Anyone else?

Female Gnome Oracle 5 | HP 39/39 | AC: 18 (T: 14, FF: 15)| Saves (+3 vs illusions, +2 vs fear/despair, +5 vs charm/compulsion): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +3, CMB: +5, CMD: +14, | Init: +2 | Low-Light vision | Perc. +11, SM +8 | Spells: (1st) 7/8, (2nd) 3/5

Kira clutches the symbol of Desna under her jacket. Starsong, help us destroy these creatures so they can't hurt anyone else!

Casting Bless. The attack role bonus will stack with Inspire Courage.

Is anyone else taking a surprise round action.

Male CG Half-Elf Slayer 1 | HP: 13/13 | AC: 19 (13 Tch, 16 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 17 | F: +4, R: +5, W: +0 | Init: +3 | Perc: +6, SM: +4 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None. | Image

I finally got my accounts sorted out. Will have a real post done later tonight.

Surprise round: Rutilus will study target the closest tooth fairy. He would have also purchased some cold iron item (a falcata if he can afford it

Silver Crusade

Female Elf Warpriest (Wasp Zealot) 4 / Magus (Spire Defender) 1 / Evangelist 2 HP 49/49 | AC 21 | T 17 | FF 16 | CMD 18 | Fort +8 | Ref +5| Will +10 | Init +2 | Perc + 7

I think cold iron just doubles the cost of items, unless I'm misremembering. So if Rutilus could afford another couple of falcata (? falcatae?), it wouldn't be a problem. At least, before magic gets involved. I think there's some quirk about how cold iron interacts with magic item creation, but that's much more serious chunks of change.

Yeah cold iron just doubles the price.

Lodoro, do you want to take a surprise round action?

Ok at this point we need to go to initiative

Adonara initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Rutilus initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Kira initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Lodoro initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Pellius initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

tooth fairy initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

So initiative order is:

Block 1: Lodoro, Rutilus

Block 2: Tooth fairies

Block 3: Adonara, Kira and Pellius

So block 1, your actions

Male CG Half-Elf Slayer 1 | HP: 13/13 | AC: 19 (13 Tch, 16 Fl) | CMB: +4, CMD: 17 | F: +4, R: +5, W: +0 | Init: +3 | Perc: +6, SM: +4 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None. | Image

Rutilus was largely silent during their investigation. He just couldn't understand. At least the evil and brutality of Thrune he could understand. There was logic to it. These murders, the tooth fairies, evil for the sake of evil. He just knew they needed to stop them. So they waited while Adonara used herself as bait. When the tooth fairies first appeared he was initially shocked, still not wanting to believe they were real. He then began to focus.

Rutilus narrows his view to a single tooth faerie, examining it for any weaknesses. Then in a flash he lunges out his hiding place drawing his new cold iron blade and his shield in a single fluid motion, striking at the creature. He hopes the shock and surprise of his attack will draw the fairies to himself and protect his less armored allies.

Studied Sneak Charge attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 23

Rutilus darts forward and smashes his blade into the nearest tooth fairy, killing it instantly.

Lodoro, your action

Lodoro moves forward and attacks the nearest tooth fairy.

glaive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Lodoro misses.

The tooth faires move forwards, one attacking Adonara, one on Rutilus and one on Lodoro.

Kira moves forward, carefully calculating distances and angles. If I cast it here... A cone of swirling colors suddenly shoots from her hands and covers three of the creatures.

Casting Color Spray on the tooth fairies in the red bordered area. Will DC18 to negate. Otherwise if the creatures have 6HD or less they are unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round.

As the nearest fairy successfully nips painfully at her fingers, Adonara dances back, unwinding a stream of evocation along with the coil of her whip, using both aggressively to keep the fairies at bay.

Full-round action to cast burning hands with spell combat, casting first, defensively, then taking a 5’-step and swinging at the fairy that just attacked her.
Concentration, vs DC 17: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25 Spell damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 Reflex DC 13 for half, everyone in the purple spell template.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 - 2 = 4 Weapon damage (nonlethal), if hits: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Her main focus on avoiding getting her extremities pinched again as she gestures through her spell, Adonara swings her whip deliberately wildly, if fiercely, as she spins back (Taking the additional penalty on her attack roll to boost concentration, though it looks like she got lucky this round.), and she is pleased to see her prudence rewarded as a fan of flames erupts from her free hand to engulf three of the little monsters. Light them up! she thinks, with grim satisfaction.

reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

One of the tooth fairies manages to evade the burning hands, the other takes the full force. It is still there but only just.

As Rutilus and Lodoro sweep the fairies before them with brutal efficiency, Adonara meets the weird pinching fey as best she can. Setting her jaw against their nips and stabs, she snatches her new dagger out of her sleeve with her free hand, charges it with a spark of magic, and delivers her own thrust at the first of the little monsters that makes a misstep within her reach.

