Depending on what the setup is for this scenario and if we have time, Nella will probably do a bit of shopping. I'll try and get that list posted later today/this evening.

This is what I think we have for levels:
Garduk 6
Tarragon 7
Brady 5
Kanubis 9
Nella 8
Kulga 7
That puts us at an APL of 7 exactly. Since that is between the subtiers, we have to play the upper tier with the 4 player adjustment. Is everyone good with that?
Tarragon The Golden |
Tarragon has leveled to 8 so we play up anyway. Leveling him now.

Hey all. Ended up in the ER today for a few hours. Really stupid. I cut my finger with an Exacto knife which by itself isn't that big of a deal. But then for some reason, as my wife was washing out the cut, I passed out, came back to, then passed out again, then my wife said I started twitching like I was going to have a seizure (one of my sons has epilepsy so we're a bit sensitive to that) so she called 911.
The medics got there and everything seemed fine except my BP was 80-something over 50 and my HR was 52 BPM. They said that was too low and it wasn't coming up fast enough so they packed me up in the ambulance and trucked me off to the hospital.
Eventually everything turned out just fine but I lost several hours...
I'll have to get the game started tomorrow.

Yikes! Sorry you had such a hair-raising experience right before Christmas! Rest up and don't worry about the game; we'll be here whenever you're ready and able to get us rolling.

Kirill, I work with people from Ukraine and have visited L'viv several times. I don't know if you wrote Cyrillic characters because you know a language that uses them or just for fun but either way you might like this little story that happened to me.
I know very little Ukrainian (or Russian) but I find it fun to map the Cyrillic characters to their pronunciation since it often means that I know the word. For example CTOΠ -- C makes an "S" sound and Π makes a "p" sound so you have "stop".
After a couple of days of being in L'viv, on my first trip, I was really getting into the habit of pronouncing the words I saw as we drove around town. I kept seeing large letters on buildings ΡΕCTOPAH. Suddenly it came to me and I turned to my Urainian host. "Hey, I figured out the Ukrainian word for "restaurant". It's peck-tow-paw!" He looked at me, totally confused so I explained to him "PEC" = peck, "TO" = tow, "PAH" = paw. He burst out laughing because, you see, P is actually "r", C is actually "s" and "H" is actually "n". So PECTOPAH is really "RESTORAN" and that's the actual Ukrainian word for "restaurant". So now it's a running joke when I visit my coworkers there. We always talk about going to the peck-tow-pah for lunch/dinner, etc.
Ok. All that being said, Kirill, have you played part 1 before? If so, did you earn the Qalkami's Disdain boon?

Kanubis |
MindXing, happy to read it! Actually I haven't been to Kiev, but would like to. Our languages within one Slavic group, so similar in many ways, but I personally fine Ukranian pronunciation more funny and cute.
Yes, I've playd first part - here is
Chronicle and Qalkami loved our group.
Kanubis also has 2 tasks to deal.
First is related to #6-17 Fires of Karamos. His got Outstanding Bounty boon and gonna spend it during this session.
Second task is not a task actually. But do you know story of shaitan named Reyshal from #7-13 Captive in Crystal ? So Kanubis gonna borrow some info, narratively.

No rush on this GM but when you get a chance would you care to mark the Part 1 game inactive? Thanks! :)
GM MindXing |
Nella, I'll try to do that soon.
Still waiting for Garduk and Tarragon in gameplay. Also, still need character info for Garduk.

It's New Year's Eve (well, the morning of)! 2019 has been a very good year and I hope it's been equally as good to all of you.
Do I have any resolutions?
Well... ;)
May we all get even cooler in 2020 :)

Hey folks, had to take my husband to the ER tonight and they wanted him to stay a day or so for observation. Things are fine but if my posting is spotty for the next day or so that'll be why.
Brady Torquatus |
Hey, sorry I didn't announce this in advance; I've been out of town since New Year's Eve and haven't had access to post. I'm catching up now!

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys! DH got to come home Monday evening and was good to go back to work yesterday :)
Brady Torquatus |
I leave tomorrow for a weekend trip to NYC. I'll be out of contact from early Friday through late Monday, EST; please bot Brady if necessary.
Penelope 'Nella' Tabor |
Still here, just at a bit of a loss on how to proceed given the current situation. I'll try and get something posted in Gameplay before the day is out, though.
Garduk the Unteachable |
GM, I can't move Garduk's token on the map - I only have "View" access to the Slides presentation. Can you give us editor access?
Garduk the Unteachable |
Yes, works fine now. Thanks.
Tarragon The Golden |
Hey, I am here. I am moving to a new house and have not yet got the Xfinity weasels to install internet there yet. Long and unhappy story. Soon.

Good luck getting it sorted, Tarragon.
Kulga Gruenakslag |
Before Kulga staves in Hsalkar's skull I want to double check - is there a reason to keep her alive that I missed? Aside from killing being wrong?
Kanubis |
I got no idea. But if we want to lessen our trail - we should deffinitely leave alive and unbroken as much, as we could, (being destructive Pathfinders)
Penelope 'Nella' Tabor |
I do agree that in the long run it'd probably leave a better 'aftermath' if we don't kill anyone that we absolutely don't have to. Once the evidence we're supposed to leave comes to light the powers that be around here will hopefully be way more focused on it than on the band of uh, thugs/agents/whatever from the Material that caused a ruckus.
*fingers crossed*
That said, Hsalkar is a participant in slavery (albeit slavery seems to be legal here) so that may or may not muddy the waters further for those in the party that feel especially strongly about that.
Tarragon The Golden |
If some of Kanubis' damage is non-lethal it should not be a problem to leave the enemy alive. Now her slaves may decide otherwise.
Brady Torquatus |
Brady doesn't care about killing Halskar, especially if that convinces the azers to back off and run away.
Brady Torquatus |
Yup, it's easiest for me to post from work (I know... I know...); I don't get much posting done from home; not much opportunity to sit quietly in front of a computer there.
Brady Torquatus |
I hate posting from my iPhone and only due when I absolutely must.
I couldn't agree more. If they would make a mobile site that--for example--included buttons to assign formatting tags, this would be entirely different, but flipping back and forth between keyboards, one character at a time, to compose posts with formatting tags is uncomfortable enough that--frankly--I'm just not interested in doing it.
Brady Torquatus |
This is controller and merchant style - to gather goods and hostages for better negotiation position. So I think Kanubis will take the salamander if there is no safe place nearby.
Moving this to the discussion tab; since it wasn't an in-character reply, it's more appropriate here.
So, are you saying that it's Kanubis' intent to drag a bound, gagged, and unconscious salamander through the streets while we attempt to break into the Cinderfury Estate? A salamander is a medium-sized creature....
Penelope 'Nella' Tabor |
^Brady has a good point. I posted Nella's questions in-character because she was genuinely curious to hear if Kanubis had something particular in mind regarding the salamander. But speaking out of character, it's going to be pretty difficult to smuggle an unconscious body into a location that we're trying to break into ourselves.
I do appreciate the creativeness involved with wanting to potentially use the salamander as a hostage or bargaining chip if we get cornered and need a way out, but given what we know about efreets I'm not sure that they'd really care that much about the fate of one single employee.
Kulga Gruenakslag |
It's an off-site security location is my understanding, but it's also a city with legalized slavery, so if we put manacles on her, then that answers a lot of questions from random passers-by. Anyone who recognizes her though... ::shrug::
