Yes, you can see the shots are clearly coming from the west end of the map, I've marked them as green squares with an S. They are large sized. Yes you can run, assuming you have a straight line you can run in.

Each square on the map is 30 x 30 is that, so they are like a 6 by 6 square?

No problem, just do your best, if I see an error I'll correct it and let people know. Heck, even I probably wouldn't get it perfect, unless I drew it to scale, and with the rocks not evenly in the squares, that is hard to do.
