What evidence of a threat did you find? You should share the information if you truly want to protect the society. Allow all of the very best to work together against this threat.

Even if you did pick one of the very best, using an Abrogation Matrix prevents them from reaching their peak performance. Your response to the threat is flawed.

Note Neon Ten is CG. He isn’t going to believe a person is better able to function when mind controlled.

He moves again, firing at Historia-5 as he moves. He then takes advantage of what little cover there is behind a railing.

Neon Ten finds that any sort of diplomacy or intimidation is well beyond with this pair of fragments. "Flawed you say? This all sounds very sentimental to you. This is why you need this to be passed down. Someone must think logically." The voices echo each other.

Ducking into cover behind the railing neon Ten sends a shock coursing through Historia-5. Atticus' shot goes wide as he takes out a monitor. Obozaya fairs much better as the flaming doshko removes one of Historia-6's arms. Sparks and a thick clear fluid run down the androids body.

Chivix stays laser focused on Historia-5. His laser sparks across the surface, leaving a scorched trail in its wake.

The pair continue to psychically and physically assault Atticus and Obozaya.

Haha! I am definitely going to have to read up more on that program.

Neon Ten sends another jolt of electricity through the air, but this one dissipates too early before reaching Historia-5. Clearing his mind ATticus sends a large projectile right through Historia-5's head. The miniature cannon tears through half of the androids face, killing it as it collapses to the ground.

Obozaya's flaming blade severs through the other with ease as the two halves are flung over the railing.

Combat Over.

As the nasty silver trail drains slowly away, the screens on the bridge momentarily glow blue. The disembodied voice of Historia-7 crackles from the comm unit. “I can't find any trace of either Historia-5 or Historia-6 anywhere. There was another presence here, but they must have been just a memory.” The screens fade to darkness, but blue emergency lighting strips flare up on the floor, leading off the bridge toward the aft airlock.

The voice continues, interrupted by bursts of static. “Something's wrong. Historia-Prime knows we're here and hasn't fully revealed itself yet. You should leave now, before it's too late.”

The airlock opens, and a wall of near-deafening sound crashes forth. At first it's not clear whether the screams are excited or terrified, but then pastel lights flare and flash along to a pounding bass beat, and the screams are subsumed by a near-deafening wail of an amplified koto. From this vantage, the giant strawberry laser-projected across the back of the stage readily identifies the four performers.

Not five feet away are Zigvigix and Historia-7, attention fixed on the stage and the dynamic performers there. Zigvigix has their limbs and antennae both up in the air, thrashing along with the cascading guitar rhythms, but from here it's plain that even Historia-7 is wearing a small smile despite the crushing crowd. She begins to nod along with the music—until the sound degrades into a screeching feedback. The lights flash silver, and the seats at the edge of the stage begin crumbling away into digital static, leaving a growing void that spreads outward. The suddenly empty stage remains the only fixed point of safety and stability amidst the rapidly expanding chaos.

You each have a choice. You can try to leap towards the safety of the stage, or you can try to stand your ground and stabilize the memory.

Leap to safety:
The gap between the remaining seats and the stage is 25 feet wide, requiring an Athletics check. feel free to use jetpacks, flight, spells ect. The athletics check is more for those that don't have an easy way across.[/ooc]

[spoiler=Stand your ground to stabilize the memory]
Profession (Performer) or Engineering or Mysticism to try to stabilize the memory. The Profession (Performer) is to reproduce the music. The Engineering is to fiddle with the sound system to provide feedback to the silver static and chase it back with waves of sound. The Mysticism is to reinforce Historia-7s psyche against the corruption.

If you have none of these, you can attempt an aid another with another related skill check or some other idea if you can justify and roleplay it out.

Wait...we are in a mindscape. Time to use that to my advantage!

Using Alter Terrain ability in a weird way.

The static around Neon Ten resolves itself into the blue lines that preceded all the other terrain changes. The lines create a wire frame that soon resolves itself into a familiar site: Historian-7’s Office. Specifically, her office just after he and Atticus had broken into the computer.

He then takes out his Star Sugar Heartlove!!! and places it into the media drive.

Cracking his fingers, he says “Time to restore the corrupted archive from the original!” and he starts the data copying.

Atticus dives towards the sound system, yanking one of the plugs free. A loud screech is heard all throughout the concert as the venue begins to rematerialize.

Neon Ten uses the dissipating terrain to his advantage. Jacking into the corrupted archive he shapes it to his will and inserts a copy of Star Sugar Heartlove!!! and cranks it up to full volume. The music begins to thump and beat through the vision as the crowd jumps with excitement.

With your delicate work and intimate knowledge of these two faction heads, the memory stabilizes. The concert venue rematerializes almost as if the scene had been played in reverse. Then it starts up again with the whole crowd dancing and singing along.

"Yes, that's how it happened," Historia-7's calm voice states.

