Looks good. You have control of Woolf. I have the avatars from the forum already assigned but if you want to change it there should be an edit button at the top of the window when you click your journal entry.

If you are using the roll20 sheet you should also remember to give yourself 2 misc skill ranks for background skills. If you are using any of the background exclusive skills like artistry or lore for thoses press the + under the skill list type that into the provided space.

I believe I've already completed the roll20 sheet correctly.

Also, have you thought about the Combat Stamina rules and the possible free Ironhide feat for Sgrack?

If you are against any of these, no worries, but I thought it would be nice to confirm them before they are relevant.


I want to see how the first few combats go but yes I have considered. The combat stamina rules seem like a nice way to keep a pure martial able to keep up at higher levels when magic become more powerful.


@Sron your Knowledge engineering should be 2 higher. The trait bonus from local ties increases to +3 if you have the technologist feat. Edit you are also short a skill as you have slight of hand listed twice. You should by my count have 7 skill ranks 4[class]+1[int]+2[background]=7

Further you should either have an extra skill point or hir point from favored class.

Can I use the extra skill point for a background skill?


Hmmm, normally with the background skill system only the 2 ranks you get at each level are for background skills. However I don't really see it as a problem if you use normal ranks for background skills as it means less ranks for adventuring skills so go for it.

I finished moving. That shadow fog-of-war thing is pretty cool. I've never seen it before.


I love the dynamic lighting and fog of war. In the future when I have the space and spare money I want to build a 'gaming' table with a screen set into it and have roll20 or fantasy grounds displayed on the screen to display all maps. I love mini and terrain but digital is so much easier and cheaper. All the maps we will be using I just ripped out of the pdfs and than scaled them to the grid. All the enemy tokens I do the same rip the image out of the ap pdf or bestiary pdf and use a free token tool to give them a nice border and import them on to roll 20.

I normally try and give some bot directions when combat is on, as I often find the peak time for North America/Europe coincides with me being asleep, and I normally wake up to half a days posting, then jump in from there.

From my understanding of that module, they've already had some luck if they made it to the end lol.

Thankyou for moving Irizzle as fast as his stubby little legs can go. This initial encounter is making a compelling agument for Expeditious Retreat :)


There were 2 deaths before they got to this point and Inhave pulled a lot of punches and ignorednactions or abilities on mobs as to not murder them. It is a brutal module.

Managed to get on and have a look this afternoon, but my connection is spotty at best, so I can’t currently see where Sgrack or the robot are. On my turn, if I’m able to shoot it through a window from 10” away I will. He will only attack in that ranged band so as to attack Touch AC, and would use Alchemical Ordnance. Will make a roll below for it, as I’ll be heading back to the tennis soon.

Otherwise Irizzle will try and move to a different position. Irizzle thinks its unlikely the robot has friends, so would happily go for a double move to try and get in a better position if that is the case.

Shoot it!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 82d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8

Now I super apologize to Sgrack and the party for misreading the rolls and wasting a bunch of posts. Either way hopefully no hard feelings on that.

Quick tip for everyone on roll 20. IF you hold shift and double click on a token it will open their bio and character sheet. Obviously it will only show the character sheets for tokens you have control over but for npc's and monsters it will show their avatar and any public bio or info I have put on them.

I am having a fair amount of trouble with Roll20, as the iPad app doesn’t seem to work too well, so I only get decent access on my computer at home, as the work computers I can get on there, but suspect some functionality is blocked.


Yah roll 20 uses lots of scripts and the like so I am sure a lot of work computers on private networks have issues with it. I will do my best to describe things that way you can get an idea without it and I can move as per your instructions as needed.

Trying something different for Sgrack, where he will try to figure out what is being said according to words he might know. You are all free to check his 'mind spoiler', since I only kept it in a spoiler in order to not make a big post.

I'm not sure I will have time to this all the time, but I'll try and see how it works!

Judging solely from backstory, I would actually nominate Sron as leader, with Keth as secondary.

Irizzle doesn't have the common sense, Meila is on another planet, Sgrack isn't smart enough, Woolf is too cute to be taken seriously.

My take on a leader is that they look at what the rest of the group thinks, and make a judgement call. They know what everyone can contribute, and bring the right person to the forefront for the job. They herd the damn cats and push us in the right direction.

I've still got some kinks to deal with regarding Meila. I'm struggling to balance being a total awkward air head, appreciating and being in the moment, and being a social butterfly.


I agree that Sron and Keth are both good candidates . Sron can make decisions without emotions getting in the way. Keth on the other hand would be better when Morals matter more than Ethics because despite his distrust and even hatred of some races he cares about the a functioning balanced world, maybe more in favor of nature but still closer to a good outlook I think. You could also just function like one of the parties I have played with before where the party tried to discuss and come to logical solutions and the bomber alchemist got bored and decided with her gut and bombs XD

I'm fine either way. Sron isn't quite emotionless but I'm playing him as less 'emotive' and not so good at interpreting other people's feelings.

Also, Sron and Meth could always share leadership. That would make for a cool dynamic.

Sorry about no posts for two days. Spent all friday playing MTG at a friends house and than we tried the Starfinder beginner box(was fun) and than got invited to play in a new game at a different friends house. Playing a bard beside my finance who is playing an Alchemist who throws bombs first and asks questions later. Me casting grease, the Sorc casting color spray on the now prone bads and than a bomb from the fiance meant the bads had a bad bad day.

Is the group as a whole ok with the pace things are going or do you want me to try and push it along a bit? I am enjoying the RP but you guys are effectively in the pre-stages of part 1 of the book.

I am fine with this pace as it allows me to read and post basically as an easy daily habit and reading the RP helps me unwind a bit too :). But if we want to get into more of the nitty gritty I am cool with that too and can use what you have already stated as inference to give you a bigger info dump and than give you some time to react instead of playing every minute detail.

I’m enjoying it, so I’m happy with it. I also like to try and craft my posts a bit - still sad I missed a chance for Irizzle to say corollary in his latest ranting.

I'm making a few changes to Meila's speech. The uhms and stuttering were a pain to read and write. Plus, she needs to have a little bit of face capability. I still plan to rely mostly on her charisma, but her VMC bard abilities will eventually kick in to give a boost. I don't think I've got any room available for face-spells.
