Faction: Wayfinders
Wayfinders Champion (Faction Boon)
You’ve declared your allegiance to the Wayfinders and dedicate your missions to furthering the goals of that faction. A character with this boon slotted at the end of a successfully completed scenario gains Reputation as detailed in the primary and secondary success conditions of that scenario.
Budding Media Celebrity (Social Boon): Following your stint on Live Exploration Extreme!, your face and name appear in images, videos, and memes across media platforms. This recognition only lasts a few days before the next major media phenomenon arises, but you can use this to launch your media career. If you have the icon theme (that's me!), you gain a +5 Profession check when performing a Day Job check. If you do not have the icon theme, when you slot this boon, you can gain the icon's celebrity ability in place of your own theme's 6th level ability.
Marked Field Agent (Slotless Boon) SYSTEM:Hand , MODEL: Single ,LEVEL: 1. This implant rests underneath the skin of the palm of one hand, or at the end of a tentacle or similar appendage in species that lack hands. The augmentation can be activated or deactivated mentally as a swift action. Activating the implant causes a rendition of the Starfinder Society’s symbol to glow underneath the skin. This augmentation acts as a mark, letting others know you are a member of the Starfinder Society. It also increases the light level within 5 feet by one step while active.
Mobile Translator (Slotless)
Prerequisites: Wayfinders Tier 1
Cost: 2 Fame
Benefit: You acquire a Tetrad certified translator as if you had
purchased it, but you do not need to expend any credits.
Normal: You need to spend credits to acquire this item.
This elaborate datapad has several additional audio receptors to capture nearby sounds. If you don’t share a language with creatures
you encounter, you can activate this device to collect basic linguistic information. The device requires 10 minutes of observed conversation to gain enough information to operate. The device then acts as a rudimentary translator. It does not allow you to converse with creatures with whom you don’t share a language, but it can relate very basic information. Examples of statements the device could interpret would be: “come with us,” “lower your weapons,” or “leave immediately.” The device cannot parse proper names, including personal designations or the names of items and places. Some extraordinary complex or obscure languages might not translate clearly with this device. A Tetrad certified translator has 10 capacity and 1/hour usage.
day job: 1d20 + 12 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 12 + 5 = 27

I thought so! I saw your user name which rang a bell... and after a quick check of reported sessions I was able to confirm that yes... I have played with you before in person! You GM'd for my table of Blood under Absalom at a local convention a couple years back. Definitely one of my more memorable tables at that convention series. Given the volume of games you probably have run there I doubt you remember it, but thanks for giving us the time to roleplay and mess around more than we probably should have in a timed special. And for letting my buddy hurl... sewage... at Aspies.
Gunnar Grymm |
No, I totally remember that table. It was a lot of fun. The scene in the sewers was definitely memorable. It really stood out for me because I felt there was a lot more character interaction than I usually see in multi-table specials.

I remember at the time being really grateful for getting that group. I was pretty new to GMing Society and at that time they mustered groups for the special on site AND assigned GMs their tier on the spot. I had requested nothing higher than 3-4 so there wouldn't be too many crazy character options but was given 7-8 right before the group was seated. Everyone was just there to have a good time though and was very helpful if I didn't know how their various abilities worked. Actually, I think that was the first time I ran a Special. I had served as a runner once before tallying table successes but that was the first time I was the GM for one.

My skills aren't great here considering we get one shot at each skill. I'm best off doing Profession Merc to convince him of our usefulness as allies should he cooperate or just aiding on perception or sense motive.

I'm on a small trip and won't be able to do much until Friday... until then, know that Mustachio is carefully watching and ready to claim all the credit.
