Vinas' blade slides right past the creatures defenses and completely bypassing any sort of resistance to mortal weapons as it stabs into the floating daemon.

Tessenarin feels his body slow to a crawl as he slowly sings a song. His voice and song sound a bit off but the magic still holds. Vanyan's body lifts off the ground as gravity seems to reverse from underneath him. Aishe's bolt finds a place as it sticks into the swirling mass of tentacles. It plops into place as a brown ichor seeps from the wound.

@Vinas the southern creature (Venedaemon) scorching rayed you.

Vanyan recognizes this creature as another daemon known as a Cacodaemon. Vanyan knows these Daemons are resistant to most weapons unless good aligned or forged with silver as well. They are quite resistant to cold, fire and electricity as well.

    Cacodaemon:
The least of daemonkind, cacodaemons spawn from Abaddon’s hunted. Like flying, multi-eyed lantern fish, they gather in swarms to harass other daemons in the hopes of being fed souls, and track and hunt the same souls they themselves spawned from. Cacodaemons take pleasure in tormenting and taunting their victims, with those bitten and infected by their uniquely contagious bite able to hear them telepathically over any distance. Despite their limited strength and intellect, their ability to consume the souls of the recently dead and regurgitate them as soul gems leads them to cluster like pets and toadies around more powerful daemons. Such fawning is typically welcomed, as soul gems are held as delicacies by other fiends, and are capable of restoring their forms and, it is said, granting even more mysterious powers when collected en masse. Evil mortal spellcasters often court cacodaemons as familiars, unaware that upon their death, these daemons ensnare their masters’ souls, dragging them back to Abaddon.

Finally Aishe has an open shot. Taking aim he misses! The slow nature and curse ever the hindrance on his body.

With the venedaemons taken care of the southern portion of the chamber presents itself. The eastern section of this marble-walled hall is blocked off by several tons of stone. Parts of the polished floor have been gouged by falling rock near the collapse. Archways exit this chamber to the north, west, and south. Messages are carved into the stone above each archway, but only a few words are still readable.

The words “Peace for Years” are visible above the northern archway to the servants’ crypts. The words “din at His Well” can still be seen above the western archway to the empty crypt. The phrase “Support Thy Master” remains above the southern archway to the stone stable. All the other writing that once adorned the archways is now illegible.

    Dark Archive

    Tyrant's Grasp | | Age of Ashes | | Dead Suns | |

Vanyan recognizes these as living walls. resistant to most damage unless it is slashing. Also resistant to acid, cold and fire.

A living wall is a construct built out of the bodies of many creatures and mortared together with liquefied flesh. Like a gelatinous cube, it fills an entire 10-foot square, allowing it to completely block a hallway. Several living walls placed next to one another can obstruct an entire room. Its normal method of attack is to creep into range to make slam attacks, then push opponents against other walls and crush them to death. Living walls follow basic orders and are normally used to block access to certain parts of their creator’s lair—to get through a living wall, it must be killed and hacked apart to create a space other creatures can pass through. Living walls can be ordered to stack themselves on top of each other to reach higher ceilings, but this requires a ramp to allow one to climb onto the other. A living wall rises 8 to 10 feet high and weighs 4,000 pounds. The appearance of each one varies wildly depending on the creatures used to make up its constituent parts.

”Constructs huh? Sneaky devils.” Aishe moves off to the side, and as the party descends on the constructs, he takes his first shot at them as well.

You all have time to set up a surprise round if the rest of you wish to.

Could I use the Challenger's glove then? Against the wall that the other's don't attack?
If so, that's my surprise round action.

    Init:

    Vinas: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
    Atium: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
    Aishe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
    Tessenarin: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
    Vanyan: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
    Living Wall: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (4) - 4 = 0

    Reflex Lightning DC 16: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (12) - 3 = 9

The group ambushes the far wall with lightning and a single crossbow bolt. The wall pulses and groans as it shakes off the injury, still smoldering from the shock.

Meanwhile Atium walks in and smacks another with a glove.

  • "Dammit, I can't let Atium do this alone!" Vinas hustles in and puts himself at risk. He attacks the already injured wall, hoping to end it before there's no place to stand:

    ATK: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29 for DMG: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12

He then hefts his shield, eager to test it out.

Atium having challenged the opponent, calls out
    Shakra Raven!

He then wants to tall his friends that the walls are dangerous and they could die if caught on the wrong side of one.
    Instead, he spout prose.

Aishesrockets a bolt into the unwounded living wall as the group splits their damage apart between the pair. With the walls so close together they seem to absorb a portion of the damage and split it amongst themselves.

Vanyan's lightning continues to streak down the wall

    Reflex Lightning DC 16: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14

Vinas and Atium each take a target and begin hacking into with all their might.

    Atium damage: 1d12 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25 A 14 hit

Both walls shudder as the fleshy bits come loose and plop to the floor in a mess.

Picking through the rubble on the dais, you easily find a stone tile several inches across. The image of a thin blade, similar to a rapier, is carved into one side of the tile.

The remaining room to the south stands wide open as well.

This unusual room is decorated to look like a stable, with the image of a large window overlooking a grassy meadow carved into the eastern wall. Another carving along the southern wall depicts most of a sturdy horse, though the beast’s head has been chipped away. A message above the carving reads “No Greater Friend,” but the rest of the words are missing. An archway exits to the north.

A gaping hole in the ceiling appears to open onto another chamber above.

A DC 15 Climb check is needed to ascend without a rope.

”Tile, huh?” Vanyan moves forward to examine it with Detect Magic. ”It’s a nice tile, I guess...”

Vanyan looks up the hole, grateful his levitation spell hadn’t worn off yet. Should have lasted about 6 minutes and we’ve had back to back fights with no long rest.

”Gimme a rope and I’ll go up and attach it to something, if you want?” Vanyan offers.

"Is this not the second tile we have found? I feel they must be important."
