Rasil al Kelb al Segheyr |
Hmm... that sucks... 5' too far to attack... and set up to get full attacked in return.
Both of his curved blades in hand, Rasil eyes the incoming fungus cautiously. Unsure what sort of danger it represents, but not liking the look of all the waving tendrils, he takes up a more defensive posture, and prepares for it to get closer.
Move action to study the fungus, then standard to ready to attack defensively once it starts to act (which might involve a 5' step of his own into the water, if it has reach, or just a straight swing from the ledge, if it moves in a little closer)
Current AC 19
Readied attack, defensive, studied, PA: 1d20 + 8 - 4 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 4 + 1 - 1 = 15, for 1d6 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 12 damage.

Todd hopped forward, double moving to a space not too far from Rasil, taking out his rapier as he moved.
Would appreciate if someone can move Todd's token 10 feet from Rasil on the walkway.

Where to?
assuming you're looking around the room where the boats are
Rasil al Kelb al Segheyr |
GM can you mark the location of the trap on the map?
With the strange fungus taken care of, Rasil easily hops across the next channel, approaching the other exits from the left side.
Spotting the trap, he motions to the others, indicating the area where it lay. He crouches down next to it, trying to determine if it can be safely disabled, in order to access the door, or if its better to find another way in.
Hmm... thought I had disable device... but guess not! Linka it is then, unless we want to leave it alone, and go down the passage to the north.
Todd the Toad |
Todd does have Disable Device, I forgot to add it to his sheet online apparently.
Todd pulls out a few tools from his vest and gets to work on disabling the pit trap.

The grippli and the rest of the party working together is able to disable the pit trap. But they still hear talking behind the double doors.

Todd the Toad |
Todd presses his ear to the door to try and hear how many and what they're talking about. He pulls out the potion of invisibility but doesn't drink it yet.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Linka Wind |
Linka whispers to the group.
This is your chance Todd. Drink the potion and open the door. I'll toss a bomb on them as soon as I can see.
GM Qstor |

Combat over
This is the last encounter in the complex and scenario
Searching the area, the party find's Cladara's journal mentioning the planned assassination of the Venture Captain and the others as well as plans for the Ghostknife Assassins plans to overthrow the city government.
Having defeated the Ghostknives causes their cabal to collapse. Any
Ghostknives who survived the initial raid are quickly
eliminated as the Assassin’s Guild roots out the remaining
defectors. Ghostknife sympathizers within the military abandon their posts and flee the city, fearing that they will ousted from the military by Jallor Clovesh and handed over to the Assassin’s Guild once the guild identifies any officers who were promoted because of the cabal’s intervention. The flurry of desertions roils the military for a couple days, but before long Daggermark returns to its anarchic equilibrium.
Rasil al Kelb al Segheyr |
Rasil looks around suspiciously... the quill-like hair on his head quivering slightly.
"That was all of them?" He growls, not quite believing it. "Hardly seems a group capable of any of what they had planned."
He prods the downed enemy with his booted foot, to see if any are still alive for later questioning... though not particularly concerned if they are not.
Rasil al Kelb al Segheyr |
When they find out later, that the powers that be are hoping to convince the gnome, Timinic, to take over the Lodge here in Daggermark, he seeks the man out.
A gnome in such a position would probably garner all sorts of useful contacts and trade opportunities... something the Exchange would be very interested in.
Faction card stuff for Rasil...
One of those items being to recruit an NPC merchant, smuggler, trader, or similar figure.
Seeing the boon on the chronicle seems to indicate Timinic will be falling in that category... So perhaps this will work as a means to getting to that boon, IC =)
If so:
Profession (merchant) vs DC 18: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Jastrokan Tangletop |
Thank you for a fun game!
