We are going to go ahead and open the discussion thread here, For those who made it congratulations.

I am going to give people a couple of days before I start to RP the night before if you want, if not that is fine too.

I am hoping that we are all going to have a fun time. Please let me know if you are not.

Hey Ben, Risam.

Question for GM. The 'Ancient Explorer' Trait is a bit confusing to me and I might have added a language that I shouldn't have. Does it mean I can get Cyclops for 'free' and so I'd have my 4 bonus languages plus Cylopean or does it just mean I can choose Cylcops as one of my bonus languages?

The way I read it you can choose Polyglot or Cyclops, one of which will be added on top of any languages you know. But I am not the DM so as always final word is theirs.

I have played a S&S that died early on as another class. We had an alchemist with little regard to that. He died on another ship we boarded in the hold because he could not get out due to his own bomb created fire, took another PC with him that tried to help. Risam is not that stubborn or foolish. Personally I intend to get a discovery addressing just that as soon as I can. In the mean time I can make plenty of acid. ;)

I was keeping it vague not to point anyone out. Don't worry we loved Laniss and his nuttiness. To bad we never got to see a lot of Drake's stuff.

Anyways no worries I don't poke at people often. Depending on what you write up I may have to blow myself up to survive. I once played a wizard that had to use a fireball at point blank range, not fun but only option at the time. What are you going to do, enemies are not considerate. ;)

More than happy to have an extra language :) Looking at the positions of the ship in the campaign tab It seems like QuarterMaster would be the best fit for the high int Chaenath.

So I guess they caught me hiding the rum, but apparently, my draconic cussing and banging on the locker is like a lullaby.

I'm pretty sure you passed the rum check. Though it seems like you can't hide it, just dispose of it with a DC10 Stealth check. Rolling 1 isn't an automatic fail for skill checks.

Why did my diplomacy roll only get indifferent? If she started as unfriendly I would have failed. If she started indifferent then it's high enough to get her to friendly.

Sense when one of us fails on a diplomacy check it reflects the attitude of the NPC towards all of us. I suggest no one target the same person as another. That way we can spread our efforts and not be counter productive on someone else's roll.

Yeah I'd like to know how the Charm Person spell interacts with this as that's Chaenath's only dependable route to influencing people. Would Failing it cause the person to get suspicious or not matter? Would succeeding just move a person to friendly permanently?

From what I have read charm person is temporary. Also it has a verbal component you'd be subject to perception checks to be noticed. Throw in Sense Motive to notice someone under the effects of an enchantment. As well sailors being superstitious in nature and it's not worth the risk in my book.

Personally I consider charm person a defensive spell.

Anyways that's my take on it. As always it's the DM's call.

Yeah Chaenath is a high int character which isn't really helpful at this stage of the game. Might be better to just keep her head down right now.

Honestly man, pardon reptile, stealing from a chest some items is one thing. Stealing the whole chest is going to get noticed by a senile one eyed bilge rat much less anyone else on the ship. The last thief was killed only a few hours ago. How did you even move the thing. >.<

This here works pretty well for making very simple maps. you can adjust the size of the map, and Paint the tiles how you want. to put in a character drag and drop a picture into the map. There are no instructions on how to use it so you just gotta fiddle with it. A lot of people use google doc drawings to do combat maps.

dungeon grid and ditzie work better for my workplace than google docs or other media sharing sites do.

If the lashes came from brawling the other pirates wouldn't be starting anything with us they would be going for strait intimidation. Besides the first mate and the Bosun are buttheads. The will give us lashes for being late.
