek, reading this combat I noticed you rolling 2d6 sneak attack dice. It's this a cat special?

Nope. I took Accomplished Sneak Attacker as my feat. Prereq is you already need to do sneak attack damage, but it adds an additional die.

That leaves me the option of taking Arcane Trickster without any more rogue levels (just need to get to 4 levels of sorcerer and some additional skill ranks).

I remember the hours spent building a damn cube for ToV, making it glow slightly in the dark, and then hanging bits of things in it so it looked like the iconic jelly cube,

Hey Sighere, just confirming; you said the ward is +3 to AC and saves? It says +2 on the website, but I don't know if you have something that boosts that.

Also I just realized that I shouldn't actually get all of that to saves since my saves already include a +1 resistance bonus from the cloak and they don't stack.

I'll go ahead and add the temporary values to my stat block once confirmed.

my bad, it is +2. Not sure why I put 3 (must have been thinking +1 per level).


I suspect Ryll's out of town this weekend, so we'll continue either later tonight or tomorrow when she and Sighere have updated gameplay...

FYI all -- Oozes are immune to critical hits and flanking, other stuff too, but Premek didn't roll that high.

I have removed 2 of the "small gems" from the loot tracker since I'm feeding the crysmal. This couldn't possibly go wrong.

That was not remotely what I was planning to do when I started writing my post, but JD posted while I was composing. I just want you to know that 1)I rolled way better against pink, and 2)I apologize if I messed anything up between the first and seventh version of that as I kept noticing more stuff that I hadn't needed to know for the first version.

Question: Is that long format with rounds and damage done more helpful to everyone? I find it makes my posting easier once we've got status effects running to keep track of the rounds. Very different from putting a D6 on top of a note fer sure...

I think it's pretty useful when trying to decide who to target.

Yeah, it's nice to have that all that in one place, especially when there's so many characters in a fight. My problem was that I'd just skimmed it when pink was between me and the rest of the fight, and I should've gone back and read it more carefully when that changed.


Sorry lots of grad school and housework this weekend. Will update tomorrow

So... Snowball for a bunch of quick damage? Damage is always good. Would be 3d6, 5d6 if sneak attacking.

Or Summon Minor Monsters for distraction and scouting? If I summon cats, they could be DR 1 celestial cats with darkvision, energy resistance 5 for fire, electricity, and cold, and I could communicate with them. Not great for making attacks though.

I'd go for snowball over summon minor monsters, or something like ray of enfeeblement.

Also who are you thinking about for promotion? Any of the NPCs at this point are eligible, except for Aubrin. The level 2 Npcs are close to feats, which could mean kinig or Vane are closer to producing really useful materials for the party/refugees.

Of the level 2's, Kining is an obvious choice, but Rhyna might be good for spells.

I don't have a sense of what Vane could do, especially with our limited resources here.

I don't know that we need summons, it's just that I get a bonus DR 1 so I'm wondering if I should use it. Plus, you know, cats.

Ray of Enfeeblement is a good spell, but I already have too many specializations, I think it's better to double down on one of them. Snowball builds on sneak attack, the Ray wouldn't.

I think Kining should be one of our choices for advancement. I don't have strong opinions about the second one.

Huh. The program I'm using seems a little confused whether I should have 38 or 41 HP. Possibly because I upped my CON? Is it trying and not entirely succeeding at backdating the newly +3 CON to apply to previous levels? Is it supposed to succeed at that?

Also I'm taking Terrain Mastery: Forest, because what I really need is more conditional modifiers to rolls.


Could be its erroring out for the Con modifier adjustment. Sounds like you should have 41 based on what I'm seeing.
