Well, we can ever-so-slightly streamline things in a very simply manner: Since we are "exploring", we'll certainly run into guards telling us which areas are "off-limits".

I.e. I will attempt to knock on/enter all those doors to as-of-yet undiscovered areas. I can say as much in gameplay, but mechanically, it would be interesting if we would be "barred" from progress, allowed, the door is simply locked, or someone answers it.

We can play it out door by door, if you prefer :)

I'd start in the courtyard, then the 2 doors near Kara's room, then the doors near the stairs up, and finally the ones on our floor.

I agree with this approach. And believe that for making PbP a bit easier, to explore together. If nothing else, we can take turns having someone keep watch to ensure no unwanted surprises happen.


I'm fine with the free form play. I just mentioned it can be a challenge because I don't want you guys to feel like you are not progressing. Right now you are discussing plans in character which is great. When you are ready, delcare your intended action in a, "we go to do this" type of way and I'll write what happens.

But if you guys do feel like you're struggling on direction we can definitely move through the keep in a manner like Sorina described.

As said, apologies, weekends can be quite difficult for me. I'll try and post when I can, but between Friday and Monday do feel free to move forward without waiting for my input unless I am involved in the scene.

Got illness passed on to me by the little ones. Yay. Better now but not quite well.
I did actually expect we would get more rooms covered yesterday before retiring, but a thorough search of our rooms was definitely an intriguing and time-consuming idea - so I'm good, there.

No worries, I was traveling during the holiday so didn't have much time either.

@Kasit
Looking at the aether entry I found this "You can also use your basic telekinesis to duplicate the effects of the open/close cantrip." So where that cantrip would work your Telekinesis will work as well. Also you can duplicate the scoop cantrip and mage hand. Pretty handy.

Aye...but we were encouraged to take a look around. So far, we've not gone "off-grid" / to forbidden areas. I'd suggest to save those shenanigans for when it's not more complicated to explain why the door just opened by itself, as opposed to someone knocking and saying hi. :)

Ah, I suggested having breakfast first because I fully expect the other rooms to hold guests - and I figured it would be impolite to wake them in the early morning just to say hello.
