DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

I still need an action for Zandril and then my goblins get to move before they get zapped. Will move on with the Forest encounter after that as well. Want to keep them somewhat close in rounds.

"I'll check the door across the way." Zandril says and hops to. He opens the door only to find yet another and so moves up to it (double move).

Zandril PER: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

All of the goblins get off of the slanted area of floor and manage to avoid the Eagle's talons while doing so. Then the one goblin who did not have to move fires his bow at Camil but misses. Forest shuffles the fight closer to the goblins. The tentamort attempts to squirm loose but fails. One of the goblins watching the tentamort fight turns to the other and comments.

If you speak goblin:
He's beating the tentacle monster. Think we should run?

With a mighty shove, Forest pushes the all too friendly monster down the natural stone hallway and next to the goblins. "Here!" He huffs in the little green monster's own tongue. "You dropped this!" He shoves the landsquid the last few inches towards the door, turning it so its creepy red eyes are facing the newcomers. As he releases his controlling hold on it, he beats a hasty retreat, hoping it is intelligent enough to realize the seated, smaller, non-plate-wearing goblins would make for an easier meal than himself.

Grapple: 1d20 + 5 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 7 = 18
Standard action to maintain grapple and move monster + Forest half Forest's speed - 10 feet - west towards the goblins, putting the monster adjacent to the door/nearest goblin. Free action to release the grapple. Move action to move Forest 15 feet east and 5 feet south provoking an AOO from the squid, putting Forest in the square south of "D7" unless it grapples Forest with the AOO. I believe "D7" is the square in which Forest dropped his weapon and shield, and he will use two move actions to pick them up next round unless something else comes up.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

The tentamort seems to not have an interest in grappling but it does lash out at forest with its stinger one last time. The thing hits him in the knee groove and it burns like crazy. (DC 15 FOR save, 3 CON dmg if fail)

Poison DC 15 FOR save: 1d4 ⇒ 3 CON dmg

What is the one untyped bonus? If you are using ABP rules, we scratched that. It was causing issues so I stopped using it.

Makes sense, but it misses.

Zandril opens the door in front of him to reveal an L shape hall. @Lavanor: all of the goblins moved on their turn. I assume, Zherxikas will shift his spell assuming he still wishes to cast sleep. Yes the fire is out. I removed the fire from the debris. The debris is still difficult terrain but that is all. You may jump the debris if you like, the ceiling is 12' high. You may squeeze into an alcove with a statue.

@Zherxikas: I assume you just shift your spell over 15' to cover all of the goblins, yes?

A single move would carry you to the debris pile and then you could get off a bow shot. A double would get you up to the bugbear. The room is a little dangerous right now because it has a slanted floor leading to the pit.

I moved you to a position just behind Camil. You have a shot on the Bugbear form there and it doesn't put you in a kill zone. No matter where you go you will have to shoot through folks and into melee (thanks to the eagle) to hit it though. And one of the foes looks to have occupied the spot where the fire was.

Thanks but I had access to the map earlier and moved me. I have my sword in hand so I don't believe I can put it away, move, draw my bow and shoot in the same round. Moving to the debris will allow me to reach a goblin next turn if they dont move.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

I moved the debris to the back. Someone had accidentally moved Lyrie forward and she was under the pile. Don't forget, the area inside the red square is slanted in toward the pit.

still not sure how the bugbear moved from the alcove closest to us as there is a pit in the way, its a hard corner, so he can't go 5' step to the NE, and saw no rolls for standing jump

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

I just gave it to him because it is a simple DC 5 maybe 10 climb check to round the corner and then a second move to cross the slanted portion.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Isabella moves up to the hall to observe the conflict but stays in a position where she can keep an eye on the currently unconscious Lyrie. Two of the goblins kick at the nearest sleeping goblins (standard action). The commando goblin shoots at Lavanor but misses. The bugbear meanwhile drops its bow, draws a heavy flail and proceeds to miss the hopping eagle.

In the level above, the two goblins attempt to flee the tentamort. The tentamort manages to grab one of them as they run.

"Someone take down that bugbear before my spell wears off!" shouts Isabella.

Runt gives Isabella a combination look of 'duh' and 'we're TRYing'. Hopping into the air again, the eagle starts slashing and slicing the bugbear, and gets another nice shot in.

to hit talon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

to hit talon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

to hit bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Runt doesn't like the look of that pit, though, and holds back, instead casting guidance on Camil.

Feeling sped up like before and hearing Isabella's plea, Lavanor drops his bow and starts moving around the pit. "Camil, make sure that bow doesn't get lost. Isaballa, how much time do we have before the spell wears off?" he says as he moves while drawing his sword. Moving all the way around the pit and to the bugbear, he attacks.

"No telling! He'll keep resisting it, could be seconds!"

The eagle gives the bugbear a nasty gash and then Lavanor crosses to safety and takes the thing's head off. In the distance, Lavanor can hear the sound of goblins running up the stairs in mere flight or to get reinforcements is anyone's guess. For now, the battle seems to be over.

You have two more rounds of pit. What are you going to do about the combatant at the bottom of it.
