That doesn't mean you can't make a kick-ass archer, though.

Arcane Archers are a great PrC. Just remove the elf requirement, and they're interesting.

Very True, If the PrC was Order of the Bow Initiate and I was the enemy I'd want to hid under a large rock just to break line of sight / get cover

There are a couple of options from the Weapon Master's Handbook I'd like to use, but I want to run by you first and make sure they're allowed, DM:

Feat: Swordplay Style
Trait: Aldori Caution

I'll let the Trait pass, but not the Feat.

Oh, I wasn't complaining :-). The Erinyes 3/Hinterlander 3 is a little less powerful than a Zen Archer 6 would be (or even an Erinyes 2/Zen 1/Hinterlander 3) but it has its compensations :-).

There is no elf requirement in PF

Ellioti wrote:

You're right. They took that out. I was looking at an early rulebook.

Got it. I’ll take another style instead, not a problem.

Same, And I kinda prefered it that way for a few reasons.

I am looking at a Rakshasa / Eldritch knight build.

Applicant Interest Deadline is set to April 2rd 21:00 EST (GMT -5:00)

Character Submission Deadline is set to April 5th 21:00 EST
Characters need to be Complete; Alias, Stats, and Backstory.

Can you please tell us more about the game?

What's the setting? Is it even Golarion...
What will the topic be, dungeon crawl, intrigue, war, investigation, etc?
How long will it take?
Will there be level ups?

Honestly, you can't expect much fluff for our submissions if we don't know what we're submitting for.

Main Fluff note was in OP

OP wrote:

Now for the common Backstory part(s) that'll be needed especially for those with Monster Levels.

Your all part of a Mercenary Unit, The Wild Wolves, lead by Pip Bernadotte and Second in Command Shelly Harrison.
You all know each other,
Now those with Monster Class levels did an Contract that saw them in the end getting Cursed by a powerful Lich, into becoming something they fought.
Those Uncursed are the newer recruits and or those that did not take part in that operation.
Now the cursed members are slowly changing into monsters and the curse consumed some of their class levels for fuel the first 2 monster levels and in a few cases modified/changed their classes after the initial change.
Some Cursed members are enjoying the curse, others hate it, others are neutral about it.

Setting: Golarion (Minor Edits)

Play Type for Current planned Module: Dungeon Crawl, Infiltration, and Investigation.

Campaign Length: If the The Module gets done then It'll continue with a New adventure.

Level Up: Level Ups will occur when I figure it's time to level up.

Other Fluff Posts1 wrote:

The Wild Wolves:

Pip Bernadotte:
A Taldon Human of average looks and took command after the previous Leader, Hugh Jazz, died in the same battle where Pip lost his left eye and keeps a patch over it.
He's laid back, but methodical and careful, and also a bit of a womaniser.
Classes: Fighter/Rogue/Exotic Weapon Master

Shelly Harrison
A Varisian Woman of wit and thought, she helps Pip keep the Wild Wolves in the red and helps in finding contracts for them.
She is also the one that helps in keeping the more peeping toms in check generally with explosives.
Classes: Alchemist/Rogue/Master Thrower

----

The Lich encounter was a contract to clean out a Castle in Ustalav of Undead that started spilling out into the country side, slowly making more undead and becoming an army of darkness.
Those that Defeated the Lich ended up with a monsterous curse turning all of them partially into monsters and slowly becoming more monsterous are time goes by, with some Members getting it further progress in becoming a monster then others.

Below is not required, but something to help build up the character's fluff.

Helpful Question file for Building a character's Background and Personality.

For those that chose monster classes something to help build the character's background and persona is to ask;
How did the character Act before and after the Cursed Operation?
How did the Character Look before and after the Cursed Operation?
How did their relationships with other members of The Wild Wolves change after the Cursed Operation?

For those that did not take Monster Classes ask this;
How did their relationships/behavior to the Cursed members of The Wild Wolves change after the Cursed Operation?

updated requirements for the Bloodhound from Complete Adventurer?

I'll be putting the Bloodhound in the No Pile unfortunately...

Still working on getting Valessa prepared for this (backstory in progress, hope to have it posted to her page tonight or tomorrow). I have made some changes and spent some gold, esp in light of the new caps and thresholds. Feel free to give her a once over if you want to... other than 910 gold to spend, getting my backstory on, and spelling out some of the random crunch bits remaining she is mostly done.

Here's my submission. Let me know if there's a problem with him or you need something more.

Lothorian "Lefty" Sativa.

