Omari sees the diplomacy is well in hand and joins Manuun searching.

Having secured this battle market, let's take our time and do Take 20 searches in all the 2nd and 3ed floor rooms. It's likely going to be the princesses HQ; lets not have any surprises in the architecture.

Ohrmizd continues eyeing the goblin checking for his real interior self, but he leaves the scene and starts to snort before he can complete his aura reading "Whatever. Let's search this place thoroughly as Omari proposes"

Once the full exploration has been completed the Keleshite starts to lay plans for the next steps "So... let's tell Garavel there is no other but arena fighters and merchants left. I think they will be able to take control of the place with ease"

"This resulted a bit easier than I expected. Perhaps we can head into the church crypt directly today without having to rest more?"

We're in late afternoon at this point - take 20 searching of 2 levels of a building takes hours... it's got to be at least 1500, and we need to travel back to the monastery, and then back here - another 2 hours - and then get the princess set up...

When they find large sums of money Manuun jabs at Ohrmizd " I think this is enough for you to buy that silver farmin equipment you wanted earlier."

When Omari suggests going back:
"I think he is right. Remember today in the morning we had a tough fight and most of us have not too many spells left."

"But maybe we can check out the Watchtower before returning home. I think we still have that time."

Going just back is also fine with me.

"Oh my! This was an intense day! I think I do need a warm bath and a relaxing massage. Do you think Soraya would be akin to it?" Ohrmizd stashes his scimitar as the get out of the Pesh fields and spot the monastery "First think first, let's take a look at how things are going back at camp"

Ohrmizd will first check how the mercenaries funeral is going and will help at it, also checking how the morale of the remaining guards is. Then he will want to make a short report to Garavel about the status of the battle market. After that, he checks with Father Zastoran to make sure Kardswann is still unconscious and not coldly assassinated. Only then he does relax eating some of Hadrah's soup.

The Keleshite is more than happy to share tasks with the others to be more efficient.

Back at the monastery, Ohrmizd seeks audience with Garavel and the Princess "Boss, the battle market has been fully explored. No one opposed resistance. The place has been used for fight show and trading. I think if we allow for the business to be continued and slowly directed into whatever you see better, the place shall be fully taken with just small effort"

"There is a woman at the battle market, her name is Haleen and she is an old friend. We trust her and she knows the place and the people there, I think making her manager of the place would be a good way to make the coin flowing into the Packmaster's pockets with little conflict with their current occupants" he makes a stop to see Garavel's and the Princess reactions "If Princess Almah did not already had a different plan for the place already of course."

Omari hasn't the foggiest clue about Father Zastoran's advanced medical techniques, but he's too busy to inquire deeply. Omari spends the evening manufacturing crude arrowheads from silver coins (from the gnoll's stash), and mounting them on arrows, as a preparation for tomorrow's confrontation with the Hecueva (and then into the crypt).

Took a peek at Soraya - the avatar does look good :D And I really do love the Dawnflower Dervish (haven't played one in ages) - just a shame the Inspire Courage becomes a 'selfish' ability...

You manage to equip 5 arrows with silver heads, per two hours you find time to work on it with that roll. And the arrows are the same, no matter what bow.


"It's tragic that they can't see what they made possible with their sacrifice. I wonder if it would be best to put them to rest in the crypt." Zastoran ponders.

Ok, I am assuming that I will be able to find 4 hrs (1800-2200) this evening. So that's 10 Silver tipped arrows

Then both are brought down and put to rest together with their belongings. Father Zastoran does a short sermonabout life and death and prays that Pharasma will send them for eternity where they hoped to go in life.

Short after the talk with Garavel and Almah, Ohrmizd joins the others at the crypt "My only words is if I die, please do not leave my bones cold in this cellar taking dust. Make a pire in the cloisters and burn me in Sarenrae's fire. Dig a hole there and pour whatever remains. Put a plate afterwards with something fun, like 'Died like he lived, rushing forward'"

After a short visit to his favorite goat, Rombard, Ohrmizd goes to sleep.

The next day Ohrmizd gives his methodical early day examination around the monastery. Then comes to Sarenrae's main altar and takes his prayers. Today mainly asking for courage to face the horrors of the day and expel the spirits of Kelmarane church, but also asks patience to endure Garavel disregard and Manuun's quips.

Back to the main room he smiles everyone "Ready for undead hunting?We have a church crypt to clean up and a gate to open."

Watching the ceremony from the back, Mannun thinks back about the Fight wirth the flying Deerman and how close he was to lying here too. "Or probably lying somewhere in the hills buried behind some rocks." Shaking from the thought he hurries out as soon as the ceremony is over.

