Izumi Shinano
Poppy! Take the goblin!, she says swinging at the half elf.
1d20 + 3 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 1 - 3 = 18 for 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
Eat steel villain!
GM Anthorg - RotR
Being far from the half-elf, Poppy attempts to attack the goblin.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Poppy fails to remove the flanking advantage of the half-elf. He retaliates, trying to take out the most menacing looking opponent, Izumi, who made him start to breathe heavily. He makes two successive punches at her, moving lightning fast.
Goblin @Izumi: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Tsuto @Izumi: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (5) = 9
Tsuto @Izumi: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 1 + (3) = 10
While his first punch meets her armor, his second punch presses Izumi's armor against her kidney, making her faint in pain. Izumi, take 10 damage.
Party's up again. Goblin is healthy, half-elf is wounded
Dolgrin Stonecaller
Seeing Izumi get beaten to death Dolgrin shouts "Help her!" The fear of loosing an ally in his eyes he hammers the half-elf angriliy,
attack half-elf, grazed: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 - 1 = 6
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 - 1 = 5
but fails to hit even slightly.

Seeing Izumi fall, Dart feels helpless. He can't get to her with the Half-Elf in the way, but even if he could, he has no healing magic to use didn't prepare cure spells and have used all of my spells except my domain spell and I can't channel because my archetype doesn't get that until 3rd. Instead, he tries to spur his other allies to great heights by calling out encouragingly, "Don't let her efforts be in vain! Vanquish this filth so we can tend to our beloved priestess!"
Dart also resolves to trust fully in his goddess for protection will use adoration if attacked (DC 14 will save to be able to attack me, it's like sanctuary as an immediate action).
Renews inspire courage, so maybe Dolgrin misses slightly better? Let's hope Poppy saves the day...and yes, I may have spent time this weekend building a new character since I half expected the Half-Elf to step up and kill Dart this round. This battle's intense!
GM Anthorg - RotR
Poppy decides to not attack for now. Instead, she concentrates on a spell and heals Izumi.
CLW on Izumi: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Goblin AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
After Izumi's wounds close, the goblin is angry that at Poppy and attempts to hurt her. Meanwhile, the half-elf turns his attention on Dart once he sees the goblin has started uncoordinated. He steps towards the blue-haired half-elf and punches him twice.
Green @Poppy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Tsuto Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Tsuto @Dart: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tsuto @Dart: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The goblin successfully attacks Poppy, cutting her on her arm. Poppy, take 4 damage
As the half-elf is about to attack Dart, the latter uses a quick charm on him, but he is able to shake it off and still punches him, despite it being only a glancing blow. Dart, take 2 damage
Party's up again

As Dart's words of encouragement linger, they somehow sound hollow in his ears and as he sees his own blood falling from multiple wounds, he thinks of an adorable young gal with a smile on her face, flour smudged on her cheeks, and a tray full of cookies, and he steels himself with the thought, I will survive. I will not abandon her, and with that thought, he lets out a cry of enraged fury and stabs at the Half-Elf.
Masterwork Longspear: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 81d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
I think I did the math right. +1 from masterwork, +1 from inspire courage, but -2 from wounds?
But his stab goes wide as he stumbles from blood loss and slumps against the wall, not yet fallen, but clearly in bad shape.

Aww

Huh? How did taking 2 damage leave you in such bad shape?
Dolgrin Stonecaller
"Thanks, Poppy" Dolgrin acknowledged, while keeping his eyes on the Half-elf.
attack half-elf, grazed: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 1 - 1 = 4
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 - 1 = 10
even as a raging barbarian, I couldn't hit this Half-elf

Pretty sure I was at minus 9... am at 0 now... so am awake
None of her Magic's would bring this foe down... weakened though she was, she stabbed out at him...
1d20 + 3 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 - 3 = 13 for 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
If there's any flanking/assist others that's a 15...

1d20 + 3 + 1 - 3 for 1d8 + 3 + 1
Sadly, you're prone and disabled. So an attack costs you 1 HP and you can not get up and attack. You can act again if you'd like.

@GM Anthorg-Dart is in such bad shape from taking an arrow when he opened the door and then another the next round. The 2 was just icing on the cake. Of course, he'd be in even worse shape if Izumi hadn't gotten off a channel earlier in the fight.

So, I count a total of 9 damage? Or did you take damage before that too? Anyway, if you have less than 1/4 your total HP, you get -3. And an attack makes you lose 1 HP.

By my count, 5 from the first arrow and 7 from the second for 12, Izumi healed 3, so 9, but then I had the 2, then acted this round, so I was at 0 before his punch, -2 after, and then -3 from acting. Like I said, intense fight!
Izumi Shinano
Izumi just lies there instead and casts cure light wounds on herself hoping he'll miss.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Darthain "Dart" Brindleflame

