Coughing blood Celister flies into a fury as he chops at the large tree hitting it once with is sharp falchion taking another chunk out of its trunk.
Xanthos throws magic fires at the tree, but it passes right through its limbs without hitting.
Karando swings his newly enchanted sword hitting the flat-footed tree hard in the trunk. He touches Celister sending healing energy into his ally and is ready to guilt the large tree again.
Sylvia moves around the large tree for a flank attack, unfortunately, the tree lashes out with its reach longsword to strike her, but pulls back at the last moment as it feels guilty from pass deeds under the glare of Karando. Sylvia touches the large tree sending a jot of electricity into its trunk.
Hamarel continues to hammer his fist into the tree only the first one does any real damage even though the tree is somewhat resistant to the blunt force of his fist.
Covered in sticky sap Fumbus chunks an alchemist’s fires at the pine tree hitting it solidly causing it to burst into flames and crash to the ground dead in a pile of burning wood that warms Fumbus’s hart. The second firebomb flies past the large tree missing it entirely even with the splash.
The Arboreal Warden lashes out at Celister hitting him hard with the stone longsword once, the second swing misses the barbarian.

Merging with the sprite leaves you with more knowledge about the forest and its Kami +2 bonus to lore checks and checks to recall knowledge. Unfortunately, the spirit strongly feels that humanoids are beholden to the beast of the woods and as such it imposes Weakness 2 against natural attacks.
Karando absorbs some of the spirit's personality he gains its increased agility and 5ft bonus to speed, but also a fear of the forest at the beginning of each encounter make a DC 5 flat check or be frightened 1 for first round.
(Village effects on everyone: You gain +1 bonus to attack rolls against foes with cover. But, you also feel more insular and take a -2 circumstance penalty to Charisma-based skill checks. For the rest of the scenario.)

When the fall of the Arboreal Warden, the last of the spiritual barrier keeping the kami caged inside the relic is gone. With a warm green light, the relic smoothly ejects a small humanoid figure with moss-like skin and a conical hat.
The kodama bows to your group, ” Thank you for returning me to my home. While unfortunate that the Arboreal Warden was lost, it was necessary in order for me to break free. You may keep the bonsai tree artifact and be know that you will always be welcome in this stretch of the Forest of Spirits! ”
With the Kami freed and the forest spirit once more in balance, you can lead the caravan safely along the remainder of the spirit road to Minkai. There you reunite with Anara Li and present her with the relic. She is relieved to see everyone returning safely, including Lin Po and Ti Lan.
Amara listens keenly to the tale of your exploits in the Forest of Spirit fascinated that the relic housed a traped Kami all this time.
