Ed turns to face the gnome Glunda with a note of anger in his voice, "Like Master SteelToe said, we were not the ones who started this conflict...they attacked US to start!" He wags his finger at her. "I have NO regrets for killing that wolf! It was either him or me!" He begins to tremble as the adrenaline from the combat fades.

"Yeah, I'm all for 'live and let live' but not at the expense of my own life," Gillian agrees, taking a seat on a nearby wagon to better examine the bite wound on her leg. "Hunting in the area must be poor if wolves are getting bold enough to attack travelers. Hopefully that's the last of them."

Resolving that her own wounds aren't anything that require immediate attention she climbs to her feet once more and reflexively begins to move about the caravan, doing what she can to patch everyone up.

Assuming we have time...

Treat Wounds - Ed (DC 15): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Healing: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 6) = 14

Treat Wounds - Celvi (DC 15): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Healing: 2d8 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

Treat Wounds - Self (DC 15): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

The above would take a total of 30 minutes + additional time to patch up others in the caravan; 10 minutes per Treat Wounds attempt.

"Heh. So much for 'physician, heal thyself'. Ah well, I'll be fine; looks like the fleas got lost which is what I was mainly worried about!"

"HMPH!" Glunda quickly spins on a foot, turning away from Ed thoroughly annoyed. She waddles over to the horses, and runs her hand along their heads. They utter soft brays in discomfort, likely still spooked from the sudden wolf attack. "It's okay, girl, Glunda's here now. Everything is fine. Do you want some carrots?"

Bort comes around as Gillian begins working on the wounds of herself and the others. "Thank you, all of you, for protecting my caravan. Once we arrive - and we will arrive, I know this thanks to such able-bodied travelers as yourselves!" He smiles. "I'll buy you dinner, and perhaps tell you a tale or two of my grand adventures! I've had many of them!"

As he rounds the wagon, he stops suddenly. "Ah, curses. We're not going anywhere. Have a look at this."

He points underneath the caravan. The rear two wheels are trapped in thick muck, and it doesn't look like it'll be moving anytime soon. "Ulf, Olf, get out here and help us. And you guys, if you're still feeling some fight left in you, maybe you can give it a push as well?" Bort looks over at you with a hopeful glow in his eyes.

"If you give me a few moments I may be able to assist," Ed replies feeling better now that Glunda moved off. "My magicks should be able to assist you."

Ed will use Spell Substitution to swap out Mage Armor for Unseen Servant.

Spell Substitution (Arcane Thesis, Class, Wizard}:

You don’t accept the fact that once spells are prepared, they can’t
be changed until your next daily preparation, and you have uncovered a shortcut allowing you to substitute new spells for those you originally prepared. You can spend 10 minutes to empty one of your prepared spell slots and prepare a different spell from your spellbook in its place.

After ten minutes he then intones another spell...

Cast Unseen Servant.

Then one of the back wheels starts to move...

Ed will use Sustain a Spell so the Servant can Interact with the wheel. Should be good for an Aid action here.

Unseen Servant 1st-level:

Spell 1
Pages in Spellbook: 1 (Spellbook)
Conjuration

Tamli the half-orc growls at Ed as he begins mentally exchanging spells. "Come on with the magic. I'm sure there are more hungry wolves out there. Let's get a move on!"

Luckily, the wizard doesn't take very long to have his spell prepared. Scratch puts his shoulder against the rear wagon and begins to push. Ed's Unseen Servant joins the group, and though it can't be seen, the back wheel budges a little in the thickness of the muck. Gillian rolls up her sleeves and puts her back into it, and even Celvi hops out of the caravan, digs her feet in and pushes with all her might.

There's gratitious amounts of grunting, heaving, and huffing, and soon Glunda calls from ahead. "It's working! Keep going! Come on girls, you pull too!" She whispers to the horses. The wagon begins to lurch forward and soon, the wheels cut through the mud, eventually finding purchase on a dryer patch of ground.

