Cabaguil takes his time and burns a path through the mushroom field. It is a little time consuming but it keeps the spores scorched off before getting too high into the air. Reaching Ðakaþos Cabaguil is able to clean the nasty little glowers from the elf's clothing.

With everyone gathered at the large hole he secures a rope around one of the stalagmites. Giving it a small tug, one by one you lower yourselves down into the room below.

This area seems to have once been a small complex of rooms, but their original use is anyone’s guess today, for some ancient catastrophe seems to have melted the walls in places, leaving behind a half-demolished complex. In the few places where the walls are still intact, however, the delicate carvings indicate that whoever once built these rooms was a skilled artisan. Far to the southwest, a partially melted stone archway opens into a larger room.

Two boggards and two charau-kas lurk here. Their apparent leader is a tough-looking charau-ka in a chain shirt that wears a smoking gauntlet and wields a hatchet. This must be the Cinderclaws' leader, Malarunk. He shrieks when he sees you, ordering his minions forward! He shouts in Draconic.

The pair of Charau-kas begin working themselves up into a frenzy as they screech and holler, bashing at their chests. Grabbing ahold of stones, they toss them at Cabaguil and Kelvin.

The Charau-ka leaps back at the wall and flips off, toying with the much less agile dwarf, further infuriating Kelvin.

Cabaguil's own flames only seem to gain in intensity as it absorbs some of the fireball. Flinging a concentrated portion of magical fire back at the wounded Charau-ka, it seems to nearly incinerate it as the monkey bursts into flames. Lurching back it smashes it's head into the wall in a panic and falls to the ground dead.

Ðakaþos moves in cuts down into the boggards face with his sword. The sharp blade cleaves right into its brain killing it instantly. Switching stances he slashes the second boggard across the arm.

Dori is left barely standing as he coughs up a bunch of smoke. It looks like he took the brunt of the fireball, this time bleeding for Raspar. 52 damage crit on that fireball there.

Raspar raises his shield and moves into a position to help Ðakaþos, but the wounded boggard easily avoids his attack.

The Charau-ka leaps over Kelvin. Reaching up Kelving grabs the monkey man by his ankle and slams him back down to the ground. His failure provokes an AoO from Ðakaþos Grabbing it's sickle from his belt the Charau-ka screeches and cuts at Kelvin.

Cuthberwyn pulls out his burn ointment and lotion. Giving a liberal squirt down Dori's armor, the little gnome begins rubbing it in.

Malarunk's smoking guantlet glows dark, clenching his fist a second guantlet appears in the air behind Cabaguil. The ghostly smoking guantlet claws down at Cabaguil.

Kelvin's rage certainly shows as he practices a known dwarven break-dance move with the Charau-ka as the monkey-man leaps off his knee to fall right into Ðakaþos' sword.

It takes both strikes but Ðakaþos cuts down the Charau-kas, clearing a path as he puts up a magical shield to block whatever may be coming his way.

Likewise, Dori completely obliterates the wounded boggard as he slices through it's head. This leaves Malarunk remaining. The Charau-kas leader howls. “Kill me you might, but the rest of the Cinderclaws shall come, and they shall feed your flesh to the Endless Destruction!”