You all walk easily to the center stage, where CAPTAIN CARMINE calls out to the audience honoring the Starfinders for saving Songbird Station. “Today, we found out we had some fans who didn't make it here because of a tragedy,” the lead singer continues, causing the audience to quiet down. “These brave Starfinders were lost in the Scoured Stars system a few months ago. Their friend brought their holograms here so they could still be with us today. So, I want you to get ready to cheer for them! Cheer so loudly that they can hear us, even out in the Scoured Stars! Let's let them know we love them!”

At that, the crowd erupts into an even more deafening roar, with people from every corner of the Pact Worlds, the Veskarium, and beyond yelling at the top of their voices. “That's right!” CAPTAIN CARMINE cuts through the screaming cheers. “Everyone, get ready to cheer one more time! Because not only are the missing Starfinders with us here in spirit, their friends are here with us in the flesh as well, and they just saved our concert and Songbird Station! Everyone, give it up for the Starfinder Society!”

As the holograms of all of Ziggy's lost starfinder friends appear, you all see something that you had missed in the crush of the crowd when you were here before... but this is Historia-7's memory, not yours. You see her reach out a hand briefly to Ziggy, a hand that Ziggy briefly touches before they both quietly let go again.

Then blue stage lights form an arrow leading you to a bright-blue door that appears in the wings. Historia-7's voice booms out from the massive wall of speakers. “Hurry, Starfinders! There's no time to lose!”

Obozaya leaps! lucklily the stage materializes right underneath her as she felt her psyche begin to tear apart from the corruption. Atticus and Neon Ten's actions saved the vesk's mind from some severe damage.

Rolling to her feet Obozaya stares at the blue door as the group passes through.

The bright-blue door at the back of the stage swings open, allowing soothing sunlight to pour through. The landscape beyond is a lush, verdant jungle, though the familiar skyscrapers rising up behind the trees mark the site as Jatembe Park, the massive green space in Absalom Station's central Eye. Here, though, the trees are shot through with silver circuitry, and the foliage flickers and stutters. To the south, down a half-dozen steps, a statue of a heavily augmented shirren stands within an overgrown sunken garden. Silver lines trace around the statue's base and creep upward along the statue's legs.

"There you are." As soon as you appear, a silvery ooze with five screaming heads, and one, eerily calm, congeals out of the silver circuitry that laces this park. All six voices speak in unison. "It's good to have someone witness this moment, the moment when I sever the last ties of a corruption that has rotted my faction for the entire last year. She wrecked everything, all my life's work undone. She offered me the faction back, but I knew it was too late. All those new recruits looked up to her, an entire generation of Starfinders corrupted, beguiled into unthinking loyalty. No, I could not take it back as myself. So I became her. It should have been simple. She couldn't resist me alone, but she's had you and that loathsome bug that she befriended. I wondered where that loathsome bug was, for surely they would be leading the charge? And then I realized. They are the BRIDGE." The calm head glares at the statue of the augmented shirren. "Ah, but the bridge linking you here has a broken foundation that is easily crumbled. Destroy it, and I gain the field. You are just in time to witness the return of order, wisdom, and the guidance that the Society has so desperately needed."

The squares of undergrowth on the map act as difficult terrain during this encounter.

Sorry for the delay folks. This weekend was...nuts

Chivix snapped out of the mire his mind had been in since he saw the other two Historia's killed. This was a surreal experience, and he wasn't sure his mind was up to coping with it. Fortunately, it didn't have to. He had several subroutines installed in various augmentations controlled by Gravy, and one of these took over and led him along with the others to what was most assuredly Historia Prime. The 5-headed beast looked something like a hydra from legend, and Chivix wondered if cutting off one head would cause two more to sprout in his place. Then his mandibles twitched in amusement. Even as Gravy locked onto to the creature and painted a targeting reticle, Chivix murmured, "...vulnerable to FIRE!"

...and pulled the trigger.

Chivix cused as he missed, threatening to uninstall Gravy and replace him with a version of 'Grabby' the binder clip mascot that annoyed publishing software users for decades. Twitching his mandibles in irritation, he fired again, with the last remaining shots on this set of batteries. With a smooth motion he ejected the battery from his rifle and slotted a fresh one in.

Obozaya swings twice, both of her attacks scorch the ground but don't hit Historia-Prime as it shifts just out of reach. Atticus fires off another round. The miniature cannon tears through the fleshy mass as it closes back in upon itself. All heads screech in pain as they echo in your minds.

Chivix's mandibles continue to twitch in irritation as his rifle narrowly misses. Meanwhile Neon Ten begins to summon a bit of help. "There is no escape."

Obozaya focuses her aim and brings her flaming doshko down into the edge of Historia-Prime.

The creature shudders, and splits off a silvery android, with a shock of reddish pink hair threaded with silver. You recognize her as Historia-4, from the photos on the screens in Historia-7's office. "Now look at what you've made me do," she says, glinting at you with cold, silvery eyes. "I don't think you lot are worthy of my kind mentorship."

Chivix, Neon Ten and the summoned robot each have difficulty penetrating the ever shifting mass as it seems nearly impenetrable. You guys keep getting so close to the AC.