"That'll do it! Woo!" Olf Redren cheers.

While near all of you feel fine from exerting energy, Celvi in particular is entirely out of breath and worse for wear from attempting such a physical task.

Soon enough, though, the teamsters assemble back in the caravan. "Alright, we're almost there. Get back on the wagon and let's move, before more hungry wolves decide to make us their lunch!" Bort jokes as he climbs back in.

With everyone back aboard their wagons, Bort snaps on the reins and the horses, now thoroughly calmed thanks to local horse whisperer, begin to trot forward. The caravan moves through a long set of trails and the rest of the trip is thankfully free of wolves and largely uneventful.

The caravan rolls into Etran's Folly (or Plaguestone, as you've come to learn) a few hours before dusk. Most of the simple wood-and-thatch homes look identical to one another and are in a similar state of disrepair. A number of the houses look abandoned, their roofs collapsed.

"Well, here we are," Bort calls from ahead. The wagons pass through the middle of town, where they go around a large, flat, cylindrical rock standing 2 feet high, with a hole in its center and a bowl shaped depression off to one side. A blanket of moss covers it.

"Welcome to Etran's Folly. This here is the Feedmill, the only inn and tavern in town." Then the horses and wagons are pulled into a nearby stable that's attached to an inn and tavern. Bort hops off along with the other teamsters as the stablehand, a stern-looking halfling woman, rushes up to the horses. "Welcome, travelers. I'm Edra Wythe, the stablehand here. Hey, what's happened to your horses? They seem a little uneasy, and their hooves have some.. bite marks on them?" The halfling says. Glunda darts over to begin explaining, and to comfort her animal friends, emphasizing how the horses must be treated tenderly after the wolf attack.

"Well, get the caravan secured and chat with the locals inside, if you'd like. I've got some business to handle with the crafters in town, but I'll be back at the Feedmill in a few hours, so I'll see you soon. Enjoy a Plaguestone Pilsener, on me!" Bort laughs as he walks off.

Scratch hops down gingerly off the back of the wagon and just points to the crazy crunchy Glunda before hollering back to Bort "This'll be the last day you offer up free beer to a Steeltoe!" He quickens his pace and heads inside, straight to the bar.

"Bort said the beer's on him tonight!" He cracks his knuckles and lets his eyes wander for what he hopes are free peanuts or something to go with the ale.

He listens on to Celvi's story, only snarfing his beer a few times as she exaggerates a few things beyond even his reach. "She is quite the scrapper, I'll tell you whut!" He wipes the froth off his face and nods in agreement with the Gnome. Deception Aid?: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

The taproom inside the Feedmill is generally empty, save for a gigantic, brutish human man who is digging into a turnip as if it'll be the last meal he ever eats. He throws back an amber-colored liquid before sharply calling out "ANOTHER!" to the goblin bartender.

"Y-yes! At once!" The goblin squeaks, scrambling over to pour another round.

After having a seat at a table, you're greeted by a smiling, green-eyed woman. "Welcome to Etran's Folly. My name is Delma Fulst, and I'm the head bartender here. I hope you'll enjoy your stay. If you need anything, just ask me or Phinick," she tilts her head in the direction of the goblin. "or Kolnral," she looks at another quiet bartender who wipes down the counter. "In the kitchen is our talented cook, Amora. Can you hear her?" Listening closely, you hear the singing voice of a woman coming from the kitchen. Delma cringes as you listen in. "Yeah, I know. It's pretty bad, but... She's a chef, not a singer." Delma smiles.

When Delma hears the name Plaguestone, she pulls her lips tight. "Oh. Plaguestone... Try not to call it that too loudly. Some of the locals are still sensitive. You see, Etran's Folly suffered from the plague twenty years ago and we've never quite full recovered from it."

"The rock out there was known as the plaguestone, and people would leave food for the sick in the bowl. The sick would leave coins in the hole, which was filled with vinegar, in return." She sighs. "Anyway, I'll be back with your drinks. Make yourselves at home!"

