Wraith's hand pushes open the door, and all hell breaks loose. A hail of flechettes fills the air, inches above her head as they tear whatever's left of the wine rack behind her to shreds. The wired reflexes kick in just in time, and the street sam emerges unscathed into the room, ready for carnage. Two men are standing opposite each other in the corners of the small room, the familiar sight of a Defiance T-250 in their hands as they seem to gawk in surprise at Wraith's reflexes.

As Sunset leaps into the room, the barking of shotguns echoes again, as dozens of sharp needles begin adorning the hallway, just inches from where she was standing mere miliseconds ago. "Damn keebs!", a woman with a buzz cut shouts at the door, only for the roar of Sunset's pistol to spread her head onto the wall behind her. You can't see the Military Man at the moment. Notes taken to work on the initiative tracker better.

Blacksap, that's an excellent idea, well in setting, and I love it! Very, very much. Get a temporary Edge point for yourself for this mission (all the way until the end) Everyone else, you can use a Free Action Computers check, and on 2 successes, you mark a target for Blacksap to shoot through the walls. Blacksap, the walls are rather well made, but an APDS round can probably kill through one of them and seriously maim through two. I'll treat your roll as a readied action, if someone marks a target.

Rolls:

Readied Attack 1: 7d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4) = 22

Defense 2: 8d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 2, 5, 6, 4, 1) = 32 [ooc]*sigh*

Readied Attack, Sunset, shotgun: 7d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 4, 1, 2, 5) = 16
Sunset Defense: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 5, 5, 1) = 17 6 Rea, 4 Int, 1 Combat Sense, -5 from Wide Choke
Readied Attack 2, Sunset: 7d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 1, 6, 4, 1) = 19
Sunset Defense 2: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 5, 6, 3) = 24
Perception: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 6) = 16

Speaking of the initiative tracker, can we get a new one so we know who goes how much? Also, I'm not going to post right now so that Glass can post because I feel bad for ninja-ing all the kills. ...I'll wait, like, at least, what? an hour? I'll wait at least an hour. ^_^

GM: FYI rules for penetrating weapons and barriers in a nutshell; if the shot does more damage than Structure+Armor, deal 1 damage to the Structure and reduce DV of attack by 1, then continue on to potentially hit target behind the wall.

Re: attacking blind: typically a -6 to hit, target gets no defense roll, just a damage soak if hit.

Nomad moves up with Sunset, hitting the selector on his pistol over to burst fire and taking cover as best he can. He looks around for the other person blasting off shotgun shells, pistol at the ready.

[Ooc]Move, simple action take cover, simple action observe in detail, 13d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 4, 1, 6, 4, 1, 1, 6, 4, 3, 1) = 46 4 hits

<Still at least one up here. Keep your eyes up, Sunset.>

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Nomad rushes onto the stairs, sliding into place to glance at the last remaining shooter perched behind an overturned old-time bookshelf in the south-east end of the room, shotgun aimed at the door. If you wanted to check the Computers roll to use Blacksap's readied action, I'll allow it now. His trained, eyes, however, notice a bootmark on the wall, heading up, and his eyes flare wide open as he sees the figure of the man Sunset was aiming for, perched above the doorframe, holding onto the wall seemingly by magic.

Initiative Rolls, Round 3:

"teeheeheehee TOO SLOW!" Wraith giggles girlishly as the powerful blasts from the Defiance shotguns fail to find her lithe form as she moves so fast she appears out of phase with reality itself.

"Ooo, don't you big strong men just have the -biggest- guns ah evah did see. Mah goodneth ah wonder if ah even know which end'a dis ting tha bang comes outa?

The SMG comes online to whichever shotgunner is more convenient for her to shoot from her current position.

The first man falls in a barrage from Wraith's SMG, bullets tearing through his heavy coat like butter. He falls to the ground, as she turns with impossible speeds, firing a barrage at the other one's body. The man roars out in pain, but is somehow barely standing, in a pool of his own blood.

As Sunset readies herself to shoot the last shotgunner in the room, a brutal kick opens the door to the dining room with a slam. Northern door, second floor. A short and stocky woman, clad in a thick armoured jacket jerks out with barely possible speed, bringing the sleek, deadly frame of an Ares Alpha assault rifle. A thick helmet is covering her head, as she pulls the trigger. A thumping noise bursts from the weapon's underbarrel grenade launcher, and a metal canister the size of a troll's thumb flies inches away from Sunset's face... only to continue through the room and go through the window.

