I'm keen for us all to try to post regularly (aim for once or more per weekday and, at least once on weekends). Whilst adventures can be caught in 'conversation loops' back and forth, I will endeavour to keep things kicking along and get the gist of where a conversation is going and keep us pointed in the right direction.
Work, study, and wild parties in Mexico have a way of getting in the way sometimes and if that is likely please leave a post in advance if you know that you may have limited time/ability to post for a period of time (and when we can expect you back). I am deployed to the recovery effort of the recent Australian bushfires (which turned into floods) so from time to time may experience the odd delay as I move out of comms range.
On that note, I am posting from Sydney, Australia. Most of you will be posting when I am asleep so when I get up around 0500 odd I usually do the catch up over a coffee, and then usually in the afternoon/evening each day.
I will generally roll Initiative (and any other rolls if really required), but not to shaft anyone or railroad them, more in the interest of giving you some sort of outcome to then respond to - I aim to complete a single round of combat within 24 hours.
When in combat, unless a PC has left botting instructions or made arrangement for another player to bot them, I will place any PC that has not posted within the past 24 hours (48 hours on a weekend) on delay.
If a single skill check has been called for, I will accept the PC with the highest skill bonus as the "primary" and all other attempts by PCs for the same check as aiding another.

I'm kind of new to this starship combat thing and having a little trouble following it. Are we tracking damage somewhere?
I think my next action would be to balance the shields, but I'm not sure where they stand or if Seven's attempt to Divert worked. If we've got any front shields and they're behind us anyway, maybe I should try to target their weapons instead?
Damage comes off our shields first. That attack hit our forward shields, which the Drake has 15, so our hull is still okay. We want to get the shields back before we get hit in that same quadrant again.
If they’re behind us, targeting their weapons is fine. We have four missiles left in the turret before we have to start facing them with the forward Coilgun.
Hiya, yep we're locking down the State and things are all getting very exciting in Australia. I'll be fairly busy again, but we only just packed the guys up from the Bushfire response so it was easy to just haul back all our gear that hadn't been put away yet.
Anyhow, I guess the whole world is in it together so you guys stay safe too!
One of our main conventions for the year just had to fold and I was tipped off that a bunch of our Roleplaying brothers and sisters out there were having a real struggle with anxiety issues from the isolation, and a bunch of people who were immune-compromised and staying at home were doing it tough, so being a good VC I called in my fearless Venture Crew on Sat night (and the Organisers, the Sydney Role Playing Gamers Assoc) and informed my guys that surrender is a dirty word and to get the con back online as a VTT/PBP event. I'm gripping up the D&D AL as well so we can cast the widest possible net, and doing familiarisation sessions for people who haven't tried it before. No one gets left behind (unless they want to, and that's ok - opting out is miles better than having nothing to opt-out of. Boost Morale +2)
Anyhow EyeCon became iEyeCon.
Juggling a virtual-con and disaster relief - keeping myself busy :)