I - I'm just helping," he squeaks, tears nearly forming in his eyes. "First Hallod, now this guy.. Why me.."

Scratch stands and marches out the bar, staring poor Phinick down as he does. After he's finished relieving himself, he heads back around to the stables where Edra is found, brushing the coat of one of the horses. Glunda is also there, whispering songs to the horse and not even turning as Scratch approaches. "Oh! Hi! I've calmed them right down. A little brush and some smooth talking goes a long way. What brings you to Etran's Folly?"

Back inside the bar, citizens have started streaming in as sky darkens, and most of them look like farmers. One of the farmers sits at a table with Olf and Ulf Redren and very eagerly orders two pints of stout for himself before taking out a sack of copper and a deck of cards. Next to the dais, a half-elven man begins unpacking instruments and making strange sounds with his voice, almost as if he's doing his own personal sound check.

Soon after, Bort returns. "Well! All done with my business!" He exclaims. "So, how about supper? As I said, it's on me. I reserved a table on the dais, right next to Flonk!" He points to the bard.

You move over to the new table next to Flonk and get a better look around. Phinick has moved into the kitchen to help Amora, while Delma tends to the bar. The loud man who had shouted at Phinick earlier has left the Feedmill. Another server ties an apron around her waist to join Kolnral in waiting tables for the busy night shift. The Feedmill is packed with people at various levels of sobriety, and it's getting noisy as Scratch walks back in to rejoin the table.

The sandy-haired man walks over with a tray full of food. "My name's Kolnral and that's Trin," he nods to the new server, "We'll be taking care of you. Our first dish from our set menu is wild pheasant, roasted turnips with a side of burnt seed cake, and a nice mug of watery turnip ale." He smiles. "Oh, right. We farm mainly turnips here." He carefully sets the plates down. "Enjoy!"

"Thank you," Bort beams as he takes his first bite. "So glad to sit down to a nice meal! An adventurer like me doesn't always get to eat like this. Reminds me of that one time in the Five Kings Mountains, when my caravan was captured by a fire giant. As I was being lowered into a kettle, I managed to trick the giant into using a rare plant - frostbloom - in his soup, claiming it was quite spicy." He sets his fork down. I wonder how many people actually take to the roads because there's nothing better for them where they're at?

Too damn many.

A good long beer piss really helps your mind calm down, at least it does for Scratch. He doesn't get beer all too often lately so even though it tastes like turnip it was better than nothing. "Eh. Mostly just passin' through on Bort's wagon train. I use'ta live up near Lake Encarthan until that place went ta shit. Just putting as much space 'tween there n me ever since."

He leans over to take a look at the horses and nods "Looks like they've had better days but are better than when we brought 'em in. If ya think they need it I can treat any bites they mighta got from them wolves..."

Eventually Scratch joins the others back inside. He joins them and asks one of the other barkeeps for some dinner and more beer. His weapons are all stowed and he seems to have calmed down. "Eh." He greets Bort as he takes a seat and listens to his and the other's stories.

"Giants are dumb as rocks. Expect they'll fall fer anythin'." He nods approvingly.

Perception DC25 vs Celvi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 He looks Celvi square in the eyes and nods slowly. "Ya done good fer yerself to move on then. Some time alone in the woods helps fix things." He nods with first hand experience.

He chuckles and downs the last of his ale, waving over another.

When the caravan's magician starts in on his story ole Scratch is a bit more intrigued. He'd not grown up in a city, or with much of a formal education. He learned the way most learn in this world: do what needs to get done and you better figure it out or you'll starve. "Elidir, never gone in but ya I think I've sold a few hides to dealers near there."

When it comes to his turn to share he rehashes what he said earlier outside to Edra "Eh. Mostly just passin' through on Bort's wagon train. I use'ta live up near Lake Encarthan until that place went ta shit. Just putting as much space 'tween there n me ever since."

