Seeing Croaker make a play for the green flag but ending up just tumbling around somewhere near it Charlie jumps after him - and the flag.

Not sure what kind of action it is to actually get the flag, if I can grab it as part of an action I'll try to move back again. I'm also assuming that the flag is attached to something solid I can use to grab and push off again as opposed to keep floating forward

Oz sees a lashunta float into the hallway behind the Vesk, landing relatively upright against the wall.

Meanwhile, the vesk floats up to Oz and takes a swing with her cestus battleglove! Charlie and Croaker also see the vesk float into view.

Bam!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Ouch!: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Unfortunately for the vesk, she seems to have just missed Oz.

"Starfinders appear to be first to the neutral flag." Quell stage whispers. "But hand-to-hand combat has started to break out!"

K, so last turn ended with a move to grab the flag and me staying there

Holding up the flag in one hand Charlie pushes off for the door

Athlectics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

before rebounding of the wall and floating back towards home base

...and continues to float gently turning this way and that as he goes along while the flag bops along trailing like ...well, a flag.

I assume that's our plan? Get 2 flags together and defend them? And after that try to take as many of our opposition out as we can

I assume Jagrur is continuing his guard-the-flag strategy. Can always go back if that's changed this round.

The lashunta pushes off toward Oz and fires his azimuth laser pistol.

Oz again evades the damage as the lashunta had to fire wide to miss his ally.

The vesk stops her movement in front of Oz. A: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
She doesn't stop entirely as she wanted Off-kilter and as a result her swing at Oz is a little bit off.

Oz continues to hold his position to buy his team more time to move around and take advantage of the other team's difficulties in zero-g, using the flash from the missed shot to obscure his blade as it dances in the air towards the vesk!

...but his blade swings rather wide, possibly because of the vesk's own instability in zero-g. With an almost sympathetic look on his face, Oz will commiserate with his off-kilter opponent for a brief moment, "...yea...it's been that kind of a day on our side, too."

Croaker using his legs and tail pushes off the table and flies back the same way as he came. He flies slowly with steady speed letting him to aim at the Vesk attacking Oz

The riffle feels weird, he got accustomed to his own weapon. It had scratches on the handles from his paws and nails. His trigger does not go so smoothly as in this gun. He hates changing weapons, which is bad for a mercenary but what can you do. Everyone has there own quirks.

GM, you assumed correctly...just figured that staying in ready action is about all I can do...especially since we seem to have gotten the 2nd flag. So protection of our flag is 100% more important now.

If I got this right; A creature that moves in a given direction continues to move in that direction at the same speed at the beginning of its turn each round (without taking any action);

Charlie continues to float down the corridor tumbling this way and that, the flag trailing behind him

Then seeing a Pathra turn into view, then leaving again, then returning, then leaving and then after one more turn returning into Charlie's view around the corner of the wall he's heading for Charlie bangs into the wall

Croaker keeps flying in 0 gravity space while aiming at Vesk fighting Oz
"I almost got a clear shot, just a bit more..."

And just as he is taking a shot, he slams into the wall. The laser hits the floor not that far from Croaker.

As his furry head provided good amortization and no important parts of his body got hurt. He aims at the up-side-down Vesk for the second time.

Croaker keeps spinning around at the wall, trying to stabilize him a bit.

I kept flying in the same direction which resulted in me being in the corner.

Oz winces as he's shot, grunting into his comms, "Oww....called it."

He'll try to twirl his knife around in his fingers before slashing at the vesk, hoping the light glinting off of it will obscure its movements.

Survival Knife: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 vs. KAC

...but as his blade catches against a bit of bulkhead he just closes his eyes for a second, ignoring Jagrur's question as the three opponents bear down on him, muttering, "...oh darn."

Croaker's second shot strikes the vesk, dealing (nonlethal) fire damage to the Starfinder's opponent. Vesk-18

The vesk goes limp, but continues floating upright due to the zero-g environment.

Unfortunately this means we might have to re-do Oz's turn. In order to keep things from getting too convoluted, are you (Oz) okay with saying you delayed until the below activities happened? Otherwise I think you would've had a chance to take a shot at the lashunta if you pulled out a ranged weapon.

