If you are referring to the two d20s he rolled, that was one for the parry and a second for the riposte.

"Nor do you need to kill today. Everyone can walk out of here." Ushi counters, touching Patros again with the wand.

Fine with me. You can have this misbegotten place all to yourself. But should we meet again...we will cross swords.... Patros says backing up but not turning his back to Nicasor.

Nicasor nods and lowers his swords, keeping on guard, but not immediately threatening.

He allows you to lift Nino's unconscious form and drag him away from the mirror chamber. As you do, you see the mirror itself begin to crack and shatter as the dimension it once held collapses.

Once out of the basement, you are able to heal Nino up sufficiently for him to move on his own. You retrieve your mounts and leave the beleaguered town of Karpad.

Reports coming out of the area later indicate that the destruction of the demiplane has lifted the "tallowthroat" curse; while those already afflicted all died, no new cases have happened. Oddly, there are no reports of the death of the baron. What exactly that means will be seen in the months and years to come.

"What, what is going' on!? Uh, that Nicasor can hit really hard!"

"Unexpectedly so," Laiashi agrees with Nino, an unmistakeable bitterness in her voice. "We had to leave the baron behind, or I don't think any of us would have made it back. Looks like they left that part out of the papers, though."
