The skeleton that Ash hits with the fire ALMOST falls apart, but manages to remain standing for another moment.

Alak nods to Hawk appreciatively as he's healed. "Won't be forgotten, friend."

He then rushes forward (careful to avoid the holes) and attacks the skeleton that wasn't hit by fire. Double move because of having to move slowly to avoid the holes.

The last skeleton falls to pieces.

The skeleton's ancient hellknight armor may be worth some gold pieces, as well as its well-wrought halberd. Otherwise, you see nothing else of value in this area, currently.

Further down the long chamber, at the end, you see a glimpse of several sarcophagi, obviously tombs of higher-ranking hellknights than the ones below your feet.

Once you move closer to those sarcophagi:

Four monuments loom in this dark and somber room,
each with prominent carvings of black-winged angels
and various stylized pentagrams. Burnished plaques
along the floor next to each sepulcher bear the names of
those interred within, while atop the northern wall near
the ceiling the words “Sepulcher of the Nail” are carved in
prominent relief.

You also see an opening to another chamber to the south, and two different doors leading north..

He talks to Alak while Abalyn mends him "Looks like there's some Hellknight Armor there and a halberd, does that give any interest to your Order?

Alak looks the items over. "This is relatively-standard-issue armor, as well as the halberd. I don't think there would be any problem with you and your allies keeping them, if they interest you. The armor will need to be.. cleansed... I would think." He makes a face at the bits of undead flesh that cling grotesquely to the armor, as well as old and new blood splashed across it.

Abalyn sees no traps along the way. She does get a better look at the room to the South:

Narrow stone walls filled with coffin-sized compartments
stretch from the floor to the ceiling in this dark,
claustrophobic chamber. Most of the compartments are
occupied with shroud-covered bodies, though some of
them are conspicuously empty.

She also notices a curiously clean and non-decaying skull sitting on a high shelf in the room. Religion check, please.

As far as the sarcophagi to the west, Abalyn sees no traps on them either, and notices that the nameplates bear the following names: Mistress of Blades Xera Delphine, Master of Blades Renten Viselli, Paravicar Yenesta, and Paralictor Loreen Sinelle.

The skull looks as if it might be an undead creature, though you can't tell what type. It currently seems to be inactive, waiting for some sort of trigger to awaken it from its horrid slumber.

Ash, ever the quiet diplomat refraining from disturbing things pipes up, "Should we annoy it on purpose, in a violent way, then? Or more like 'and it might be friendly'? I mean - hey, mister or missus skull, wanna chat?"

Isiros grabs the hellknight armor and halberd. This might be nice for later.... He doesn't seem grossed out by the pieces of flesh that were sticking to it still. He tried getting as much of it off as he could before storing it.

He then heads over to Abalyn and Ash. "That's one way to handle it Ash....Any other thoughts on what we should do? Or what not to do for that matter?"

"These names, I recognize. Each of these people were heroes of the Order. From what I remember, each
completed an astounding deed or made an incredible sacrifice in order to earn their place here, and each was interred with the highest honors."

The skull makes no movement or sound when Ash calls to it.

Neither Hawk nor Isiros know anything about the skull. Neither was a crit-failure, surprisingly!

However, Ash looks at the skull and sees a dangerous creature (though not as dangerous as a demilich) known as a Hellcrown. He knows that the skull will be able to fly, use some sort of attack that will likely cause major bleeds, and will have a terrifying magical stare that can stop many creatures in their tracks.

That doesn't sound good at all. Better to take care of this sooner than later... Isiros approaches the Hellcrown with his new Halberd and strikes it.

As he moves forward, Isiros gets a glimpse of several more skulls on shelves within the room, but he has committed himself to attacking the first. He hits the skull just as its eyes begin to glow red and some semi-translucent armor begins coalescing around it. The skull nearly splits in two from his attack, but doesn't quite fall apart and quickly falls apart. However, before it is destroyed entirely, it stares directly into Isiros' eyes, attempting to scare him to his very core.
Isiros needs to make a Will save against Terrifying Stare.

Terrifying Stare effects:

A creature that fails is frightened 1, and on a critical failure becomes fleeing for as long as it's frightened. Any creature that attempts a save is temporarily immune for 10 minutes.

EDIT: However, Isiros resists its effects.