Choppy takes a blast at the pahtra right next to him, which hits! Pahtra -2

The pahtra responds by dropping his ranged weapon (leaving it to float beside him) and pulling out a wire garotte to attack Charlie who's holding the neutral flag!

S: 1d2 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Fortunately Charlie is able to avoid the wire attack.

Meanwhile, past the floating vesk and lashunta, Oz sees the andoird concentrate and mouth a few words.

Suddenly the vesk blinks and is conscious once again! The vesk glares at Oz and looks back in the fight! Totally making this up, but it seems like you wouldn't fall prone when falling unconscious in a zero-g environment. I'm going to say the vesk is off-kilter and dropped the battleglove she was holding (which would be normal for going unconcious). If anybody finds a ruling for what status effects you pick up for going unconscious in zero-g, please point me in the right direction.

I would have sworn you can't drop gloves from going unconscious..but I can't find a rule in Starfinder saying you don't. I actually also can't find the rule saying you drop items you have in your hands when you go unconscious like in Pathfinder either..so this might just be my search skills..

Surprised by the choice of a piece of wire as a weapon Charlie blinks his eyes before bracing his feet against the wall behind him and pulling back his right arm for a wind-up punch before following it up with a left hook

Oz would have tried to trick attack and shoot the next closest enemy with the same attack modifiers (vs. EAC instead of KAC though), and would have missed just as badly :P

Also I think you hold onto battlegloves even when unconscious, based on their description as worn gloves (that also allow you to hold other items in-hand while wearing them - you just can't attack with the glove while holding something in that hand).

Charlie swings twice and misses the pahtra.

Meanwhile, the lashunta, despite spinning off-kilter, shouts "Get him!" at Oz again and tries to fire his own weapon.

The lashunta's slow spinning in zero-g causes the shot to miss!

Assuming that because it's a glove it wouldn't have been dropped when the vesk went unconcious, as people commented earlier.

The vesk takes a moment to right herself in zero-g before taking another swing at Oz.

Oz winces in pain, but continues to hold his tenuous "on-kilter" position, hoping that all the movement will let him slide his blade past the vesk's guard long enough for Croaker and the rest of the team to start working on the rest of their opponents!

If Croaker drops the vesk before Oz's attack, this would be replaced by his shadow pistol which targets EAC and does Cold damage vs the next nearest target. Thanks, GM!

Croaker observes how Oz is being hit by the Vesk in an upside-down manner. He is glad that the hit made no impression on the Elebrian. Again he aims with his rifle...

"Hold on Oz, I will take him down."

"Eventually. " says floating Croaker as he takes the second shot.

But again, a combination of floating around, sweaty paws, untrimmed nails and moving of the opponent make him miss the second shot.

The blast hits the pahtra in the back; he yelps in pain! Pahtra -7

The pahtra shrugs of the blast to his back and renews his assault on Charlie. He uses a shadow to attempt to briefly slip out of view before attacking Charlie with his garotte!

Trick Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Charlie never sees the attack coming, but the pahtra still misses Charlie's neck.

Meanwhile, the Android concentrates and says a few words again.

Suddenly, Oz feels his mind under assault!

He manages to shake off some of the damage, though.

Charlie sets his feet firmly behind him and leans forward putting his whole weight behind his punch before following it up with a left hook.

Trying to slice Charlie's neck leaves the pahtra exposed, which is made all the more apparent by Charlie's fist slamming into his head. Pahtra -14

I'm assuming Jagrur will continue to ready; we can come back if this isn't the case.

On the other side of the map, the lashunta takes a moment to right himself before shouting "Get him... again!" at Oz. Although he isn't floating around anymore, he wasn't able to get off a shot.

The vesk takes his advice and tries to clobber Oz, twice!

Battleglove 1: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 21

The vesk's first battleglove strike hits Oz squarely in the face!

Croaker aims at the Vesk, seeing with the corner of his eye blood in the place where Oz was hit. Also, Croaker senses some mental activity happening. He quickly listens to the magic flowing around, he is a bit better at eliminating the 'noise' of the planet. It still causes him nausea but Ysoki is able to soldier through it. He feels that Oz was targeted by a mental attack.

"Oh, that smiling Android! I will rip his guts and make a toaster from them."

