Looking at the low hanging sun with a modicum of disdain. This evil taint will be with me another four hours at least. He looks to the others and asks, "Might we wait awhile before entering? I feel it may be a few hours yet until a can funnel any appreciable energy into my spells." He waves one of the recovered wands, "Otherwise, this will be the extent of my offence."

A quick search of the area around the strange crashed object doesn't turn up anything of interest. The strange bat-elf woman points towards a large crack in its side that would seem to allow entry, muttering more in a strange language.

Aklo:
“The Eye watches and grows nearer! It wants the planets back. Soon, it will be upon us.”

Dawa, my understanding is that K'nai would have to spend a standard action to lower his spell resistance even for spells you cast. (unless there's a specific exemption to the general rules for animal companions)

Izlin has asked about camping outside for a few more hours--please RP your decision.

Xilt nods at Izlin's request.

"Spells can be recast easily enough. We should wait for you to recover."

4 temporary level drain is pretty nasty. -4 on all saves and -20 hit points plus other negative effects of course. ;)

Dawa says solemnly, "Let us see what the holy moon advises." Then he takes up a location directly next to the celestial tiger, who appears to function as some kind of totemic guide throughout the process, and takes a minute to perform various incantations. "O harsh mistress moon, if we wait here for four hours before we enter the strange place, will it be good or ill for us?"

Casting Augury, caster level 7, GM rolls secretly for result: 77% chance of a meaningful result

Out of character: I have no problem with waiting for Izlin. I'm just entertained to finally have a chance to cast Augury. It's a bonus spell from K'nai's Totem Guide archetype, which I thought was cool when I first built the character, but I don't think I've ever had a chance to use it.

Dawa frowns. "I have received the answer "nothing" but the portents of the holy moon are often inscrutable and difficult for me to interpret. I suggest we wait here for some time - four hours should be sufficient - while I attempt to discern the true meaning of this guidance."

The four hours pass without incident, apart from the batlike elf woman's constant pantomime that you should hurry. After lunch, Izlin feels much better as the lifeforce drained from him by the spectres quickly returns.

As the group prepares to enter the strangely-shaped object, the strange woman accompanying nods furiously but makes no move to accompany you.

Izlin, you easily made all four saves to get rid of the negative levels.

When the Pathfinders proceed cautiously through the crack in the outer layer of the object, they see a sizable chamber beyond. The crack spreads across the width of the room, splitting the area in half. Standing at the bottom of a ten-foot-deep fissure and looking up, the adventurers realise they're inside what can only be described as the hull of a ship!

The western half of the chamber is taken up by what appears to have been a meditation area and by a kitchen with a large circular stove sitting one corner. To the east lie the ruins of several tables and a corridor proceeding into darkness, while to the north is a storage area filled with crates and boxes.

But before anyone can start to ascend the jagged walls of the fissure for further exploration, a figure looms on each side from above! Two hideous, bestial humanoids with splayed elephantine feet and faces like horned rhinoceroses bellow loudly with rage!

Although Izlin's dagger hits the top of the fissure, Almaas sinks two arrows into the abdomen of one of the strange rhino-men!

@Izlin and GM Jhaeman - I think that Fort saves are required to shake off the temporary negative levels after the 24 hour period otherwise they become permanent negative levels.

Xilt looks up spotting the strange creatures. He looks at them for a moment deep in thought.

"I have never seen the like or have I? Well they must need to see."

He casts Glitterdust (Will DC 23 to resist with Arcane point spent) attempting to blind the creatures.

@GM Jhaeman - Are these unique creatures or can we make knowledge checks?

Xilt's conjured glitter blinds the mutated rhino-man who had already been hurt by Almaas' arrows and is further struck by magic missiles from Tzletzor.

Sorry Dawa, putting the "bridge" at that angle would be so steep that it'd be harder to climb than just the DC 10 to climb the walls.

Black made its save vs glitterdust, but Yellow failed.

Sorry Xilt, these are once again unique creatures. You're probably starting to sense a pattern of humanoids with animalistic features, and they're all related to something specific in the module.