Rutilus hisses as the creature pinches him, not so much at the wound but at the surprise of being pinched. He then swings his blade around at the offending creature.

Inspired Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 = 13
damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11

Probably missed, but if the creature is dead, I will move to flank the creature with Adonara. If its not dead, I will 5 foot step south and study target the one I missed.

Rutilus, your blow misses.

Lodoro moves forward and attacks the tooth fairy on the corner.

glaive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Weathering the storm of pinches and pokes, Adonara feels an impulse to laugh rising irresistibly within her. She’s had worse at work, at least while learning the ropes.

Guessing she can best help the others if she can hold onto the fairies’ attention and give them pause, Adonara swings her whip through an arc that eddies and licks more like a living serpent than it has any right to.

“Choke on it, vermin!” Her laughter barks out in a vicious threat in Sylvan. “We’ll crush you into ... tooth powder!”

Full-round action with Dazzling Display to demoralize - well, I guess there’s just the two fairies conscious in 30’. Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 4 = 16 Including the bonus for being taller than these nasty little things.

I have to say, I’m feeling a weird Rossetti vibe from all this. “White and golden [Adonara] stood,” and all that.

“Like a royal virgin town
Topp’d with gilded dome and spire
Close beleaguer’d by a fleet
Mad to tug her standard down.”

I’m loving every minute of it. Though Adonara could stand to roll better. ;)

Kira's crossbow bolt misses.

The tooth fairies react to Adonara's words, it appears that they are shaken and want to run but something is compelling them to continue attacking.

Taking aim once again, Pellius sings on the virtues of using proper cleansing paste to keep your teeth minted fresh as he launches an arrow at one of the remaining foes.

Silver Crusade

Female Elf Warpriest (Wasp Zealot) 4 / Magus (Spire Defender) 1 / Evangelist 2 HP 49/49 | AC 21 | T 17 | FF 16 | CMD 18 | Fort +8 | Ref +5| Will +10 | Init +2 | Perc + 7

Nodding her thanks to everyone for unburdening her of the mass of pestiferous not-quite pixies, Adonara rushes forward to try to put Lodoro’s suggestion into effect. Stooping to the nearest of the unconscious fairies, she’s quite grateful that they’re as small as they are, as she uses her whip to improvise a quick restraint. If that works, I think the Escape Artist DC would be 22, given her CMB.

As she straightens back up again, rearranging her skirts while making sure her dagger is in easy reach, Adonara gives the idealistic singer a meaningful glance. Her form shimmers through the slight distortion of her shielding spell, as she chooses her words carefully, searching for the words in Common and Chelish idiom. “It’s worth a try, though whatever’s behind them is enough to keep them coming even into – if I may say so myself – a harsh threat, not to mention everyone else’s brutal efficiency. They almost certainly deserve, in any case, the … ultimate penalty, is how the expression goes, isn’t it?”

“Still, I wouldn’t wish excruciation on anyone, nor would I wish to encourage such barbarity. I think it will be up to us to sort things out.” She pauses a moment, evidently considering the possibilities. Her brief silence speaks volumes, but she does continue, “I’ll be guided by everyone’s best judgement, of course. Incidentally, might anyone know if it’s precisely the teeth of people that these things need?”

Basically, Adonara’s afraid that playing judge, jury, and executioner might be more merciful than either official proceedings or turning things over to the locals. On the most merciful note, she might wonder if the fairies could be redirected against Thrune’s pet dogs. Or even, I guess, though that’s back to people, uniformed dottari?

You are able to tie up the two unconscious fairies

Female Gnome Oracle 5 | HP 39/39 | AC: 18 (T: 14, FF: 15)| Saves (+3 vs illusions, +2 vs fear/despair, +5 vs charm/compulsion): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +3, CMB: +5, CMD: +14, | Init: +2 | Low-Light vision | Perc. +11, SM +8 | Spells: (1st) 7/8, (2nd) 3/5

Kira shivers a little in disgust as she approaches the unconscious creatures. "If Zea was right, it might well be the dottari who sent them against these people in the first place. We can't hand them in to any authorities. You're probably right about them deserving the 'ultimate penalty,' so, I guess we just...kill them. Once we're done asking questions." She winces at the thought, but it's not like they didn't already kill the others.

"Let's ask them who sent them, if there are any others, and where they came from." She considers for a moment. "Especially where they came from. If Pellius was right, there might be a child there that deserves a proper burial."

Does anyone speak Sylvan.

The bard stops his song and makes an effort to retrieve any missed shots.

"If there were others I would be shocked... these things seemed to be almost pack-like in nature. That said, it is possible that someone else is pulling the strings of these little evil puppets. Well, assuming they were not just summoned on a whim to sow chaos."
