Another announcement comes in as the group moves toward the flying octopi. Anyone paying close attention will realize that the Pathfinders have now accomplished all the tasks that were originally presented to them. Yet, this particular group still needs to help get their assigned repair team to the proper spot.

Aram Zey stands once more before the tapestry, a renewed light in his sunken eyes. “The Hao Jin Tapestry is stable at last. While you were performing your duties, I have reached a better understanding of the chaos you faced. The tapestry is still in dire condition. Lacking Hao Jin’s own magic, the tapestry has been using small pieces of departing souls to maintain itself over the centuries. This mechanism is depleting the tapestry’s water sources and spawning undead horrors. However, thanks to you, we have time to search for a more permanent fix. For now, get some rest, and—”

The former Master of Spells staggers back as a three-foot tear down the center of the fabric gouts sudden flame. Pathfinder agents flock around him, scrambling to assess the damage. A vein pops out on his forehead, and he yells sharply, “Pathfinders! What have you done?” He cuts himself short, taking a deep breath and muttering to himself, “Keep it together. Don’t take it out on the agents.” Frowning, he returns his gaze to the tapestry, his eyes darting wildly across its surface. When he speaks again, his voice is low and determined, “This new rift is no accident. Something is attacking the tapestry from the Astral Plane. Damage of this magnitude must have spawned hundreds more undead. Quickly, re-enter the demiplane and fend off the invaders!”

The Pathfinders pile on, a couple more managing to land blows but it is Kal’Ryon who delivers the final attack, shredding the diabolical Mary Poppins accessory with his claws.

With the creatures defeated, you can finally proceed to the Pagoda of the Rat. The seven-story structure is the ratfolk's stronghold and seat of power at the center of Round Mountain.

Here, you speak with Krella, a druid and the leader of the ratfolk.

"Thank you, Pathfinders. I am grateful for your aid in helping to secure Round Mountain."

She turns to the Pathfinder repair team and provides them with detailed directions to the Astral rift nearby.

Then Krella turns back to you, speaking in a whisper, "While we wait for the repair team, I must caution you. We ratfolk have many eyes and ears in the tapestry. Your old enemies, the Aspis Consortium, have poisoned many of the tapestry’s people against you, but I sense that something far more sinister lurks just out of reach. Someone—or something—is at work in the tapestry, and has taken great effort to remain hidden."

"I fear that this is just the beginning of our trouble."

As the repair team gets to work, the announcement comes in that the repair work is almost done and all the exploration teams, including your own are pulled out of the Tapestry.

Even while you are celebrating their victory and comparing notes with other teams, the tear happens and Aram Zey sends everyone back in to counteract the new threats.

Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin approaches you. "So, Pathfinders, will you join the force confronting the undead or the group that intends to beat back the invaders from the Astral Plane?"

He waits, impatient, for you to make up your minds. "No, I don't have any more information for you about either threat. Don't dither, just make a decision and go!"

You unlock a special boost option for the Share Knowledge Aid Token.

We’ll take the first two votes for Undead or Invaders.

Castinus is already reeling from the barrage of locations, foes and blaring announcements regarding the calamitous state of the Tapestry. And now he appears to be standing in a heat-blasted desert ruin, facing a monstrous humanoid of some sort, encrusted with foliage and leaves.

What exactly is this monster?

Looking at their opponent's reach and mighty strength, Castinus sizes up the surrounding ruined columns, to assess whether he is able to climb atop them to gain a surprise advantage. "Hold the line here - take him down with arrows until he comes to us!"

Castinus aims to use acrobatics to clamber up onto the ruined wall and look down on the troll, 2 squares to the south, assuming this is possible. If not, he runs 5 squres to the south, hoping to outflank the beast when it charges the party and Kal's reach polearm...

Svartill manages to hit the creature with his crossbow, causing a not insignificant amount of damage.

Castinus realizes this particular creature is a Moss Troll. A subspecies of trolls that normally live in forests, it obviously did not expect to end up where it was when it signed on with these invaders.

Like all trolls, it regenerates. Unlike it's most common cousins, it is not particularly affected by acid. It is, however, particularly vulnerable and fearful of fire. The wound caused by the crossbow bolt is already largely closed.

"So hot! So wasted! Why are we fighting for this place?" the creature roars, clearly angry and confused.

Castinus also accurately predicts its tactics and it charges toward the bulk of the pathfinders. It is a case of "physician heal thyself" as Hayden is the target of the attack rather than Castinus.

This is a hard one. For most effects, you pick a corner and measure the radius from there. I believe, though that with an ability like this, your description of "every square you could move into with a 20' movement speed is right (and the best way I've seen that explained.

Bocke activates an ability to help his allies not get shredded. Quensha prepares something that is going to give the troll a very BAD day.

Kal'Ryon goes on ahead and starts the bad dayness with his pole arm.

Round 2. The Bold may act.

Deftly Castinus slips along the crumbling top of the ruined temple wall, looking down upon the troll slashing at the ranks of the party beneath him. Picking his moment carefully, he steps, then leaps down rapier aloft, aiming to impail his blade squarely through the horned skull on the way down...

So this sounds like a charge in that it will leave Castinus vulnerable; it will provoke an AOO from the troll; he will make an attack then an acrobatics roll with panache to remain on his feet after. .

attack, bless, height advantage, charge, flanking: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 331d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

You had your "/" the wrong way in your dice expression. I fixed it.
But I don't see where you ended up on the map.

Castinus scores a palpable hit after more than a bit of derring do.

AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Slashing: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

He pays the price, though as the troll rakes his claws across the half-elf's chest even as he is mid-air in his leap.

Castinus' attack is enough to knock the troll unconscious...for a moment. All of his wounds begin to close as the party watches and it has barely fallen to the sand before its eyes pop open and it looks to retaliate.

Bocke, Hayden and Svartill have very wisely either stayed out of reach or backed away so as the troll prepares to unleash his fury his beady eyes weigh up Castinus and Kal'Ryon.

Apparently, he decides Kal'Ryon is either more of a threat or looks tastier and he lashes out from the ground.

"I'm going to make a tent out of your hides to hide from this sun," it rumbles.

Bite: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 5 - 4 = 14
Slashing: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Claw 1: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 4 = 8
Slashing: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Claw 2: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 4 = 13
Slashing: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Even with all those claws and teeth, his position on the ground keeps him from getting a solid blow in.

Round 2, still. The Bold may act.
