Timtenzekil goes cross eyed for a moment, then shakes it off.

Penny isn’t quite as fortunate. She goes cross eyed and stays that way, craning her head around and pecking at herself. Evidently Owlbears have the neck structure of a barn owl.

Melody is able to resist effects of the stars and immediately tries to help Penny. Unfortunately the Cosmic Elf’s magic resists the attempt to dismiss it.
If Penny has any buff’s with a caster level of 6 or less, the highest level one is gone now. I can’t recall if the longstrider was a wand or not.

Tycho thinks they are confused for a moment, then realizes no — that was one of the other personalities in their head that is confused about being confused. They are so busy working out which personality is confused that they miss key parts of the spell and can’t tell which spell was cast.

Warpac is their stoic dwarven self, allowing the magic to just bounce off them.

Theodric comes back into the room and tries the wand again.

Timtenzekil discovers what it is like to be mauled by an Owlbear. The elemental form protects his internal organs from a particularly well placed claw attack.

After that, he floats back and casts a spell to help him recover.

Tycho steps back and grabs a scroll. Then he shouts instructions to Theodric and waits until he can read the scroll.

Since I already did his action, we will assume he would also move as directed. That will help us keep the action going.

As soon as he moves out of the way, Tycho reads the scroll and the Owlbear calms down.

Mongo takes a moment to contemplate the protections of his armor (using Armored Vigor as a swift action to gain 4 temp hp), then steps after the woman, continuing to lay into her as best he can with his sword. Strangely, his weapon seems to turn translucent as he swings, as if it, too, were incorporeal. Now that I'm posting from home where my chronicles are, I will check a box on the Necromancer's Bane boon from Down the Blighted Path, pt. 3 to give his sword the ghost touch property for this round.

Melody attempts to paralyze the creature, but the spell doesn’t work.

Knowledge: Arcana DC 26 for the Curse that Mongo got from Cosmic Elf. Since you would be out of combat someone can take lead and the others can Aid:
Nightmare Curse (Ex) An animate dream's touch puts horrifying visions in the target's mind.
Curse— incorporeal touch;
save Will DC 21; frequency 1/day; effect 1d4 Wisdom drain and target is fatigued;
cure 3 consecutive saves or dispel evil, dream, or remove curse.

Going back into the room where you met Cosmic Elf, you find a total of 24 of the corrupted dream crystals. You think originally the crystals were used to store information in the form of dreams but something changed and corrupted them.

The only real uses for them now are creating the toxin that the Cultists were using or as decorations. The crystals still look beautiful even if they have been changed.

Strangely enough, there don’t seem to be any personal diaries here. There are various i
knickknacks and this was obviously the crew sleeping quarters.

Tycho will cast Heightened awareness on themselves again (wand) and attempt to aid on an arcana check.

Upon seeing the crystals, Tycho remembers that they are also Abtaroh, and forgets about being the cult leader of boredom. "Abtaroh" hops up and down. Finally… CRYSTALS.

They press their eye against one of the clear panes of quartz, searching inside for a dream or nightmare.

I assume min/level buffs like mirror images will be down after this investigation, and removed them from the profile. Will recast HA again before moving on and took an extra charge off the wand.

Abtaroh puts the CRYSTAL down for a moment and looks at Warpac. Tycho? Loathe mediocrity, they do. However Abtaroh has been known to dabble in dullness, especially when in proximity to cosmic horrors looking to eat creative minds. Praise Monos that my sanity is intact.

Warpac gives the man a strange look and wonders if he would benefit from a Remove Curse. There's been a lot of that going around. Unfortunately Warpac is out and Mongo is first in line anyway.

Yes, I believe the fatigue lasts until the curse is removed. Be thankful you aren’t a Bloodrager or Barbarian with that curse!

Looking at the dream crystal provides no additional insights, but Tycho realizes that the crystal panes you saw outside are windows! When he moves aside the curtains, he can see through them to outside.

From the outside you could see the panes of crystal but had no way to see in through them.