A frustrated half-scream, half-roar leaves the woman's mouth, as she ducks back into the cover of the doorframe as quickly as she appeared.

Wraith pauses and puts her hand to her head. "I feel as if a chance to rub an enemy's face in a flubbed roll cried out, but was suddenly silenced." =p

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

I think I've not had a *single* actually good roll since the start of the combat. Like. Not a single one.

Sunset rushes to the door, circling until she sees the woman leaning on the cover of the door. Raising her gun, the Warhawk cries out into the room, but even as she lifts her hand, the woman moves with unnatural speed, and the bullet hits the wall behind her a milisecond too late.

Behind her, Nomad can see the crew-cut man slide down the wall, Ares Predator in hand. He turns towards Sunset, his pistol's laser sight trailing a red line through the gas clouds, and fires, twice. The elf is too quick, and the first one scatters in the room, but the second one digs into through her coat, making a clean exit through the other side.

Sunset:

You can choose to take a Dodge roll, which would add your Gymnastics to the Defense roll, and reduce your initiative to 14.

You can also use your point of Edge, and re-attempt that roll (or reattempt it as a dodge, which would let you throw a Gymnastics + Reaction + Intuition roll, in which the 6's explode.

R-R:

Just mentioning now, you can probably track if someone's trying to escape with the cameras on your car, or even drive it to block the garages, and still be ready to pop out and fire within a round's notice. You can also probably reach the stairs with a single move action.

Sunset dives to the ground just in time for the bullet whizzing through her coat to limit its damage to the coat, rather than her back. Nomad takes aim at the man's turned back, but he feels that the man's reflexes are honed, as he dodges the blow with similar alacrity to Sunset. A figure rushes towards him from the room, shotgun in tow, and the flechette fills the air around Nomad, sharp metal spikes flying everywhere, including his suit. He feels the sharp pain of the needles prodding to his flesh, but it's clear that his armour changed his situation from Nomad satay to a painful acupunture.

Downstairs, the bleeding man unloads his entire shotgun clip at Wraith, tearing the room practically in two. Even the trained street sam feels the weight of the flechettes, if not the damage. The man roars out, spite in his eyes.

Imma assume Glass takes this guy out, because of course he does.
Then, it looks like there is one door to the...? I think we're in the room that says 'Wine' yeah? And we just came from 'Tasting'? So is our only option now the Foyer?

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Glass, and magic in general. So, Glass.:

Actually, the spellcasting roll for your spell needs to be 17 dice - 11 from your Combat Spellcasting, +6 from the Force. What's worse, they don't get any dice to soak against your damage, bar the initial, feeble attempt to resist the spell. Still. He dead, since he has 0 dice to roll for soak. Poor chap.

The man's eyes have only a moment to realise the real magic coming out of the elf's hand, as he's blasted back into the back of the room by the force of the mana wave hurls him backwards.

Wraith:

Probably the foyer is your best call right now. You think these guys came from somewhere other than the foyer, almost as if there's another way up, but there's a lot of gunshots upstairs. For reference, there is a wall between the tasting and the foyer, and it's roughly 20 meters to get to the bottom of the stairs heading up.

Are you sure there's a wall between Tasting and the Foyer? Living -wise, it just doesn't seem to make much sense to have a wine tasting going on, but have them essentially cut off from the rest of the house. Anyways....

Wraith nods approvingly at Glass as he OMGwreX0rZ the dude. She makes a mental note that she's been shot, but her 0nboard damage compensators are already on it, neutralizing any ding in her Awes0mesauce. "Sweet move, wiz-bang. Sounds like tha party has started without us. Let's go see if anyone needs their dance-card punched."

That said, she heads off to the shortest distance to the gunfire, slamming home a fresh clip.

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Bursting back through the doorframe, the stocky woman waves at the crewcut man. "Move!", her shrew-like voice rings over the sound of guns, as her assault rifle starts spewing lead towards Sunset, brass casing flying away into the gas-filled room.

Switching her sights to Nomad after a burst, she moves to aim towards the crouching man, but then Wraith comes running up the stairs, grin on her face and SMG in her arm. Though you can see little through the woman's helmet, she re-adjusts the weapon towards the street sam, pulling the trigger with cold fury. Bullets fly, and though the man seems to hesitate for a milisecond to run through the teargas, he picks his direction and run, though the gas seems to have severely slowed him down as he starts coughing out and retching midway through the corridor.

