We already talked to the parents about splitting up (and they should be comforted by the giant's presence) and even, I think, planned for Daffrid to go with us and her husband to shepherd the kids.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's Tellith (the dad), Maffree, and Taffrit, plus the giant and Vurna.

Fortiva nimbly shifts and shakes her barrel-raft through the sewer passage.

When they reach the cove, she makes sure Bazerofan has the scroll of water breathing close at hand, then rows herself and Maffree out to the waiting ship.
With the plan to ditch the barrel once there and return safely in Highwire's rowboat.

Seddothrum complains a bit when wandering through the sewers. He has to duck and squeeze a lot more than the rest of you (and as such, is unable to help with the boats). However, as he says, "I am not going to let a little discomfort keep me away from freedom."

Highwire is able to get his boat through the tight spot, and Fortiva manages to get her raft through as well.

After a few minutes of rowing and paddling, you are about 100' off shore. The waters are crystal clear here, and you can see the bottom is about 40' down, and there are some crystal shards below.

Suddenly, there is a disturbance in the water as a large aquatic creature resembling a huge shrimp or lobster pokes its head out of the water! Another one can also be seen a ways further out in the bay!

Once he has his answer, he will row the boat toward the upper left at full speed, while looking at his shortbow, wondering how fast the creature is and when he could try to take a shot at it.

I guess that before drawing a weapon, the oars needs to be put on the boat with an action? (dropping them would mean they go into the water is what I’m thinking)

As Tanaka rows, he (and the others in his boat) hear a horrible scraping sound against the bottom of the boat, as he hits a couple of clear crystal outcroppings!

With the reefclaws dead, the party is able to carefully navigate the cove and drop off the refugees safely. They then take care on the way back.

seriously, I was looking for a good word for the damage and 'rent' just popped in there.

Crafting: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Don't think I have a hero point (spent it in the first fight), so I guess that's 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 more damage (hardness applies at least).
I'm starting to see the argument for getting Expert crafting early