Dawa once again swiftly begins a song of inspirational courage in Celestial. Then he casts a spell on the Black enemy.

Casting Barbed Chains. Dawa has Darkvision so concealment shouldn't apply. By my reading of the spell cover also wouldn't apply (since you conjure the chains where you want them) but no problem if you disagree).

Trip, inspire, banner, vs CMD: 1d20 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 4 = 22 On a successful hit or combat maneuver check, the target must attempt a DC 18 Will save. If it fails its save, the creature is shaken for 1d4 rounds.

2nd chain: 1d20 ⇒ 11

3rd chain: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Each chain will attempt to Trip (at +16) until it is tripped. Then the remaining chains will attack (also at +16, vs prone AC), doing 1d6+4 slashing dmg. Each successful chain requires a DC 18 Will save or shaken for 1d4 round, but these don't stack.

Then Dawa attempts to climb out of the fissure.

Climb DC 10: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Meanwhile, K'nai, swiftly enters Dragon Style and climbs up the other side.
Climb DC 10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

As Taman scales the jagged wall of the fissure, Dawa conjures fearsome chains from another realm of existence! The chains knock one of the bestial foes to the ground and score his flesh for good measure.

Dawa, I calculate that each attack would be at +13 (your BAB + primary casting modifier), with no bonuses for inspiration, banner, etc. (since it's a spell) If that's right, the first chain misses, the second does trip, and the third hits Black's prone AC. Black is thus prone and shaken.

GM Dice:

Damage from third chain: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Save # 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Save # 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Shaken Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 2

With a deep bellow of rage, one of the rhino-men leaps to his feet and attacks Taman with a vicious two-handed overhand swing! Meanwhile, the other one tries to shake off the glitter from Xilt’s spell but the particles continue to blind it.

Black does a move action to stand up, a 5’ step towards Taman, and a power attack with his longsword. Yellow does total defense and tries a new save at the end of his turn.

Black lands a critical hit. Taman, you take 38 points of damage (I forgot to subtract the shaken damage in the die roll below). Yellow fails the save and is still blinded.

GM Dice:

The tiefling smirks as the others climb up the side. Poor souls. I nealy pity them and their primitive machinations. Izlin calls upon his recently discovered power, allowing himself the ability to soar above the melee. He heads straight up, leaving himself twenty feet above the combat.

I should be able to take Xilt with me if you'd like. I could stop at ground level and set you down on either side.

No thanks Izlin. Xilt is fine where he is for now.

Rhino-man blood spurts everywhere as Taman connects with two powerful swings of his bastard sword. The foe is badly hurt but still standing. Xilt's and his familiar's trademark magical missiles almost fell the other mutated man, and an arrow from Almaas finishes the job.

Yellow is down, but Black is still fighting. K'nai's target is killed before his turn--Dawa, if you want to have him do something else that's fine.

The sole remaining rhino-man continues to trade powerful blows with Taman, and then tries to impale the barbarian with its horn! One of the attacks gets through Taman's defences, leaving a blood streak.

Black does two sword attacks and a gore. One of the sword attacks hits. Taman, you take 16 points of damage.

Dawa rediscovers his ability to speak Taldane and asks if anyone is hurt. Since I assume the ruckus may have alerted anyone else that we are here, Dawa will not take 10 minutes to polish his singing steel buckler.

With the immediate threats contained, a search of the chamber reveals nothing of interest or value. The western wall holds a door, while the eastern wall holds another door and the opening to a narrow corridor.

Dawa sets to healing Taman's wounds, using his wand of Cure Light. I'm not sure how far down you are - was it ever resolved whether or not Dawa's use of Misfortune prevented the crit on Taman? - so just roll however many charges of 1d8+1 you need to heal yourself and let me know how many charges to cross off.

Sorry Dawa, I missed that. I'll roll below.

Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Because Taman was raging at the time, it would still have confirmed.

Oh, but I didn't misfortune the confirmation roll - I misfortuned the initial crit threat itself.

Okay, so it's a normal hit instead of a critical hit. Taman, you can add 18 hit points back to your total.