Once the armor actually coalesces around each of the four hellcrowns, it can be seen that they are wearing hellknight-looking helms with spikes, have many nails sticking out of them from various places and at various angles, and have ghostly spines trailing behind them.

Ash whispers what little he knows about hellcrowns to the group around the corner from the skull, then empowers Isiros's blade with Magic Weapon.

Once Isiros charges in, Ash sneaks up and hurls his own ball of flame at the skull Isiros attacked, hoping to finish it off, but expecting to actually find out how resistant to fire they are.

Ash is simply petrified of the skulls, but is still able to toss some fire at the nearest one. Unfortunately, the fire just splashes against the back wall.
Ash is Frightened 1.

Frightened condition:

You’re gripped by fear and struggle to control your nerves. The frightened condition always includes a value. You take a status penalty equal to this value to all your checks and DCs. Unless specified otherwise, at the end of each of your turns, the value of your frightened condition decreases by 1.

The blue hellcrown lets out an eerie, piercing scream as it flies clloser to Isiros. He quickly sees why it is keeping its distance, as a phantom nail is seemingly pulled by an invisible hand from the visage's flesh... complete with a phantom spurt of blood from the wound, and then the nail is hurled at him, followed quickly by a second.

Nail, 1 range increment: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
However, the undead creature seems to notice Isiros' hellknight garb at the last moment, causing it to waver in its attack on him.
Nail, 1 range increment: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Its resolve seems to solidify as it hurls the second nail at Isiros, however.

Isiros staggers for a moment, looking down at the nail embedded in his flesh. Wha....

He puts the image and pain in the back of his mind allowing his instincts to kick in; he moves towards the hellcrown and retaliates with his halberd.

The thing in the middle is a set of stone shelf-type things (think of low bookshelves, but filled with bones instead of books) and so you can see over them to attack at range. This also means the skulls can fly over them.

Isiros is able to destroy another skull. Unfortunately, the nail is still sticking into him, and feels like it's almost drilling into his flesh.

As predicted, Alak feels the urge to run into the fray.
Double-move, then attack. But let's see if he's afraid!
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Alak is not afraid of these long-dead Hellknight spirits.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 He takes a nice chunk out of the translucent armor of the Hellcrown.

That hellcrown, and then one behind it, unleash nails at him.

First hellcrown floats back 5 feet, planning to fire 2 nails. However, Isiros has reach, and can make an attack of opportunity!
Isiros halberd: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 1 + 1 = 21 damage: 2d10 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (3, 7) + 4 - 1 = 13
Just as it was about to shoot poor Alak, Isiros destroys the Hellcrown.

The second one just fires three nails at him.

Isiros turns his attention towards the final hellcrown and watches Hawk blast it with some electricity. Just one more to go.. He then moves in to strike. As he prepares his halberd he looks into the into the creature's eyes with unwavering commitment to his attack. Unfazed by the magical gaze his strike lands true and the skull shatters into dozens of pieces. As he retracts the halberd he is again reminded of the nail impaled into his flesh which causes him to noticeably wince in pain.

Abalyn notices Isiros wince and realize he must be in a lot of pain if he’s showing it. She moves up to him, pulling out tweezers and some bandages.

Using all of her skill, Abalyn pulls out the nail and puts pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding.

Abalyn gives Alak her healing potion. ”This is what I can give you.” She shrugs.

With the final skull destroyed, the group has a few moments to breathe and compose themselves. Though this room mostly consists of graves that you feel you may not want to disturb, you do notice several items that have been left here, perhaps as offerings by loved ones, and Alak suggests that these, at least, may be worthy spoils of the fight you just had with the hellcrowns.

With a bit of searching, the group turns up a wand of heal (1st level) and several rings, amulets, bracelets and other trinkets worth a combined 12 gold total.

That takes care of the ossuary, but there's still the matter of the four sarcophagi in the western room. There are two doors to the north, one from the main chamber and one from the chamber with the sarcophagi.

Maybe I've impressed Alak with that most recent battle. I did afterall, dispatch those hellcrowns handidly with his order's favored weapon. Isiros approaches Alak and asks "So how would someone go about joining the hellknights Alak?".

Even from a young age, hearing the stories of the hellknights, I have always been interested in joining if the opportunity presented itself." Isiros generally doesn't like talking about his past, or himself for that matter, but makes an exception in this case.
