Borgol Ashblade |

Borgol winces at the damage to Remy and fights the urge to heal her, No - that thing can tear her faster than your magic can fix it. Best way to keep her alive is to stop the fiend. He nods at himself, then growls slightly, throwing holy energy into his shield to smite the creature.

Fergus lands another solid hit, while Borgol slices the fiend twice with his sword and bashes it with his shield enhanced with holy energy! Despite her wounds, Remy assaults the asura again, landing three powerful blows, and the monster goes down!
The monk breathes heavily, blood dripping from her numerous wounds. "Ouch," she remarks. "That's gonna leave a mark."

Borgol releases a burst of healing energy to help Remy and Flik, then says, "We can't let evil dark creatures wreck nature's beauty, reaching for the healing wand.

"Remy!" Maddie calls out in concern, freezing in midair. Fortunately or unfortunately, the monster is dispatched before she recovers. Her invisible self swoops down and she hovers near the monk, "Are you okay? Mister Ashblade, heal her faster!"

Remy Tomovici |

"I'll be alright," Remy says confidently, trying not to frighten her young companion. "Just need to catch my breath, is all."
The soothing energy from Borgol helps to restore her vitality, though she's still badly hurt.

Flik Gnilleps |

"Gather round, everyone!" Flik gestures and mumbles, and the ground around him starts to glow, sending warming energy up into everyone.
Flik will cast greater path of glory so we don't have to kill a whole wand.

DM Brainiac |

The glowing light steadily heals the wounded party members until everybody is fully hale once more.
The next few rooms consist of storage, maintenance equipment for the torture devices, and a room of records from centuries’ worth of torture sessions. None of this is of much use to you. You continue to the final room on this level.
The floor of the northeastern corner of this room is covered with ceramic tiles, while the rest of the room is floored with warm- colored wooden slats. A metal table stands in the tiled corner, adjacent to a smaller stand holding a tray with an assortment of surgical tools. A high-backed leather chair behind a large desk rests near the western wall, and an L-shaped leather sofa sits on the southeastern corner. The northwestern corner contains a bookshelf and an unlit brick fireplace.
A three-faced, six-armed asura stands in this room. Her faces break into grins when she sees you. "Ah. It has been too long since I have been able to interrogate living prisoners or dissect dead ones. My favorite hobbies." She brandishes her weapons as she starts towards you!

Flik recognizes the creatures as inverted giants. Created by ancient Thassilonian fleshwarpers, the inverted giant is a hideous monstrosity ritually bound and transformed so that they would continue to live and think, but only as monstrous caricatures of themselves, their bodies turned inside out in the most painful and gruesome of punishments. They have no true eyes—what oracular systems they once had are now embedded somewhere near their sternums—but instead possess an innate sense of direction, and through the dark arcana that surges through their beings they can sense the location of their prey perfectly. The runes on their bodies provide them with energy resistance and they flare brightly when spells are cast upon them.
Remy moves to form the front line with Borgol and Fergus. As they prepare themselves, the monk calls on her ki to breathe forth a blast of flame, burning the giants! The giants lumber forward, biting at Remy, who just manages to narrowly avoid their gnashing jaws!

Remy says, leading the way forward while your magical effects are still ongoing.
The hall continues east. Two large tables occupy much of this room. A wooden crate filled with straw sits in the southwestern corner, while the northwestern corner features a heavy iron brazier. The crate is mostly empty, with only a few giant handfuls of boar jerky left. Doors open to the east, while another hall leads south.
Humongous wooden crates are stacked two or three high in the crowded space behind the east door. The nearest box has been pried open, revealing heaps of dried fruit and jerky. Indeed, each of the boxes is filled with enormous amounts of provisions.
You leave that alone for now as you go south. The passageway from the north opens onto a wide hall, with a large stone double door in the southern wall. Borgol charges in and slams the giant with his shield, knocking him against the wall. Remy leaps in with a flying kick, following up with a powerful flurry. As the giant staggers, Fergus moves in and dispatches him with a chop of his axe! Flik reserves his magic, his spell no longer necessary.
A quick search of the room turns up nothing of real value.

"Efficiently dispatched!" Flik compliments everyone.
Are we at a dead end now? Maybe we should look around the rocks at the far end of the room.