While Bort gets his fill of turnip goods, he listens in closely to your stories, nodding and widening his eyes in familiarity as Nerosyan, Magnimar, and Absalom are mentioned. But when Scratch mentions Lake Encarthan, Bort sets his mug of turnip ale down. "Shoot, you're damn right about that Lake!"

"One day, while I crossing its waters, my boat was set upon by a mighty storm - the mightiest I'd ever seen! Well, my ship capsized. As the sea took me, I grabbed hold of one of his treasured lock boxes just as I slid beneath the waves," he leans in for effect as Flonk the bard hits a high note, "Only to awake in front of Pharasma, about to be judged. Alas, the lady of death could not decide my fate because her hair was being tussled by the storm winds that brought me before her. Not wantin' to be inconsiderate, of course, I dug through the lockbox and found a silver comb that I gave to the lady to tame her hair."

He sits back in his chair, a big smug grin on his face. "So impressed was she by the gift, the she returned me and my entire crew to the shores of the lake, alive and well!"

Longest 'one sec' ever, right? Thanks, forum gobbos.

Trin comes by as Bort finishes up his tale with the final course. "Here we have a warm turnip porridge. I hope you'll enjoy it!"

But just as she turns to walk away from the table, there's a sudden gasp. Looking over at a table to the north, Kolnral turns and starts moving back through the common room, where he accidentally bumps into the drunk farmer who had been sitting with Ulf and Olf, causing him to spill his fresh glass of ale all over himself.

The angry farmer stands up. "WOULD YA WATCH WHERE YER GOIN'?" He shoves Kolnral, who backs away nervously. "I, I'm sorry, Eallom, I'll get you a fresh -" But just the waiter is about to turn to fetch a new drink, Eallom decks him with a swift jaw punch.

Another farmer stands up, flipping a table and causing everything covering it to crash to the ground in a horrible of smashed glass. "What do you think you're doing?!" He slurs at Eallom. "You can't just go around punching people! The hell!" The farmer throws an uppercut, tossing Eallom back onto a table which gives under his weight. Ulf stands up and throws his drink in that farmers face, and then the whole common room is up on their feet, punches flying in rage, furniture being toppled, and the ground slick with spilled ale!

Bort jumps to his feet. "Well, shit. We got a full on brawl. Gotta do something, and fast!"

Okay team, we're going bar brawlin'. The entire area of the Feedmill is difficult terrain, filled with people, knocked over chairs and broken glass. Given the number of NPCs, I'll have the party act, and then the NPCs act. Rules for nonlethal attacks are on Page 453 of the CRB, if you need them. I've added some more images of known NPCs so you know who's who, but the generic tokens are either really just farmers, or people you may not know yet.

Round 1 - Everyone is up!

Yup, you can Ready an action in PF2 (p. 470)

GM Rolls:

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Through the chaos, you see Delma hop over the bar and scramble for the front door in a hurry, nearly tripping over a toppled bar stool. Phinick comes charging out of the kitchen with tears streaming from his eyes and rushes for the stables, while another gray-haired citizen stumbles towards and out of the front doors.

"And this one's for overpourin' my beer!" A drunken farmer shatters his mug against Trin's head just as Gillian warns her. The poor server falls onto Gillian's feet and crawls her way behind her, whimpering.

"STOP THIS MADNESS!" Bort rushes down the dais, but even his booming voice is mostly drowned out by the chaos of the brawl... And worse yet, a farmer doesn't seem to take kindly to his attempt to calm things down. He picks up a chair and tosses it at Bort, but the dwarf manages to duck under it. Celvi watches it sail towards her and crash into the wall just behind.

Punch vs Ed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
A farmer rushes towards Ed, and Ed zaps his mind with energy, so the farmer throws a fist at Ed's forehead.

Celvi uses a similar spell on the drunk rushing at her with his fist overhead, and the farmer stops in place, stunned.

