Cough (still present), fever (passed) and loss of sense of smell (now regained). I had thought that last one no more than an internet myth, but I can confirm the truth of it by experience.
Radegund, The Magpie |
Tolkienverse question: in universe, is there much "thank the Gods" or praying to deities for aid? I feel like there isn't, but some of yall have *much* deeper lore than I do.
Okay, so:
1) Questions for Beran -- keeping in mind that he's still convalescing, and also a guest in your house; or,
2) Backfilling / other; or,
3) Move on to the Fellowship phase?
I think there's definitely more to do with 1.
Re 2, do you think we'll mostly use Rhosgobel as a thin backdrop for the important stuff that happens away from here? Or do you want to develop it? I'll follow your lead, but my vote is to develop it some, and flesh out a few key NPCs (maybe family members of Radegunds, maybe town elders). If we're going to, now seems like the time (probably starting with interacting with folks about our odd arrival).

Sorry for the delays in getting my character together. I was considering going with Oathsworn for a background but didn't feel I had enough knowledge to make that work and didn't want to delay things more. I need to play around with the layout of my alias but please look over my character and let me know if I need to make any changes or have missed anything.

There's nothing like that as far as I know... anyone?

No, we can expand Rhosgobel a bit. Hold that thought.

Pausing here to welcome Hartguard. Background and character setup look OK to me. (Are you the only Doomed to Die PC now?)
Now, Radagast seems to be still missing, so the consensus (?) seems to be to go talk to the local leadership. Yes?

Hi all
Due to ongoing work (I had 2/3 of my team reassigned to other matters last week), I don't now have time to post regularly here. I'm going to keep running the games where I'm DM but I think I need to drop the games I'm playing in: it isn't fair to you guys (especially the DM) to have to keep waiting on me.
I'm sorry to do this, but I don't see how it works otherwise.

@Hartguard: Welcome!
@Finraeth: Take care.
Hartguard the Hammer |
@DM_DM - Veig also had Doomed to Die for his background.
@ Radegund - I see I forgot to add my virtue to my sheet. I updated it. I took the Staunching Song of the Woodman since I thought some healing would be useful.
@Finraeth - Sorry to see you go. Schedules are challenging with the current events. I know I've found myself with less free time overall.

Welcome Hartguard! Farwell, Finraeth.
Question for GM: Are we playing with the Eye of Mordor optional rules for The Hunt and The Veil?

Oh, and I had something particularly interesting in mind for your character. Ah, well.
Finraeth |
Sorry! I feel bad leaving, and especially bad complaining about my workload when so many people have been so suddenly left unemployed.
As it happens I have some time this weekend to do some serious posting; but I don't know when I will get the opportunity once Monday hits me.

Well, we're down to four PCs -- the two Woodmen, the dwarf and the halfling. But the game has slowed down quite a bit in the last month. So rather than recruit someone else, maybe let's move on.
I'm not seeing a huge amount of interest in the Fellowship Phase -- it seems like nobody has a strong idea of something they want to do beyond 'talk to Radagast'. True? So, maybe move on to the next thing?
Veig Fairmane |
Veig is game to Patrol the Wild.
Radegund, The Magpie |
I'm happy to do the Fellowship phase, but thought we'd RP the following first.
Quote:do you think we'll mostly use Rhosgobel as a thin backdrop for the important stuff that happens away from here? Or do you want to develop it? If you want to skip it, let us know. Otherwise, I thought I was waiting for you to get a break in your life.
I also figured we'd play out the current day: taking Beran to meet the elders, seeing what they have to say.
What I do in the Fellowship phase might depend somewhat on what happens in town (if we're going to play any of it out; if we're not, that's fine too...just let us know).
As far as players...I don't mind four, but I think we could really use a Scholar or a Warden in the group (and perhaps someone who's got more than +0 to Persuasion). If you're looking for folks to bring in, let us know. I know some good players who might be interested (if you want me to ask). Others likely do too.
Faem |
Faem has little interest in joining the Woodmen in Fellowship for any length of time, beyond exploration of Rhosgobel. She wants very much to meet the Wizard, though that may be beyond her power to influence. Instead, she intends to further travel eastern Mirkwood, and perhaps even see what lies beyond, to see the sun rise from the earth, if such a place exists.
Veig Fairmane |
I'd also like to know the answer to that question.
Veig Fairmane |
I currently have an earache so my response time might be affected.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Given the current pace, I bet you'll be able to keep up! :0)
In seriousness, DM, how're you doing? If you need more time, I'm chill. If this no longer makes sense for you, I'll understand that too.
Radegund, The Magpie |
Given no word from DM in nearly a month, it seems likely that it's over. No hard feelings on my end, I know COVID's done a doozy to many of us.
If any of yall are in a ME 5e game that could use a player at any point, I'd love to know. It really does seem like a fun system.
Meanwhile, I hope all yall are doing well!
Veig Fairmane |
Yeah it looks that way. It happens.
I'm in both Faem and Finraeth's ME 5e campaigns. They would be better placed to say.

I'll add you to my mental list for when we need another player.
