Nissa smirks at the panicky eye.
Culture (Cartoon Unit): 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 1 + (6) = 23
Recalling a certain 20th-Century gun-toting toon who happens to be about Nissa’s full height, Nissa aims both guns at the ground and says, “Time for my Yosemite Sam impersonation!”
She blasts downward!
Shoot!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 211d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Holy/Fire: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5
Good Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 5) + 3 = 9
If life were a cartoon, this would rocket-propel Nissa. But all her guns do is shoot the floor. This hopefully hurts the black panicky eyeball thing!
She can’t actually talk like Yosemite Sam, so as she fires the first shot she says the first cowboyish thing that pops in her head: “Yippie ki-yay, muh… wait a minute. That might be a ninety’s movie. I can’t quote it without disrupting the space-time continuum.”
She fires the second shot. “Hasta la… nope.”
| Tarren the Dungeon Master |
Charles slashes and egg with his blade, but the goo that drips off of the blade gathers in orbs and begins to form more eggs.
Zellgato's debuffs slow the growth of the eggs he hits.
When Nissa shoots the floor, the black pupil gets smaller and flits away, trying to avoid taking the blast directly.
"Yosemite Sam? I know that one!" says Greer, pointing his rifle at the floor for his next attack.
The eggs nearest Nissa's blasts shrink away while the eggs furthest from Nissa's blast grow more.

As for how they're growing so fast, Zellgato finds that each egg is connected to the tower itself is by hundreds of thin capillaries. The tower is pumping the eggs full of the substances these things need to grow.
A good part of whatever makes these creatures tick is magical though, not biological, so not really Zellgato's wheelhouse.

"Hey, you know what we should call that thing, Kai?" shouts Greer over the sounds of blasting. "The Egg Scrambler!"

Making all the right wire connections while giant demonic eggs are popping up everywhere is a little challenging, but kai appreciates the heroic efforts of everyone trying to stave off the undoubtedly horrible creatures that would emerge from those eggs. That said, when the giant baby bird emerges, Kai drops the tool used to put the final touches on the imploding device.
"Uh, I'll need more time, very sorry! Can't rush this, or we all implode."

"I don't think you've got anymore time," shouts Alt-Greer. He points to the egg embedded in the wall of the Tower. It's beginning to split open. A demon begins to emerge, tearing the sides of the egg open with its long talons. It looks similar to the vulture-like one you fought on the roadside yesterday, but it has a purple hue and it's larger.

The demon screeches angrily at Alt-Greer and pushes his head free of the egg.

"Then go! This needs just a little more... ngh." Kai is evidently stressed as the imploding device is taking its sweet time arming itself.
Round 7: 1d6 ⇒ 5
| Tarren the Dungeon Master |
Zellgato definitely gets a shot at Void from his readied action, because Void does come rushing out. Z's shot hits. I don't see anything that reads as an immunity to biohacks, so the demon is slowed and takes a penalty to hit.
Charles attacks with his sword as the vrock steps fully out of the egg and starts to run towards the center of the room. The demon bats the sword aside with one of his massive talons and attempts to run past Charles. Charles has an attack of opportunity now
Nissa passes through the demon subatomically and, for a moment, sees what chaos looks like at a subatomic level. It's not pretty. She blasts the demon as he runs, causing him to stumble.
Void isn't heading towards Kai, but, rather, Alt-Greer. Running towards Kai would be smarter, but the demon seems singularly focused on reaching Greer. Void's pretty clear about his intentions. "Kill the Greer," shrieks the big purple vrock.
Theo swings with the Angel sword and hits. It cuts the demon deeply, but it doesn't stop the thing from focusing on Greer.
It's only because of Z's injection that the demon doesn't reach Greer before the end of the round. Next round though, Alt-Greer is going to receive the full wrath of a creature born of wrath. The game now becomes, 'keep Greer alive.'
Greer tries to fire the sonic weapon at the creature, but he doesn't get it up in time. He blasts the floor accidentally this time.

They just have to play keep-away from an overpowered demon for a few more seconds, and then somehow get out of here before setting off the device...
...yeah, they can make it.
He keeps telling himself that as he moves up behind the big demon and hacks at it again with the Sword of Truth.

Toxicology Booster: Any living creature attacking Boosted w/ natural attack takes -2 penalty to attack. It is a poison effect. If attacker has active environmental protections, penalty only applies after attack has hit and damaged target once.

Nissa rushed between the demon and Greer, so I'll give the demon an AoO. The demon is about to brush past Nissa, so Nissa will get to make an AoO in turn. Void hit Nissa for 30 points of damage.
The Tower, begins to shift and change, messing with the party's ability to hit the demon. Void is mostly ignoring them, so singular in its rage towards Alt-Greer. The room, however, shifts in size, stretches into an oblong shape, which, then, spins. The exit shifts and multiplies. There is one exit and then there are 12 exits and then there are no exits. The red glow that comes from the floor flickers like a strobe light. All of this messes with Theo's and Charles' aim as they attack Void.
Nissa manages to hit the demon, but it barely notices.
It's only Zellgato's trick with the fire extinguisher that buys Greer some breathing room. He drops his boom-cannon and runs towards the door. The door shifts and moves and Alt-Greer finds he's rushing straight into a wall. The demon pounces, brushing past Nissa.
Nissa gets an AoO. Void only gets one attack since Greer made a full retreat. Greer is attempting a full retreat and does not get an attack.
Void attacks Alt-Greer once with the same talon that slashed Nissa a few seconds ago.
attack; damage: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (19) + 22 = 412d10 + 15 ⇒ (4, 2) + 15 = 21
Despite the demon's rage, its attack is precise. The talon slices both of Greer's Achille's tendons with one slice. Greer stumbles into the wall where the door appeared to be a second ago.
Now, Zellgato, Greer looks 'near death'. One more attack like this and Alt-Greer could go the way of Greer.

Charles has never quite been sure what happens with his equipment when he transforms. Anyone who made a melee attack on it this round or is otherwise adjacent to it when Charles struck (this includes Alt-Greer) begins taking damage. 1d8 points of damage this round and then 1d4 points of damage per round for 10 subsequent rounds. Who was adjacent to the creature when Charles struck the fatal blow? Theo was. Charles was. Greer was. Anyone else?
The demon, Void, doesn't so much die as get reabsorbed into the Tower. The last thing he says is, "Want. Eat. The Greer." He says this in a tone that sounds a little sad, like this whole thing has been a misunderstanding and it isn't sure why you're making such a big deal out of his desire to eat Alt-Greer's soul.
Void is gone. For now. The eggs in the Tower begin to grow again like a half-dozen cysts on this strange red eyeball.
"Egg sssscrambler," hisses Alt-Greer-turned-lizard-creature. He pulls himself up and rushes towards the exit. The cloud of spores that landed on him when Void exploded begin to grow into long dark twisting tendrils.
And, before I tell you what happens next, I think we need an answer to the 'detonator or timer' question.
