We’re all supposed to meet at the statue of Durvin Gest as the second location for this phase. We’ll figure out the dark alley from there.

GM - I expect to make stealth checks for 322’s movement, but can she also provide assistance with the Janira disguise with an Aid Another check? Would there be additional bonuses for taking & wearing some of Janira’s outer garments, and/or borrowing Shohirajj’s disguise kit? Could multiple people aid?

Of course, if Rataji has spells that would help, my questions might be moot.

Multiple people can aid on the disguise check for Janira. You can use the disguise kit if Shohiraj is fine with it, but no additional bonuses for using Janira's clothes since the kit already gives you a bonus for good props.

Let me know if you are assisting on the Janira disguise, but I'll be rolling the assists and the main check.

Rataji also asked a question in the gameplay thread & he can do what he was asking. I will note that disguising as a specific person gives observers an automatic opposed check instead of a take-10 and a bonus on their Perception, however. The specific person in question won't be fooled, of course.

Can someone point me to the regular mission briefing? I have the Zurnzal-specific briefing, but was there a separate one for our overall goals? I know vaguely we're stealing the sky key and doing something with the tapestry, but I wasn't sure exactly what the details were and I didn't see it at the beginning of the gameplay thread. Thanks!

I don’t know what kind of resources the other characters have, but I’m happy to have 322 help with healing. Just ask in the gameplay thread - she’s unlikely to think to offer otherwise.

How did the chameleon bite me? It shouldn't have gotten an AOO; I didn't think I'd taken any actions that would have provoked one.

I'm at a loss to imagine why you wouldn't provoke. The chameleon has 10' reach with their bite (more with tongue) and I assumed that you moved through the square 322 was in into the square where you attacked. You don't gain cover from characters when you share a square. It looks straightforward to me.

Was there something you want understood differently?

You're right, that is straightforward and my bad. I somehow completely missed that their bite attack also had reach. (I do still think it's weird that they can grapple someone with their tongue and bite someone else at the same time, but that's just monster abilities for you.)

I've personally found the best way around that limitation is the feat Spellsong. Some funky wording, but it lets you concentrate with Performance instead of... uh, actual concentration, I guess?

But even with the concentration, taking one opponent out of the fight is a huge help. And you're "conserving" spell slots for later encounters, which is probably a good thing.

Ya typically we will outnumber our foes so a 1/1 trade at the very least is to our advantage.

Calm Emotions generally only needs to be held for 1-2 rounds to be worth it anyway. My worst cast of that was when I got all of the bad guys. It's a tricky spell, but very good and actually slightly better if the DC isn't really super high. You want some of the bad guys to succeed and some of them to fail.

My funniest Calm Emotions was when a barbarian succeeded on his save against it, but his mount failed. The GM could have interpreted the spell differently, but he had the mount just stay at charge distance while the barbarian was kicking it to move.

I'll be at a convention this weekend, so not generally around Fri/Sat/Sun. I will try to post, but from my phone is often problematic.

Any idea what the policy is for pregen scenarios like this and applying credit? I intended to apply this chronicle to a character I am playing this weekend. If that's not possible, I have another character I can apply to, just wanted to check first.
