So...in many of my games I actually award XP, but have found it to be a pretty useless endeavor and unneeded tracking item. What do you think? Can I just bump you up levels by milestones, or do you like the feel of getting XP as you earn it?

So, how do we want to manage the loot? Are we going to split it evenly, pass out items to those most capable of using them, or go for a free for all where pilfering is allowed? Do we need to keep track of individual gems and RP the sale, or do we assume they just get converted to cash later and split?

Doesn’t much matter to me, Arsiel is all about helping the whole having been raised in awful circumstances. So he’s all about equal. Say we were to sell these jewels he’d just share it out for everyone.

Ana is fairly wind-spirit, easy come easy go. Having said that, a modicum of equality appeals to her.

I would just prefer the simplest solution. No RP for the sales and a straight up trade for cash and split, though if someone has appraise and wants to take on the job that would be great.

I do think it would be a terrible waste if we sold items at half price for cash when they could be used by a PC, so I think we should distribute magic as needed but count the value towards the distribution (at sale value, not purchase value) and keeping a running total. That means if someone gets a +1 weapon, they can expect to not get any cash for a while since it would count at over 1150 gp in distribution. Don't know how I feel about that so being flexible would be nice. Some spending cash is important.


What is everyone else doing while Garland checks out the chest?

If Ana uses her kinetic blast while adjacent to her foe does she negate the snow ranged penalty?

So....

Garland has a trait that provides cold resist 5 against the first cold damage received each day. Not sure how this would work against the cold weather. Any thoughts?

Also, she has SR 7 (currently). If the weather is due to magic, she may be subject to a roll against the SR.


Hrm....good question. It would surely allow you to ignore the first roll, but I don't know how that would work against subsequent rolls


I think that you're probably good given the conditions now - nonlethal damage. If it gets more extreme and goes to lethal, then we'll need to start tracking. The SR wouldn't apply, as it is actual, weather damage

Ques, do you have an ability that lets you summon that eagle? I think it's "Versatile summoning", but not sure if there's something else that allows for it.

And, noted on Grey...I think he has to get down to his Con score in the negative to leave this plane.

Ah, in that case Grey is still there. A summoner gets a certain number of summons per day which he can use to cast a summon monster X, but only if the eidolan is not present. Since Grey did not vanish, Ques cannot do what I thought and the action fizzles. Or did I get that wrong?


That is correct, though you could dismiss Grey as a standard action, and you would not be able to summon him till tomorrow. You could then do your summon monster next round.

I don't think our group of level 1 heros has much in the way of healing so I'm not sure Grey is going to be revived anyway. Anyone think of a good reason to keep him around?

Gar could heal him once as a CLW. But she has to touch Grey.

He's at -5 HP so she would have to get lucky to bring him to consciousness.


Ques, is there an alternate action you'd like to take?


You can also wait till it takes more damage, then use your life link to keep him here on this plane. Grey would probably be furious with you, but that may provide a good distraction as the creature seems to be intent on eating him.