Punch vs Scratch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
"STEEL DOUGH CLAN? NEVER HEARD O' YA!" The farmer spits as Scratch approaches, nearly decking Scratch with the force of his punch!

Action 1: Hunt Prey/Recall Knowledge: Untrained Society: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Action 2: Attack 1 Unarmed: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 131d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Action 3: Attack 2 Unarmed: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 2 = 171d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Feats:

Hunt Prey: Single Action: When you focus your attention on a single foe, you become unstoppable in your pursuit. You gain the Hunt Prey action. Source Core Rulebook pg. 168. You designate a single creature as your prey and focus your attacks against that creature. You must be able to see or hear the prey, or you must be tracking the prey during exploration. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Perception checks when you Seek your prey and a +2 circumstance bonus to Survival checks when you Track your prey. You also ignore the penalty for making ranged attacks within your second range increment against the prey you’re hunting. You can have only one creature designated as your prey at a time. If you use Hunt Prey against a creature when you already have a creature designated, the prior creature loses the designation and the new prey gains the designation. Your designation lasts until your next daily preparations.

Hunter's Edge: Flurry: Source Core Rulebook pg. 168
You have trained to unleash a devastating flurry of attacks upon your prey. Your multiple attack penalty for attacks against your hunted prey is –3 (–2 with an agile weapon) on your second attack of the turn instead of –5, and –6 (–4 with an agile weapon) on your third or subsequent attack of the turn, instead of –10.

Monster Hunter Feat 1: Source Core Rulebook pg. 171
You swiftly assess your prey and apply what you know. As part of the action used to Hunt your Prey, you can attempt a check to Recall Knowledge about your prey. When you critically succeed at identifying your hunted prey with Recall Knowledge, you note a weakness in the creature’s defenses. You and allies you tell gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next attack roll against that prey. You can give bonuses from Monster Hunter only once per day against a particular creature.

Celvi again gets into the farmer's mind, and he simply stands there, stunned on his feet. Gillian doesn't appreciate the poor server getting a mug to the face, and jabs at the farmer who assailed her. Trin peeks and shoots Gillian a thankful smile as she trundles through the brawl as quickly as she can, heading fort he back of the bar.

Scratch sizes up his opponent, a human who looks pretty drunk and lacks any real weapons. He's only wearing farm clothes, which look like they'd function about as well as padded armor.

After he's had a decent look at the man, he swings and hits the farmer with a left and right hook. The man stumbles, nearly falling over the dwarf, but it only enrages him further. "STEEL TOE'S BOUT TA FEEL A REAL BLOW!"
He picks up a chair and slams it over the dwarf's head!
Chair vs Scratch, improvised: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
.. And Scratch is nearly knocked out from the pain.

"Olf, GIMME A HAND! This jerk just chair-slammed the guy who killed the wolf!" The Ulfen twins hop over chairs and glass and then bend at the knees below the farmer who attacked Scratch, and deliver a twin uppercut to the farmer.

Scratch winds up another his fists, staring down the Turnip Sniffer, the third swing proving to hit hard enough that he knocks the man out cold!

Celvi retreats behind Gillian, and wracks the brain of the angry brawler. Ed tries the same trick, but the farmer doesn't seem to be affected by it.

The farmers trade a few more punches. One gets it hard in the gut and keels over, puking all over the ground. The farmer double teamed by Ulf and Olf now finds himself surrounded, but stubbornly and drunkenly continues to throw left and right punches in all directions. "Turnip sniffer?! We BUILT this town on turnips!"

Olf and Scratch both duck to avoid the swings, but Ulf receives a particularly hard hit to the face. The Ulfen brother bares his teeth as he wildly swings back at the farmer, his last punch sending him flying over Bort's head and into the two farmers behind.

"HEY! WATCH IT!" They shout, scrambling down the dais towards Scratch and Bort. Bort's head is bruised from the fist of one, but Scratch is lucky and quick enough to bend at the knees - or perhaps his height proves advantageous - and avoids the attacks.
