Well, if the equipment survived it wouldn't go to waste. Bauble, in true goblin fashion, will wear almost anything. And he's not very sensitive either and would probably suggest it.

I'm hoping at some point we will run into a stone to flesh thing. Typically these scenarios have the antidote for the things they put in it if they are particularly nasty long term effects.

I have. My inquisitor was stoned by a Medusa and they had a scroll handy but none of the PCs were able to use it until the scenario was almost over. Bad ST and bad UMD rolls. Evidently she was fated to be stoned.

Is there room to get around the retriever, provided it cannot see bauble?
And correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the info we picked up would suggest that they (or that wormy fellow for that matter I suppose) can see or smell invisible creatures, right?

The beetles mouth is 20' up and the retriever fills its throat. You are not aware that worms that walk can see invisible things.

How much smaller do you have to be than an opponent to be able to walk under an opponent? Bauble can see past the beetle to the other side so there must be at least some opening, right? My plan is to cast vanish defensively and slip by it to the scythe, but if that is not possible I'd rather not post it just to have to repost.

You can move freely through the space of a creature 3 size categories larger/smaller than you. The retriever is huge so it works if you are small.

Is there a difference between the huge and medium sized retrievers on the map? Are the 'small' ones flying or invis or something or can we see and target them?

I'd like to try to get Bauble to the other side of the locust. What would the mechanics of that be considering the locust cannot see him? There looks to be room on the sides but there are teeth in the way. Perhaps an acrobatics roll or a climbing roll? And maybe a stealth roll to see if he can do it undetected?

Oh, and I updated map - summoning two of the tigers to strike the north bug (claws/bite but no pounce). The other two on green just to provoke. Ignore the third set of attacks. Not ideal, but didn't want to undo too much.

@Bauble it would be acrobatics to get through its square. It cannot see you so it would be against flat footed CMD.

Bauble wants to snag the scythe and DDoor out of there, but I suspect it is not going to be as easy as all that. What kind of rolls does he need to make? If it is going to require a strength check, then it will be near impossible. Does he need to climb in order to reach the scythe?

Very, it took about an hour and a half to get to your current position through the twisting, horrific canyons of the abyss. That also assumes the dismissal drops you just outside at the portal, that isn't guaranteed, especially as dismissal has a 20% chance to send you to the wrong plane.

Fendahl could and would try it - not sure why others could not use it (non-proficient?).

Although I do not think he can see Bauble (invis?). He was going to try to move to the edge of the cloud and heal Vlad and a few before chasing the retrievers. Escaping them is not going to be easy flying.

Yes, it will be up to Bauble to deliver the scythe. I should have checked to see who could use it before I teleported him, but then again this IS Bauble and it is more likely he would teleport to the top of a rock to do his dance that it would be that he would do something sensible.

I wouldn't be of much use wielding the scythe, sadly. Still, I figured unless it was very, very strong, we could stick to our usual tactics and bring it as a finishing weapon when Koth'Vaul is weak.

I'm kinda hoping it will do a number on the retrievers or other demons too. Do you think it is not worth trying to use it in the current battle and Bauble should just tuck it away for now?

agreed. If we can recover Kirrah, even better. But if everyone wants to leave immediately, Fendahl is willing to accept the sacrifice of the lioness as a last resort.

You are on the edge of the fog cloud so no, you do have regular concealment. The fog cloud is the white shape. Fog cloud only providee total concealment if there is a fog square between you and the enemy.

The link doesnt really affect this, the rules only really deal with trying to find people to cast touch attack spells on them. I am happy to allow you to cast a spell on him if he is in contact and provided it has a touch range. You couldnt use a spell which required targetting as you could not see him.

Fendahl has hosteling armor and could absorb her but can only do so if she is not stone (I would suspect).
Otherwise, we may just have to come back or leave her here as a statue.

A bag of holding would be way too small. Unless she shrinks or you have a portable hole.
