Leaning heavily on her staff for a moment as she works to push past the sense of being drained, Faerieth speaks a word in druidic, setting the crystal atop her staff alight with a green glow. Holding it up to illuminate the darkness, she steps into the room illuminating its darkest corners.

Big Johns chest heaves and he stands bent over, hands just above his knees.
”I felt like he was trying to recruit me into his merry little band of rotting corpses.”
He continues to try and catch his breath.
”Hang on . . . wow . . . Phew! Ha! A little out of breath still.”
He holds up a finger and wipes his brow.
”It just feels like. Like, um. His hands are still in me, like he left a hole in me and part of me is running out or something.”
Big John stands up straight, but somehow looks lessened.
”I’ll get my crap together here in a second and come help you.”
He pulls up his belt resolutely.
Then rushes over a retches into a bush.
”Man. That fight really took the life outta me.”