A lifetime of keeping one step ahead of bad things fuse with a king's ransom of good things genetically bonded and surgically implanted together in one instant in time. Wraith dives down, burying her face in the plush carpeting, the lethal shotgun blast careening over her lithe form before she's even consciously aware she's in danger.

"Mfammam filh yuh muffah fraher!" she shouts into the high-piled carpet.

GM:

Ok, it has been awhile...so if I use my edge to re-roll the soak, then I can explode ALL of the 6's or just one? In the older versions you exploded all of them, but this version looks as though you can do one or the other.

If all 6's, then here is my rolls

exploded 6's from Soak: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3) = 12
exploding from above: 1d6 ⇒ 6
more exploding: 1d6 ⇒ 6
and again!: 1d6 ⇒ 4

ok..so then my soak HITs will be 10 I think??

Seeing the CrewCut take off without so much as a goodbye, Nomad recenters his pistol on the female shooter and does what he can to end her.

At Nomad's heads up, the hob flashes a belligerent grin, keeping his AK trained and eyes flicking to the Titan's cam displays.

<Understood. No eyes on yet.>

Nothing else doing from me. Enjoying the mayhem though lol.

Nomad's pistol raises towards the woman, and despite her rapid jump onto her knees, buries itself into her gut. She howls out like a wounded banshee, and practically grabs the coughing Crewcut back into the dining room. As the gunshots die down, you hear hushed, nervous cries coming out of there.

Downstairs, R-R glances that the left-side garage door is starting to slowly open, light coming from the inside.

Chips fully jazzed, adrenaline pounding in her scientifically-modified body, and bloated, ego-centric ego calling for MOAR bodies, Wraith pops up and quick as thought goes up to the door, leading with her SMG, peeking inside.

Helllllllllloooooooo in there............ I reserve the right to keep shooting if I see something worth shooting at. =3

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

Sunset's eyes catch a lone gunner, the man she tried to target as the crewcut man leapt out of the room and shot at her. He's leaning onto the wall, his face determined despite the odds, clutching a shotgun. In the Game Room.

Wraith, I'll assume you're going for a 'lean-on-corner and peek, rather than stick-my-head-inside-room for now, but you can still move and take a Simple Action if you choose to storm. You're pretty sure you'll see the woman if you enter the room, at the least.

Wraith leans on the wall, and sees the door leading further into the house is open. A trail of blood on the ground seems to head towards her left, inside the Dining room.

Road-Rage grins as he clocks the garage door opening, but instead of reaching for his AK he reaches for one of his grenades.

The hob admires the warning symbol and "HI-EX" lettering through narrowed eyes;

Seeing the woman scrambling for something, behind a thick, overturned table, Wraith lets loose a barrage. Even Wraith's crazily slowed down vision, though, seems to perceive her as unnaturally fast. Drugs. It's always drugs. As she readies herself for another barrage at the pinned down enemy, she barely manages to perceive Crewcut's frame, hanging above the door. He leaps down with a shout, his heavy boot slamming onto Wraith's shoulder in a drop-down heelkick that can probably shatter a troll's shoulder, yet barely inconvenience the heavily armoured samurai.

@Roadrage - I could go ahead and say that a grenade is considerably louder than anything else you have used so far. I could say that, but that's boring. Plus, you're pretty much done here.

So, instead, I'll say that you're not only allowed, you are heavily encouraged to utilise said heavy explosives.

Just want to check I'm following things correctly:
Crewcut, the Humanis woman, Sunset, Wraith & Nomad are upstairs, another guy has headed out to the garage (where he's about to get a loud surprise) and I was following some distance behind Wraith.
Just need to know where I'm headed and who I've got to deal with.

[Map of Seattle] [Map of Humanis Hideout]

That's right. Sorry about the confusion, but the party was in four locations at the same time. You're currently following the rest, let's say you're at the foot of the stairs, and assumed to be heading upstairs.

The overclocked and roided-up Crewcut comes DOWN on the lithe form of Wraith, planting his very best kick on her vulnerable and unsuspecting person.

--==<<CLANG>>==--

The big boot comes connects at a union of heavy-layered orthoskin and aluminum-reinforced bone lacing.

Though her head snaps back with the force of the blow, her feet never shift. Her head slowly comes back around to face her attacker...

...and Wraith slowly waves her finger at him.

"Nice try, chummer."
