Welcome everyone.

DM, I'll get everything updated over the weekend, but feel free to lead us on before that as you wish.

Thanks Morsun & Sazen!

DM: If that's ok, Quisillo will spend most of his money on a nice fiddle (Lesser Maestro Instrument, 60gp); here is his updated sheet
https://pathbuilder2e.com/launch.html?build=250338
(I think that I've got everything up to date on his forum profile too)

Thats fine by me on the fiddle.

I'm going to set ye up on the final leg of your journey so ye can RP a bit and introduce your characters before ye reach the manner and the horror- I mean investigation begins.

@Morsun apologies, but I was reading everyone's character profiles and it seems that you hit points should only be hp 40?

10(dwarf)+24(8/lvl rogue)+6(+2 Con)=40.

Ancestry hp is only added once at 1st and FCB is no longer a thing. Although, Toughness Feat is available still and really good.

No, you're right. I was still learning when I first made this PC (back in November 2019!), and I've already recognized that I made a number of mistakes.

I've re-built Morsun using Pathbuilder, but I haven't transferred the new stats over to this alias yet. To be honest, I'm still learning PF2, so I'm hoping to break down each stat on the alias (like you just did, thanks) to help me grasp it all better. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do that this weekend.

Morsun's new build is mostly the same, except I dropped anything having to do with snares, which don't seem like they'll come up often enough to warrant using them.

My home group just finished AoA last month. Our Rogue also had the Smare Feats. We really like them, but they are situational and must have some set up from group for reliability.

Smore feats? Do they give you an extra morale bonus due to the chocolate?

-----

Learning PF2 was like learning 4e for me. At first there was a lot of confusion because so many terms were the same as previous versions. But after a bit of practice it just clicked.

I haven't seen anybody use the snare feats. But I can see some ways to make them work at times. When you are defending, or when you can goad the enemy into the places you've prepared.

Sadly I don't think play by posts are the best way to learn it. I'm nearing the end (about 45% of the way through book six) of Extinction Curse using discord and foundry VTT.

For one of my players PF2e has become his favoured D&D style system. Most of the rest aren't as hard leaning into it but have a strong liking for the flexibility of character options and more recently we are all really impressed with how well it's holding up with high level play. Tonight will be the first session of them at level 20 and none of use have ever played or run an adventure that has gone from level one to twenty before.

Getting to level 20 in PF1e was tougher Actually. So far in PF2e 2 for 2...lol.

Foundry is fantastic for PF2e. We played EC on it. AoA was on Roll20.

Eh, we still use MapTool for the VTT. We use Hero Lab Online for characters for PF2.

He made a typo. We're talking about Snore feats.

They only give a morale bonus to the person who uses the feat.

Snore Snares that cause target to sleep. Or S'mores Snares that force yummy s'mores into target's mouth, causing Sickened condition.

Tough choices really.

It couldn't be Spore feats, as only fungus leshies can take them.

I don't have any feats to spare, sorry.

Hi, folks! Welcome!
Just an FYI that I'll be pushing pretty hard on some projects the next two weeks, so my posting at our start will be sporadic. I should have time tweak Emri and dive in tonight or tomorrow. Then expect me on and off for a bit longer.

Okay, I finally have the revamped character sheet for Morsun done. There's way more detail than is necessary, but I tried to break out everything that could be modified at a level up. Feedback welcome.

One question: Morsun has a +1 striking dagger. I know that the "striking" part modifies the damage dice. Is the "+1" part indicating that I only add 1 extra die to the weapon's base damage? My brain keeps wanting to apply a +1 to hit on this weapon, but I can't find any rules saying that's how 2E works. To hit is what "potency" is for.

| HP: 42/42, Temp HP: 0/5| AC 21 | F:+9 R:+11 W:+9 | Class DC: 19 | Hero Points: 0/3 | | Focus Points: 0/1 | Speed 35 ft. | Perc +6 (+2 vs. hidden, undetected)| Deception +0, Diplomacy +0, Intimidation +5 | Acrobatics +11, Arcana +5, Athletics +6, Stealth +9 | Active Conditions: None

The +1 IS the potency rune. So a +1 striking dagger is a dagger with a +1 weapon potency rune and a striking rune. It grants +1 to attack rolls with the weapon (from the +1 potency rune) and deals one additional damage die (from the striking rune).

Link to that info if you want it.

Shuffled Emri's stats a smidge and swapped out a monk stance feat she had for brawling focus (it gives her critical specialization with her unarmed strikes/brawling, etc. Details in her profile). Also realized I'd never picked which of the rings Emri got as reward, so she took the stalwart's ring. And yes, thanks for putting the bracers aside for her Morsun, she's taking them.

With the last of her spending money she's buying one minor healing potion and one lesser healing potion.

PF2 experts, help me out, please. I can't sneak attack a swarm, so what other options do I have? I can do 2d4 P or S damage with a dagger, but is that my best action? I don't have any area attacks, either. Is there some sort of Aid action I can be doing?

This is PF2e. Creatures do not often have same Immunities and such as in PF1e.

Recall Knowledge check could help with that question though....

FYI, I am on Christmas break December 16-January 2. I might get on somewhere in there, but the likelihood is not high. I will have zillions of relatives here taking up all my availability. Apologies. Please bot me or have me lapse into a coma or whatever for the duration, and I'll check back in in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, I'm sick right now. If you could bot me for a day or so, that would be great.

@sazen: If your Heal is the standard divine spell, it's healing 2d8+16 at level 2, I think.

Ah, good point. It is just an extra flat 8, not 1d8. Okay, that helps. It is 26 rather than 20 that way (dropping the second two numbers). Appreciate the correction.

Apologies to the Table, but I am withdrawing from this game.

Good luck and thank you for the inclusion!

@GM please deactivate me from this game.

Thats fair Merlin, I'll do so. I'm going to try to be a bit more active but... my track record the last few years has been spotty if I'm being generous to myself.
