I just spent a few minutes updating our Loot List. GM, would it be possible to link to it somewhere on the campaign page? I'd almost forgotten it existed and had to dig back through discord to find it.

I listed items as sell/keep based on my own whim, but if there's anything you feel I've miscategorized feel free to change it and/or discuss it here.

Items of particular note:

Masterwork Composite Longbow: I'd recommend Kajiwara take it. (This was actually from the Licktoad Village, I think we just forgot about it.)

+1 Wakizashi: I'd recommend Asuka take it. For the thematic reason of having an actual daisho if nothing else.

Ring of Climbing: Might be useful for either Poppy or Sam if we have any more cliffs to scale.

...When did we get a longbow?

Lor-Sinn is an archery-focused paladin, as well, so she's a good candidate for the longbow as well. Do we know what the strength rating on the longbow was? I only have a +1 Strength mod, so if it's higher, I can't use it effectively.

EDIT: Also, we might want to consider keeping the cold iron Wakizashi - it may come in handy for type-based DR, if we encounter anything.

From the goblin chief. Which means technically it was made for a small creature, but back when we got the cloak GM SL mentioned that he didn't like distinguishing between small and medium when dealing with loot. There wasn't a strength rating given, so I would assume it's the default +0.

My main justification for suggesting you get it is because Lor-Sinn already has a longbow while you're using a shortbow. But I'm sure you two can figure it out :)

As for the cold iron wakizashi, Asuka's the only one who's proficient and she already has a cold iron katana. Although I could probably eat the non-proficiency penalty if I had to. I don't really have strong feelings either way.

One thing to note - have you undervalued the +1 wakizashi slightly? 35 (base price) + 300 (masterwork) + 2000 (magic) all cut by half would equal 1167.5 gp, wouldn't it? Or have I forgotten how items are valued? Kudos to you for pricing that partially depleted wand though; I frankly couldn't be bothered.

You're right, I had just forgotten to include the masterwork cost. Pricing wands is pretty easy. I just took the price, divided by 50, then multiplied by the number of charges left.

No worries, it's not like it took too long. This was the first time we've gotten major loot since the goblin village, so it was the first time I thought of it. If SL can link to a copy somewhere on the campaign page, that will prevent any future accidental duplication of effort :)

Asuka takes a second samurai(warrior poet) level and now has versatile performance (perform [act]) from Order of the Songbird, so she has an actually decent bluff for feinting finally! She picked up Goblin and Varisian as her languages (ty tengu racial) and can handle animal now.

I was wondering if either of our arcane casters would be willing to get in the habit of preparing a mage armor for Asuka. I am eventually planning on taking care of it myself or at least providing a pearl of power for it. She gets to add her charisma modifier to AC (up to her level, so +2 atm) but only if she isn’t wearing armor. She end up at a net +2 AC with mage armor and not have an armor check penalty. The reduced carry weight means she can carry supplies for one of the kindly arcane casters, too :)

Sure, I can prep some Mage Armor. Was considering whether I should do so for Kajiwara anyway. Only lasts two hours though, so unlikely to last Asuka an entire adventuring day. You may want to hold onto that mw chain shirt for now.

As for Sam's 2nd level...

With that, Samton has every Knowledge skill available, though I hope no one feels he's hogging their chosen Know skill doing so. I don't have the points to keep pumping all of them, so going forward I'm going to have to choose which to focus on.

And then there's the magic, hoo boy. In addition to gaining another cantrip and daily spell slot, Pact Wizard gives Sam Remove Fear from the Healing patron and let's him cast it spontaneously which might come handy, maybe. I am having a Dickens of a time picking two new spells though... I might go for Crafter's Fortune to help Poppy's crafting efforts and Heightened Awareness, 'cause it's just real helpful, but there are two other kinda iffy spells I'd appreciate you weighing in on, GM.

Windy Escape is an absolutely amazing get-out-of-jail-free card, but it's tied to a specific race. It does however specify that "members of other races can learn to cast them [racial spells] with GM permission." So I guess that's what I'm asking for here.

The other one is Incendiary Runes, a hilarious and hilariously broken Explosive Runes lite. Banned in PFS for a reason. I suppose I can only promise to not abuse it completely, which is to say I won't be making 100 of these bombs and keep them all in my pack for ready use. This is a real abusable one, but I promise to be on my best behavior.

