Orla sighs in relief, then notices the grey colour of her two companions. She produces a vial of blue liquid.

”I’ve got an antidote for someone,” she smiles, offering the vial to her envenomed colleagues.

Gabros is worse off, both hp and Fort save-wise. Who wants it?

Poison: 1d8 ⇒ 3

”Bert, I beg your forgiveness and hope you do not think less of me, but do you mind if I make use of Orlas antidote?”

Officer Elrekah storms in after Hammick and eyes the scene before her.

A soaked human and dwarf sitting on the ground and covered in painful welts, their faces ashen. The dwarf looks lightly singed even though he's wet. There's goblin sitting on the floor, a Desnan cleric with wet hands and an odd, tailed goblin playing some sort of weird instrument. On the floor there are several pointy stars, a dagger and shards of glass.

She takes it all in.

"What is the meaning of this!? Explain yourselves!"

Envoy's Alliance

"Lora" | NG female halfling (twilight halfling) Cleric of Desna level 3| HP 33/33| AC 17| F +8 R +7 W +11| Perc +9 (+11 for hidden foes and secret doors) | Stealth +7| Hero Points: 1 (+1 communal) speed 25 | focus 1/1 | spells cantrip 5/5; 1st 4/4; 2nd 3/3; heal 4/4 | Active Conditions: prone

"Officer Elrekah," Orla explains, nodding at Gabros and Bert, "my friends here have been poisoned by centipedes that were inside that pit trap. I need to make good and certain that they don't die; I've got an antidote here ---" she dangles the potion for them to see --- "and I'm going to give this to my friend Gabros here."

She continues after handing the potion to Gabros.

"We attempted to talk the person who referred to himself as 'Doctor Kline' to come with us, but he rudely refused. What's more, he proved himself to be a charlatan by not demonstrating common Pathfinder knowledge. He then attacked me and tried to run away - he didn't even help my friends as they were being set upon by them centipedes!" She catches Hammick's eye. "I understand that he fell and struck his head as he was trying to cowardly flee. He's still alive, but I wouldn't believe the time of day coming out of his mouth even if he was reading a sundial."

"There's some vats and pots of ancient embalming stuff in here - some of them are still noxious, so watch what you and your fellow officers touch. Once my colleagues are stable, we can collect the sham-artist and accompany y'all back to Sothis."

Diplomacy? Bluff? I'll roll a straight-up Charisma roll.

Charisma Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 That's what Hero Points are for, right?
Reroll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 That's the total for a Diplomacy check. Add 3 for Bluff.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Officer Elrekah has heard a lot of outlandish lies in her line of work and she's pretty sure the halfling is not saying the whole truth.

"See to your friends. I'm going to see to the doctor."

About 40 minutes later, "Doctor" Kline comes to. While he originally denies any accusation of any wrongdoing one glance of Orla and Hammick entering the room has him singing a different tune.

"Don't hurt me! My name is Nefaram Subeli. I-I'm a clerk at the permit office. I... I wanted the treasures, all right? I'm just tired. Why can't I have riches, too?"

As Subeli's confession continues, the guards are relieved, but officer Elrekah still insists on returning to Sothis. When the evening comes, the ten of you make your way back to civilization, another four day trip through the desert that you'd rather forget. A runner is brought to the Sandswept Halls and when Venture-Captain hears about the imposter, he is worried as well.

For now, though, you have earned a rest in the gardens of the Sandswept Halls... at least until your next adventure!

"Thus ends this chapter of the Pathfinder chronicles regarding the Sanctum of Akmajet as recorded by Aygrim Bossell on Wealday 14 Gozran 4720."

(Quest over!)

Do I need to keep rolling saves or are we hand waving it?

Hand waving it. I forgot this was a quest and not a scenario
