Istorvir batters the damaged spider with force, and it slowly skitters backward up the wall and onto the ceiling. From it's new vantage, it opens a hatch on it's rear and launches a grenade at Teka and OP-1. On the other side of the room, it's compatriot climbs onto a column and launches its own grenade at Gunnz and Istorvir.

The grenades explode in a web-like storm of electrified filaments that cause immense pain... but no physical damage. Once they hit the ground, they whip up and about wildly.

Everyone except Conrad need to make Reflex saves DC 16 or be staggered for 1 round. The area within the green circles is now difficult terrain.

The last spider takes a vantage point halfway up the wall and fires an arc of electricity at Teka.

Teka hops away from the electrified web, but squeaks in pain as the bolt of static sends her hair on end. She tries to ignore the pain by focusing on the battle and the allies with her while charging her weapon for the next attack.

"Remember, this pain is temporary. Fight through it and you will come out stronger for it. Focus on the moment and take it one step at a time. We will get through this."

I would like to use Don't Quit on someone in the party. I can let any one person ignore the staggered condition until the start of my next turn. I'm not sure who is staggered though besides Gunnz. Whomever wants negate being staggered can take it.

Don't Quit as standard, move action charge pistol.

Yes Conrad, but in that situation 'Specialization' = 2 (for a pistol)

It seems as though they are also resistant to fire. OP-1 manages to strike a weak point and get a little damage in, but Conrad's shot is completely absorbed by its stony carapace. Istorvir pummels the spider on the ceiling with another barrage of magic missiles, and it shudders a few times before returning fire along with it's compatriots.

Seeing his other pistol also makes less impact on his target then desired and seeing them clinging up high out of reach of where he could stick his knife OP-1 switches focus back to his first weapon hoping that the slightly more impact will make a difference as he tries to use a shadow to hide the location he's aiming for.

It might be worth it to give the sonic pistol to Gunnz (who has the highest to hit and can include trick attack damage) while Teka uses a laser pistol to provide harrying fire..that way we have the biggest chance to make every shot count, resistance to electricity and fire means we'll be doing a lot less damage and unless they decide to come down melee isn't an real option either

Sigh. I hate to say this but...

Conrad seems to have identified yet another thing their shells are fortified against as the grenade shards fail to find purchase. It seems a more... percussive approach is required. DR that slashing failed to bypass. Yes, these are riot robots. They are bags of HP and resist fire, tasers, and slashing. Sonic damage works well, and as Gunnz has surmised, bludgeoning might just work!

Teka's shot splinters some stonework off of the wall, but Istorvir's magic missile drops it to the ground where it crashes, twitches, then halts.

Gunnz rushes forward with her tactical baton but slams hard into a fallen column, mistaking the stonework for a spider leg as OP-1 attempts a sneaky approach, then promptly discharges her gun into it's grounded carapace.

The spider swats out at her with a sharp leg as she passes by.

I know that Istovir has already used a good set of his spells this fight already, but is there a reason why you aren't using energy ray. We have seen it resist fire and electricity, but I would hope it wouldn't resist all non-sonic elements.

Gunnz juggles her baton between hands, trying to keep the last spider bot guessing, and then suddenly lashes out.

The baton slams into the last spider-bot in quite a vulnerable location.

With a crunch, Gunnz begins to make some serious headway on dismantling the final spider-bot.

Istorvir continues to hide and avoid further confrontation.

Noting the severe nature of it's predicament, the spider-bot begins to respond with lethal force.

Watching Gunnz move around is enough to make Teka's bones ache. "Oh you have far more energy than I do Gunnz. I'll do my best to keep up though, only one of these things left crawling around."

We never have called out who picked up the rumbler boomer rifle since no one was proficient with it. If someone wants to declare they have it, or the GM has another way of determining who has it that is fine with me, but I would actually like to use it given the options available. So this action presumes I have the rifle. If that isn't true, instead I'll move the same way and attempt harrying fire with the arc pistol.

If possible I would delay after Conrad acts in case he uses Get 'Em.

Teka pushes herself forward toward the remaining enemy, dropping her pistol in favor of the gifted rifle. She swings it wildly in her hands as she lines up her shot and attempts to connect with the large weapon.

I just realized this..but as an lvl 4 Operative doesn't Gunnz have the option to use deliberating attack when a trick attack works to impose either the off-target or flatfooted condition?

OP-1 crouches behind the pillar and seeing the charge level of the sonic pistol reach dangerous low settings uses the shadow the pillar provides to hopefully make all remaining shots count

"Just keep on putting yourself out there and someday you will find someone that isn't a giant spiderbot trying to kill you. It took me a long time to settle down myself. Oh! Where is my mind!" Teka fires another blast out of the rifle releasing the last of the shells at the construct.