So, Dart slumps against the wall and then to the floor unconscious and I'll understand wounds better for next time. Sorry about that!
Izumi Shinano
Izumi takes advantage of the fact that the half-elf is now too far to threaten her spellcasting and the goblin is too busy with Poppy to disrupt her and heals herself.
Half-elf is too far and goblin already used his AoO this round. You're clear.
Whew
GM Anthorg - RotR
Poppy tries another swing at the goblin, hoping to bring it down and focus all the attention on the half-elf.
Poppy @gobo: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Poppy manages a crushing swing on the goblin who stumbles and almost falls from it. It tries to retaliate. Meanwhile, the half-elf looks around and seems to think he is in a favorable position. He attacks Dolgrin with two quick punches.
Gobo @Poppy: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (5) + 2 - 3 = 4
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Tsuto @Dolgrin 1: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Tsuto @Dolgrin 2: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
While the goblin is seeing stars and misses Poppy completely, the half-elf seems very focused despite his wounds. Both his punches hit Dolgrin in the belly, making him bend in pain. Dolgrin, take 8 damage from both attacks combined.
Party's up again. Enemy status: Goblin - Disabled, Half-elf - Wounded
Dolgrin Stonecaller
Dolgrin almost goes down from the blows, but catches his breath. He steps away and casts a spell.
"Needs must"
clw: 1d8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 - 1 = 5

-1 hp for taking a standard action while disabled. Bless is the only spell I can use for this. One can't convert domain spells

Rolling to stabilize
Stabilizing?: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
And stable!
GM Anthorg - RotR
Poppy zaps the half-elf through the door with her lightning.
Zap with cover: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 4 = 1
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Gobo AoO: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 3 = 14
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Unfortunately, her shot hits the wall.
The goblin continues trying to attack Poppy while the half-elf follows Brand to the door's threshold.
Gobo @Poppy: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 3 = 6
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Tsuto @Brand: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 2 = 4
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Tsuto @Brand: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 2 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The tiredness seems to be getting to the goblin and the half-elf as they miss all their attempts at the group.
Party's up again. Status: goblin - disabled; half-elf - wounded

Dart's soul continues to cling to his body begging desperately for Shelyn to keep him from departing for the Boneyard. He must return to his Aneka. He can't leave her when he's only just finally found her, his muse.
So yeah, stable and basically just scenery, but that would have been boring to write ;=)

Katana: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16 for divinely favoured 1d8 + 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (7) + (4) + 3 = 14
Stepping up, her blade glowing with a warm yellow white light, she swung her Katana in a skilful downward cut...
Izumi Shinano
@Izumi: That's one sexy swing, but where did the d4 come from?
Me forgetting PF vs. 5E... so that's just 11 dmg, but is now 17 to hit
Dolgrin Stonecaller
Feeling much better, Dolgrin steps back out. He was hoping to see Dart fending off the Half-elf with his spear and provoking an opening for himself, but sadly he went down, too.
attack, wounded: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 - 2 = 9
"give up already. You won't get away."
GM Anthorg - RotR
The goblin faints from pain and Poppy uses the opportunity to try to zap the half-elf again.
Zap into melee with cover: 1d20 + 2 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 4 - 4 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Despite her good shot and the half-elf's sorry state, he manages to expertly dodge her shot.
After Izumi's deadly cut across his torso, the half-elf sees his situation is dire and decides to withdraw from combat. He steps away and moves over Dart's unconscious body, running away.
He withdraws from combat. Act on it if you like

Dart takes an AoO to bleed on him.
Izumi Shinano
Chase him down or just chase him away? He's a dangerous bugger
Dolgrin Stonecaller
"He's too fast for me, I can't chase him!" Dolgrin shouts as he tries to follow and shoots an acidic ray at the running enemy or the corner where he disappeared.

Follow me!, she says charging after him...
GM Anthorg - RotR
Izumi chases the half-elf, but her armor encumbrances her too much and she can't keep up. Poppy follows the aasimar, but her short legs also means she fails to keep up.
So, he runs faster than all of you except Dart, were he conscious. Poppy can shoot a ranged weapon once, as can you Izumi, before the half-elf is lost in the winding of the tunnels.
Poppy zap: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Poppy Pomegranate
Poppy stops chasing the half-elf. bent over breathing heavy.
Yeah.. he's too....fast... this... really... hurts... ouch...
Who is or... was... that guy?
Once all the bad guys are gone (or clear) Poppy looks at the sorry state of everyone.
Tor's Blessing she says as she slams her hammer on the ground and a wave of energy bursts forth.
channel to heal: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Darkness take him. Let's get back in fighting shape. We have not seen the last of him
Darthain "Dart" Brindleflame

After the wave of healing washes out from the Gnome, Dart's eyes flutter open and he takes a deep gasp of breath and starts frantically looking around.
"Is everyone alright?" he asks, though there's relief in his voice since he can see all of his comrades are still with him and on their feet. "Did we...did we..." and he shakes his head as if to clear some cobwebs [occ]since he was mostly dead[/ooc] and then tries again, "did we find Ameiko?"
Dolgrin Stonecaller
"No we didn't. But whoever that guy was, he might have known. But they're fast those elves. Even half-ones. But who am I telling." Dolgrin speaks in his usal deep voice, but this time with an angry undertone.
Darthain "Dart" Brindleflame
|
"I was...not much help, I'm afraid," Dart says as he stand up. "So, are we able to look further? If Ameiko is still here somewhere, we have to help her if we can."
I have several rounds of inspire courage left (9 with lingering performance), but I'm down to cantrips and charm person (my domain spell) casting-wise.
Izumi Shinano
Agreed... can everyone continue? As much as I would like a rest, I fear she will suffer harm if we do