It's Hard to Read your skill values

please try to use this format
SkillName: Total = Ranks + Stat Mod + 0/3(ClassSkill) + Other Modifiers;

I should warn, I do play some enemies smart and they will target weaknesses, so Glass Cannons should be wary.

He will be. LOL!

OK, done for the night. Down to 900 gold (bought a small tent) and got about three paragraphs of backstory on there... and before you ask, no that isn't a lot yet (it barely gets her to joining the maidens). I am anticipating about 4 to 5 more to get her to how she ends up in this merry band of mercenaries. Then I will have a second spoiler for questions on how she deals with and views her newfound companions... and one final one for physical appearance.

If you have any comments, concerns, questions etc. feel free to let me know. If anyone else wants to see where I am going with her you are free to look as well. See you all in the morning.

Ok, here's Ouachitonian's submission: Liam, a wandering dagger-duelist who has only recently joined the company. He's also pretty sneaky and handy with thieves tools, the legacy of a misspent youth that saw him exiled to a monastery for a while.

Liam the Wanderer
Stats Invalid: Cha Below 10.

Liberty's Edge

Hrm, colored my interested.

I'm leaning toward a minotaur pit fighter. The character was a braggart and a showboat pre-curse and his 'condition' hasn't changed that part of him. I like the idea of starting performance combat anywhere.

Pit fighter is Fine,
But Remember the character will be in a Mercenary Company doing various real combat contracts,
there is no Performance Combat on which the pit fighter PrC relies on to power it's class features.

Liberty's Edge

I understand there won't be any standard performance combats. That's why the PRC is fun, it allows the character to start performance combat anywhere. I guess it's all in his head.

What would the reduced requirements be?

Whoops. Adjusting now.

Edit: Fixed.

I forgot all about background skills. Can I add Sleight of Hand and Profession (gambler) as those 2 skills, and put my 1 point in Sleight of Hand into something else?

I should have my crunch done for tomorrow, just coming up with a name. That's the hard part.

I'd like to suggest [url=https://dungeonetics.com/pfnames/]This Site[/dice]

I use it a LOT. Either unchanged or to form a name that I slightly modify to taste

are you averse to a summoning focused character or is it just the summoner class?

Those are Vaild background skills

Ellioti wrote:

I'm you aversed to Both.

As the Summoner class is Broken, and Summoner focus casters tend to suck the life out of combat for me and other players who are Not the Summoner.
As I tend to use my RL TT rules for PBP game rules.

Yaz updated with the new spending caps, changes to the Frostrager, and added Ayla to his backstory.

Good point, lol

Liam duels for his own self-improvement, not the adulation of the hoi polloi. But even so, he’d totally be down for sparring with Feral’s pit fighter. In public if need be. It’d be a great show; the huge Minotaur (with a large axe?) vs an unarmored human with a dagger.

it would be entertainment for the group during down time.

Here is the submission for pauljathome.

Note - Race changed from Erinyes to Succubus (she is a Succubus 3/Hinterlander 3). I really like the tension between the very straight laced views of a follower of Erastil and a Succubus (although she is a Reedemed Succubus I've decided that the traditional views and powers of a Succubus are very much manifesting in her).

I do have a few purchase questions. Most items are from Ultimate Equipment
1) Would Sleeves of Many Garments be legal?
2) Are Smoked Goggles legal?
3) Weapon Blanch?
4) The various weird arrows (Pheremone, shrieking, etc etc)?
5) Can one buy arrows in smaller lots than 50?

Liberty's Edge

I really am intrigued but on second thought, I really should be joining any new games right now.

I'll bow out. Best of luck guys.

Assuming I can get it together in time, I might have a dragon disciple concept to submit.

You have Until Friday to complete the character

Submission by (Nightfiend)

Introducing "Taldarion Dawnbringer" (DD 3, Pal 2, Sorc 1) the (LG) Redeemer of wayward souls.

(Even in the darkest of times, the world's truly repentant can find absolution within Sarenrae's light.)

I am posting Taldarion's crunch so you can look it over and see if anything needs to be changed or corrected. His background, personality, and description are in the works.

Equipment updated. As far as I know I'm now totally good to go. Although I have to admit the chance that I've made an error somewhere is non zero :-(

Note - The blanch has already been applied to the arrows. Listed blanch is just to help track the costs. I do NOT have extra.

Ok, completed a general background, personality, and description.

I think I read somewhere that you would prefer the character to use either a weapon or natural attack. Not both. If I'm correct on this, let me know and i will remove the natural attacks from the crunch.
