With a mournful look as the creature grasps at her robes the cleric responds, "Yes my friend, we shall properly put your bodies to rest so your souls may seek their reward. Sleep eternally now."

She looks at her allies, "Well done. Your prowess is impressive."

Turning to the scratch Arboreal sustained she inspects it closely, "There doesn't appear to be any infection, a simple bit of healing shall suffice. Here, let me get it."

Pulling out a wand the injury is quickly healed. The cleric stows the wand and turns to search the room.

Making your way cautiously down the corridor, flanked by empty alcoves on both sides, you turn a corner and see a set of double doors. Niza and Albis leading take a couple more steps... *BOOM*

A loud noise rings out suddenly, echoing through the stone chamber as the duo set off a trap!

Pausing here so you can react to the situation and whatnot. You don't hear anything and the doors in front of you don't appear trapped or locked. The trap that was set off doesn't reset

I can't get over how they think I'm some kind of cannibal. I was clearly under some kind of compulsion.... It was rotten flesh! Wouldn't a real cannibal want to eat delicious fresh flesh, probably with a nice sear, and some salt and pepper? Maybe an herb marinade or something? I mean, we wander through a world with evil deities, undead, and crazy spellcasting. There will be a day when I can use my own power to compel someone to do something like that; why is it so unbelievable that I was similarly compelled? Maybe I'll use Dimple as my first experiment with that, see what she thinks when she's....

Double checking the doors, you slide them open to see a vast room ahead of you.

Whatever purpose this vaulted, brick-lined chamber may have once served, today it is obviously the inner sanctum of some depraved cult. Unnerving, spiky runes have been painted on the brick walls with blood, between which dozens of mutilated birds—gulls, falcons, ravens, and a particularly large number of doves—have been impaled. The foul stink of rotting meat emanates from these grisly trophies. Opposite the only visible entrance, a jagged boulder with a bloodstained cloth draped over it serves as an altar, several fly-covered, foul-smelling lumps of meat siting atop it. The wall just beyond the altar has been painted to depict a single curved white feather sitting in a pool of blood. To either side of this symbol yawn archways set with barred doors, turning the alcoves beyond into prison cells. The northern cell’s door hangs ajar, but deep shadows obscure what might be found in either cell.

If you can read abyssal and are trained in Knowledge Religion, you can give me a Knowledge Religion Check for the sigils

Before you in a locked cage, you see a male wearing noble rags. He appears to have been held for sometime...while overall he seems healthy, he looks mildly malnourished. A mound of hay sits in one corner, while a chamber pot is seen in the other.

Kasvot takes a step back, away from the betrayer. "That's my dagger you're stabbing my friend with! That wasn't the agreement!" He draws in arcane power, and attempts a spell he's never tried yet. The betrayers eyes begin clouding over as darkness encroaches at the corners of the man's vision.

Niza screeches in anger at the betrayal. The screech quickly turns into the real thing as she shifts into eagle form and flies over angrily towards the jerk.

Kasvot quickly casts a spell at the traitorous man. Feeling some resistance, he wills it to be. (SR 18) The darkness begins to creep into the man's vision...something he seems unaccustomed to...suddenly, he grabs at his eyes and shrieks "WHAT?! YOU DARE?! I'LL SEE YOU BURN IN HELL!" (And....failed the fort save)

Dimple, not being one to say "I told you so" reminds everyone she'd requested the guards help earlier...She then begins to question her own divinity in a somewhat encouraging fashion.

Certain he should save his spells for something more deserving, the conjurer steps forward and scrapes his dagger across the unusually tough skin of the man as a screeching sound comes from the back of the room.

Nizeagle has returned to save us all! Soaring across the room, she readies to taste the foes life juice.

Staggering back into the cell (5ft step) the nobleman's form shimmers...and elongates. Tiny horns sprout from his head as a sinuous tail shoots out from behind the unnaturally alluring...woman! Scratching at her eyes, she shrieks again before vanishing in a puff of purple smoke.

The creature cannot see. I believe the prot evil was cast on Niza, considering she is by far the most druid-like companion of Arboreal and he moved up to stand next to her for the cast. If that is the case and the summoned creature is evil, it can't attack Niza unless it has some SR to overcome Prot Evil.
