Tytus AC is 22. There is a typo but 8 +2+1+1 =22
AC: 22 = 10 + 8(Armour) + 0(Shield) +2(Dex)+1 Nat Armor+1Defl;
Second Tytus is using a reach weapon and has additional reach thanks to longarm. Shouldn´t he have received at least once an attack of opportunity?

As Tytus is first at 0, then at 5 points he uses the full retreat option to retreat to a safer place.[/ooc]

  • Because Tytus' AC is indeed 22, the earlier hit (from a bunch of posts ago) missed, which means after the latest set of attacks he is at 75 dmg (disabled, but not dead), which means that Caduceus' life link triggers, leaving Tytus at 70 dmg (i.e. 5 above 0) and leaving Caduceus at 10 dmg.

Badly wounded, Tytus withdraws from the action. (Note: this *would* have provoked an AoO from Black (since he has reach) but he's blind, so you are good. Also, none of the attacks against you in the previous round would have provoked an AoO, even with your reach).

Heccan growls as he sees Tytus nearly fall to the giant raiders. Unseen, his brow furrows as he sees Hector facing very unfavorable odds.

"Time to even the odds a bit. I hope this works."

Heccan unleashes his dark power, allowing mind altering arcane energy to seep into the chamber, falling over the attacking giants.

Heccan casts Confusion, WILL save v. DC 23 to avoid. If confused, effects listed in table in spell description below. Burst applied to map, will miss Hector.

    Confusion:

    School enchantment (compulsion) [mind-affecting]; Level bard 3, bloodrager 4, sorcerer/wizard 4, witch 4; Domain madness 4, trickery 4; Subdomain entropy 5, lust 4, whimsy 4

    CASTING

    Casting Time 1 standard action
    Components V, S, M/DF (three nutshells)

    EFFECT

    Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Targets all creatures in a 15-ft.-radius burst
    Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes

    DESCRIPTION

This spell causes confusion in the targets, making them unable to determine their actions. Roll on the following table at the start of each subject’s turn each round to see what it does in that round.

    Table: Confusion Effects
    d% Behavior
    01-25 Acts normally
26-50 Does nothing but babble incoherently
51-75 Deals 1d8 points of damage + Str modifier to self with item in hand
76-100 Attacks nearest creature (for this purpose, a familiar counts as part of the subject’s self)
A confused character who can’t carry out the indicated action does nothing but babble incoherently. Attackers are not at any special advantage when attacking a confused character. Any confused character who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes. Note that a confused character will not make attacks of opportunity against any creature that it is not already devoted to attacking (either because of its most recent action or because it has just been attacked).

Hector moves forward and squarely strikes the stone giant, but he does not fall.

Heccan, by my tally you still have 2 rounds of Greater Invis (my notation in the stat block means: it will expire just before the turn of the caster (i.e. you) on round 12); it's currently round 10 for you. Also, Levitate is 1 minute/level, so I have it expiring at 04:40 (clock ticking since you met the first group of giants back in the forest), and it's currently 04:31. I also went back and checked for Slow and Confusion (wondering if my stone giant could possibly make it until they expire) and added their durations up top as well. Of course it's always possible that I've goofed somewhere along the way or miscounted.

    The bold may act!

Exactly, Tytus keeps out of the 10foot reach of the giant.
Keeping his distance he whirls his chain and attacks again.
    Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 261d10 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
    Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 271d10 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20

@GM that sounds right, I was estimating. That being said Heccan will try to land and move away from the giant while his invis is still up. Thanks!

The giant is clearly getting tired from its efforts. It flails uselessly at Caduceus.

Caduceus' life link once again heals Tytus.