No worries if you're not up for allowing me those latter two, SL. God knows the wizard has plenty of options.

Ruka took her second slayer level. Only important change is the Trapfinding Slayer talent, which allows her to disable traps like a rogue. Otherwise it was just the standard: skills, hp, BAB increase, etc.

Samton - I like to let my players have a lot of latitude in their builds and generally I am very flexible around the rules and restrictions. I will warn you I am not a big fan of power-gaming however. It's okay to have super-awesome abilities/spells/gear but if it gets used all the time and I feel like someone is trying to game the system and make their character too heroic or all powerful, I shall strike them down with great vengeance.

If you think you can balance all of that and make it fair then by all means run with them.

Okay, so, question for the group. Do we want to all chip in for one or both of the following two items:

1) Handy Haversack (2000 gp - 333 gp, 3 sp, 3 cp per person)

2) Wand of Cure Light Wounds (750 gp - 125 gp per person)

Obviously, for those of us who don't need to spend money on either weapons or armor, this is less of an ask than for those who do, but I wanted to throw the ideas out there and see what people's thoughts on the matter were.

The wand of CLW is a definite yes from me. The haversack would be nice, but since we'll be traveling with a caravan and will presumably stash most of our generic 'stuff' there I don't think it's anywhere near as important as the wand.

GM, should we assume we're able to sell all the stuff listed as 'Sell' for 50% of the value? Just so we know exactly how much cash we have on hand.

If I've calculated correctly, the sheriff also owes us at least 460 gold. (I believe we killed 8 goblins. That's 160gp for the ears, plus 300gp for the chief's head. If the 'extra' ears Poppy harvested from the already-dead goblins count then he'll owe us more.)

Edited to add: Also, other than the wand my number-one recommendation for a group magic item is the Traveler's Any-Tool. It's so ridiculously convenient.

True. I hadn't thought about that. I think I'll still have Kaji buy a donkey to haul his arrow crafting supplies and excess arrows, though - it makes sense, given the need for shafts, arrowheads, glue, and feathers.

Also, I think I'm gonna be able to afford to buy some of the fun arrows that do different things.

To add to the equipment discussion, yup, absolutely up for buying a wand of CLW. On that topic here's how the individual gold for everyone breaks down as near as I can tell.

2nd grade math, beware:

I would, however, encourage everyone to look over the math and the recently revised, (brilliantly so), loot sheet before moving too far ahead. There may be something there you feel we should keep rather than sell. Masterwork chainshirt for anyone? How about keeping a few of those skyrockets? We're light on elemental damage after all, and those things are surprisingly potent.

There are also the two chests, which haven't been appraised I think, which we could sell as well.

Counter-math

As it stands, the total of the loot currently marked as "Sell" on the sheet is 2434.6 GP, plus 565 gp in cash plus 41.49 gp in (silver) cash = 3041.09 gp. After buying the wand, there's 381.84 gp for every PC.

Okay, I think we have a majority in support of the wand of cure light wounds, so let's see if there's one available.

Wand of CLW Availability, 1-75 is good: 1d100 ⇒ 59

There is, so we can purchase that.

I suggested earlier that we keep the cold iron wakizashi, but it was pointed out to me that the only person who knows how to use one is Asuka, who has a cold iron katana, and is taking the +1 wakizashi. It isn't really useful to us the rest of us, unless one of us intends to take the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat for it.

Also, only Lor-Sinn and Ruka wear armor. Ruka, I believe, is going for medium armor. I'm not sure if Lor-Sinn is going for medium armor or light armor, but if the former, we should sell the masterwork chainshirt, as well.

Keeping some skyrockets is a good idea, though. They really do pack a punch for low-levels.

Wand of Mage Armor Availability (<25, high is always good for me): 1d100 ⇒ 47

Since there’s a wand of mage armor available too, Asuka would rather sell the armor and buy the wand. She’ll end up at a net +2 AC with mage armor and no longer have to worry about armor check penalty.

As for the ring, as long as we feel we have sufficient methods to climb for everyone, we should sell it. However, if anyone feels they might need it, we should keep it. The spellcasters could be good by just getting some scrolls of monkey fish, which are much cheaper and good to have anyways.