Afterwards he grabs his new book and sits down below a tree in the light of the afternoon, to brush up on his knowledge about the five templars and whatever might be lying below that cliff.

When he is later seeing Soraya working on her own by now in removing the Brush and dirt from another part of the monastery he decide to help out for a while and help replacing the missing mercenaries in that way. In the evening he is barely able to move anymore before fslling into his bed and sleeping.

In the morning he checks on all his Weapons and tools, checking his arrows and bowstring before following Ohrmizd to see if Garavel has any special commands for todays task.

He looked around to see if anyone else was going to say anything, yet found no one else. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forwards and turned to face the others before speaking.

"If I was to be honest, I did not expect such a thing when I was first employed. In my case, Manuun and Ohrmizd had to get me out of a trap and I tagged along. It wasn't a path I thought I had taken, but the company has been wonderful with all the people and especially the food."

He pointed towards Hadrah.

"And it is with regret that some of them did not live to see the next day after that ambush. Those men and women gave their lives to hold back the gnolls while the rest of us prepared and deserve every bit of respect for their sacrifice. Which is why I hope that their lost lives will not be in vain."

Come the dawn, Omari prays to Erastil, and prepares his spells for the day...

At breakfast, he would like to discuss strategy: "Ok, the last time you visited the church, there was a Huecuva in the graveyard, pretending to pray... to lure fools in as prey. ( I have put a red X on slide 5 to mark where we think it is. Also, that was a deliberate pun.) The undead are renowned for being habitual, so I suspect it will be there again. My proposal is simple - at the front of the church (red circle mark) , we use a rope and a grappling hook to get up on the roof - myself, Heshan and Manuun. We set up on the roof while Roryx and Ohrmzid walk around the church to the south and into the graveyard. They shout out when they see it, and ready themselves for it's charge. When the roof group hears the shout, they look over the edge and start shooting... Manuun uses his grease spell to keep it in the killing ground. Once that is done, we climb down off the roof, and thoroughly explore the church. Then we enter the crypt and find what's what..."

"Aye, well said Heshan" Ohrmizd nods and makes a blessing sign, supporting his arcane companion.

"Just take care when climbing there up. Roofs have a bad tendency to break here around" Ohrmizd hands his ring of feather fall to Heshan and remembers to Manuun and Omari that "Remember Uruk and Kardswann where well educated enough to bring another one as a present when they came to visit us"

With a well laid off plan ahead, Ohrmizd picks up some dried food, his backpack, shield and weapons and says goodbye to everyone in the monastery.

Once back at Kalmerane, he moves around the western edge with the group, readying himself at the doors while looking if the ranged team is able to climb the roof without trouble.

Manuuns is looking for some ornaments to grab onto but the old structure immediately begins to break apart. Luckily for Manuun the ring of feather falling activates in time to avoid damage.

Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 realizing he needs to look for stability too Manuun discovers a better route this time.

Should hopefully be enough for a strucutred and adorned building If it needs multiple successes just roll for me.

Manuun lets a rope down for Heshan and Omari, fixing it on some spire and making sure it doesn't slip of.

Then he moves over to the other side, trying not to be seen and checks if the Huecueva is still there.

Heshan has a better start in his climbing career, though it is one where he did not improve as much as Manuun. But it was enough for him to reach the rooftop with some effort.

Then he stops on the near edge, and casts magic weapon on all the arrows (hits 50 pieces of ammo - I have 42, including the 10 silver ones, duration = 3 minutes). He advances to the middle of the building and sets a silvered arrow on the string. There he waits for Manuun's signal to advance and shoot..

The cliffside behind the ruined church overlooks the fields west of Kelmarane through a ruined series of pillared arches. Across a short yard stands a column about 10 feet tall, upon which stands a splendid statue
of Sarenrae with both arms upraised to the heavens. In the shadow of this
statue are five graves marked with the life-sized statues of holy warriors.

What appears to be a human man garbed in the fine robes of Sarenrae kneels before the graves, muttering a quiet series of prayers. Unfazed by the noise made on the roof.

The huecuva turns, and while charging Ohrmizd, the disguise drops and the ugly undead comes to light. It claws at Ohrmizd with it's rotten hand where the bones poke out.

Pure faith in Sarenrae deflects the rotting claw, then Ohrmizd grasps the silver flail with both hands and swings it with all his strength at the huecuva "Your corruption is an insult to Sarenrae! How did you fall this low?"