Croaker stabilizes himself with his one paw and a tail. He reaches with his mind towards the closest good thing that he can think of, his allies. All of them did a lot for them to be where they are. He uses those emotions to channel his spell. He begins chanting and rubbing his hands. A group of semi-translucent butterflies flies towards Oz and disappear in his body.

Mystic cure: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Move action: stabilize position
Standard action: casting Mystic cure.

My math comes out the same as yours, GM!

Oz's vision blurs as he feels blood coming from his ears and nostrils under the mental assault, "...bet those @#%^%'ing show hosts didn't think to give us nonlethal inhibitors for spells, did they?" he'll complain to himself mentally, probably only just narrowly avoiding giving himself an aneurysm right before he gets punched by the vesk square in the face!

Knowing that he'd never survive the vesk's onslaught if he tried to grab a healing serum, he continues to try and twirl his knife (or pistol) around to hit the vesk (or lashunta)!

Knowing he's fairly done for, he calls over comms to Croaker. "Might wanna consider falling back, kid. Protect the flags and use the hallways as a funnel. I'll slow 'em down as much as I can!"

And if the GM will allow him to continue a bit more combat banter...

He'll speak a little louder after that, "if we're real lucky our space-walking duo will be coming up behind them any second now!"

(I'd offer to roll a bluff check on that, but, well, we've all seen how my dice have been in this game!)

You are right GM! sorry for that, my bad. Such a good roll and decent post thou.

Croaker shakes his head. What was it? Why his mind is playing tricks on him now. He knew right away that it was hallucination as one can't cast healing without touching the recipient. The amount of magic that is lost is too high for healing to be effective. After all, it is a delicate process, not like damaging which always is simple.

Croaker considers his options.

"Not a chance Oz, I am not leaving anyone behind. I will not take a chance of an accident happening. You will not die on me, nor I will let those dead Elebrians try to revive you and turn you into a dead man."

He follows the guidance of his dream, stabilizing himself. Croaker does reach out for magic, "Let this dead planet be damned." feeling sick already. He focuses on the Vesk, analyzing his mind, the way how he thinks and feels. Croakers eyes turn purple as he focuses and says:

"Come here!"

Casting Command - approach Will save DC14 to resist, his movement cause attack of opportunity from Oz.

BotChoppy once again fires at the weakened pahtra, who hasn't had any success injuring Charlie, let alone getting the flag away from him.

Choppy's laser burns the pahtra's back again! Pahtra -16

The pahtra begins frantically looking for a way out of his current position. He pushes off of the wall going toward the south, with the corner preventing Charlie from making an attack as he leaves.

Acrobatics for zero G: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Just before he disappears entirely from view around the corner, Charlie sees the Pahtra skillfully push off of the floor to begin moving west, back toward his allies.

On the other side of the combat, Croaker feels the vesk attempt to resist his command to her.

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

He senses her mind shunt aside his command for her to move toward him.

Perhaps fearing the worse, Oz sees the android concentrating again in the back. No sudden pain follows a split second later, however.

He misses. The vesk, meanwhile, swings her glove twice, trying to knock Oz out of the fight.

Grumbling that Croaker won't pull back and leave him out here, Oz kicks with his legs against the bulkhead, attempting an Acrobatics check to avoid an attack of opportunity from the vesk.

If successful, he will glide across the room until he's next to Croaker, attempting to top his landing next to the ysoki, drawing his holo grenade from his .

Croaker looks terrified as Oz dodges the attacks and is able to slip out from the dire situation. Pun intended. The dire GM was in a dire situation. No? Not funny? nvm then.

Ysoki aims with his rifle, seeing as Oz floats towards the nearby wall.

Croaker extends his hand and reaches out for magic within him, it is the last spell that he will be able to cast today. So there will be no head explosions on his account. He grabs Oz firmly with his paw and let the healing magic flowing.
Mystic Cure: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 hp

"You are one slippery bastard Oz I must give you that. You should feel better now. Go into the corridor. I will go right behind you!"

Apparently the site ate my edit and kept my 2nd to last draft - my post should have said "If successful, he will glide across the room until he's next to Croaker, attempting to stop his landing next to the ysoki, boots against the wall." - I thought about having him draw a grenade but then realized that would mean leaving either his knife or gun floating out there somewhere and decided against it.
