The corpses that didn't fall off of the stairs have nothing of value, but you note that they are dressed as you would expect from monks. The bodies appear to have experienced a few weeks of decomposition.

The party climbs the remaining ten flights of stairs in the late afternoon sun. Whatever awaits at the top of the pillar at least your legs will be happy to see it and the end of your climb. Weed looks for traps as you ascend and finding none you finally make the top of the rock.

The top radius of the massive pillar is several hundred feet. At the far Western side (the stairs deposit you on the Eastern side) what looks like some type of giant stands between two tall pillars of flame that bend arcs of fire towards the center where the giant (?) is working over something. You can see a pile of bodies casually discarded nearby where the giant works. Betwixt you and this scene (about 100' ahead of you) are four well composed corpses that look to in life have been monks of Irori.
