A new era is beginning for the Pathfinder Society, with new recruits and new factions all excited to build connections and embark on grand adventures. Those recruits invited to attend a welcoming party can meet both the old guard as well as the up-and-coming leaders. But the party's not all talk; the PCs learn of four exciting escapades in Absalom, through which they can kick off their adventuring careers!

Hi Everyone, I just got included into this scenario!

I am interested in how the how the Cleric really works out with the War Priest doctrine. The Cleric will be a follower of Sarenrae and I'll let you all know soon if I enter the Cleric at 1st level or if I burn some playtest points and have the Cleric enter at 2nd Level.

I quite fancy doing some sort of martial character. It will be level 1.


My halfling rogue is shaping up to be a cross between a scoundrel (charisma-based silver-tongued fellow) and a thief. Something of a spy, comfortable in social situations, but capable in a scrap.

The skill choices are left to do and they will tell the tale, but that's how he's shaping up, as a potential face - which terrifies me, as I'm not that sort, but he's not me.


I think I made up my mind for a ranger/alchemist, going the monster hunter route (think Geralt). Will post a full profile tomorrow.

I wil have a Cleric-Warpriest. Not sure if I will start at 1st or 2nd Level. I played with both on Hero Lab. I just need a little refinement and I am set to go.

I think I'm mostly ready to go; Still somewhat confused about the new faction/boon system though. I'd like to put 2 points in Swords and 1 point in Scrolls; and I have 12 Fame/Reputation to start with but I'm not sure how exactly it's best used.

I sent Nevynxxx a PM with a background for my character. I wanted to get his thoughts on it before I committed it here.

Any insight you can provide with regards to factions and such would be very welcome. I'm very new to PFS.

I tried to figure out what the different factions were, but it appears that the available factions for Boram are not the same factions that are being described on the PFS page and I'm not sure which ones are PFS1 and which are PFS2.

Factions are compleatly new with PF2. This guide will help.

That said, the first part of this adventure is an introduction to the heads of the new factions.

This is the 2.0 guide to organised play.

PR, the background in the PM looked fine to me.

CyberMephit: I haven't looked too much at the boons/reputation stuff yet. Will try to do this evening and get back to you.

Other than that, looks like we are getting somewhere and have a pretty balanced party.

"My good sir, I don't know what rumors you may have heard associated with my family, but I can assure you that I am more than my bloodline. I have made my share of mistakes in my youth, but I have been treading the straight path for some time. I have references among the city watch if you care to inquire into my recent activities. All I ask is that you give an opportunity to earn your trust."

Boram's family has a reputation for petty theft and confidence games, in which he participated as a child. However, they were generally small enough stakes that even if they didn't get away clean, the city watch didn't care to expend the manpower to pursue charges. As Boram got older, his talent for picking up new languages began to show itself - and his uncle Antal came up with a con to take advantage of a cohort that could understand a mark who thought they were pulling a fast one on the old halfling by speaking in something other than Taldane. After a particularly close call with a dwarven merchant - or rather his retinue of guards - Boram's talent also came to the attention of a patrolman on the city watch. Long story short, Boram soon had gainful (lawful) employment as a messenger and occasionally a translator among diplomats who have found themselves short-handed during their tour in the Inner Sea's grandest city. He has also done contract work for the city watch, but that's no common knowledge (for likely obvious reasons).

He's rubbed elbows in prestigious places, despite humble beginnings, and he's capable of typical thiefly activities, but he's only pursued such activities lately in service of the city watch.

Boram's world has not extended past the isle of Kortos, but he has reached a point in life where he wonders what lies beyond the horizon. Recent recruiting by the Pathfinders has intrigued him, leading him to dream of traveling the world to provide support to field agents with his talent for languages and the talents learned at his father's knee.

I'm leaning toward Envoy's Alliance with a focus on its mission to rescue Pathfinders in distress and putting three points with the Scrolls.

There is a plan to make it downloadable. But at the same time, it's designed to be a living document, so you'd only download it to make things like conventions easier where you aren't sure of having a decent internet connection.

A few things.

1) Wintergreen and Arklore don't seem to have posted to the game thread yet. It would be good to get an introduction in before we go much further.

2) Those of you who have PM'd me email addresses should have just received a notification from Google that I've shared a folder with you. This will have some stuff in it that shouldn't be shared publicly, so you may want to have a look.

3) I'm on holidays from Tomorrow morning until the following Saturday. My posting may go a little spotty, but I can't see any reason it would stop.

Everyone should now have access to the google drive space. There's a couple of folders, the interesting one is the NPCs one for the moment. The major NPCs in this section are there.

Your aim in this section is to get each of the faction heads alone. They will each offer you a job, the more effort you put into distracting the people currently talking to them, the more benefits you'll get for the coming missions.

So basically a set of skill challenges with roleplay to get to know the faction heads. As Wit has headed for the Pirate captain, we'll start there.

That’s what i like about ‘Bardic Lore’ can be used as all ^^. Really gives the Bard the ‘Jack of all trades’ feel ^^

I've probably done something wrong, rather than you missing something ;)

I've shared a folder in my google drive. You should be able to see all of the files and subfolders within that. Currently, that's an image, and a spreadsheet where I'm tracking some of your info.

There should also be two subfolders. One of those is called NPCs and has the images in it.

What do you see?
