Arkandru shouts in pain as the roc slashes at him again, then instinctively attempts to grab hold when the talon suddenly releases.

Too high!

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Assuming he succeeds (or if he fails but still has time), Arkandru channels energy to cast Heal on himself.

DC 5 check: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Heal (heightened to level 5): 11d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 1, 7, 2, 7, 6, 1, 2, 8, 7, 5) + 5 = 58

After the healing sets in, Arkandru lets himself fall to the ground.

Arkrandu manages to cling on long enough to heal himself before letting go. Fortunately, Miladistra slows his fall. He and everyone else has time to watch Thorax comically pull his roc to steer it into the ground, ploughing up a massive plume of snow. The goblin doesn't look any worse for wear, nor does his ride, which would be hard-pressed to do so. Without any immediate threats, Arkrandu's roc joins the remaining young one in flying away. They don't look to be heading towards their nest.

Combat over! Feel free to heal up, rest, look around, whatever you like.

Miladistra is reaching for her crossbow when Arkandru plummets from the sky. "Ahh! Winds, heed my call!" Arkandru falls like a feather, landing gently upon the snow.

"I told ya'll we're not food!" Miladistra calls out to the rocs. "If your prey fights back for that long, you gotta let go!" The storm clouds rage around her as Thorax's roc gets the hint and flees.

"How's everyone doin'?" Once the clouds around Miladistra disappear, you see her already pulling out her mistletoe and a collection of leaves. "Do you guys mind spending some time here? I should have enough medicine to heal the immediate bruises."

Because magical healing scales very poorly in PF2, I'm going to spend 10 minutes using the Treat Wounds action (Page 9 of the 1.6 Errata.) The DC should be 24, since that's Medium for a level 10 party.

If no one minds, I say we spend an hour recovering.

Expert Medicine: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21

Expert Medicine: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17 If the DC is actually 27, then stop here, I can't heal you for the rest of the day.
Expert Medicine: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36 (30 x your Con modifier, min 30) HP
Expert Medicine: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29 (10 x your Con modifier, min 10) HP

"Alright, feeling better, now?"

We may not need the entire hour. I'm fully healed after 20 minutes.

I took the Natural Medicine feat (Page 169) as well, and that lets me heal someone. I'll help Thorax if he still needs it.

Master Nature: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33

Whomever I'm helping gets 1d8 + 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + (3) + 5 = 12 HP

PF2 Playtest Character

We just Doordashed a 1,000-piece chicken meal. Thorax will want to stay here for at least a day. It's already been a month. No rush! And time to heal fully.

Thorax is, quite literally, the happiest you've ever seen him.

There's so much food he breaks out his master-quality cooking set and sets to work preparing the gargantuan feast for whoever wants it.

Cooking: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

He even offers a berry tart to the elf (heals 2d8+4 HP).

Arkandru drifts to the ground, and bows to the druid. "My thanks, Miladistra." Assuming we're staying overnight, he will channel energy as soon as Thorax lands, making sure that Trofimir is in range, then will assist Miladistra with treating wounds (making aid another medicine checks if needed) once he has healed to full.

Heal (3 actions): 4d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 2, 7, 3) + 5 = 19

Note: I think the single action Heal Arkandru cast while still grabbed by the roc should only have healed 9d8 + 5 when heightened to level 5, not 11d8; doesn't matter now, but it might later so I want to get it right.

When it is clear that the party will be camping, Arkandru starts working his way around the site, looking for signs of more unfriendly creatures or natural hazards.

(Not sure what to roll here, if anything - Nature, Perception, or Survival?)

Goblin:
"Elves so wasteful. Perfectly good meat! She even helped kill it. But still no eat!"

(via Google Translate–Hungarian)

After eating his fill, Thorax eats some more. Then, he spends the evening cleaning the Roc's skull (which doesn't mean much) before strapping it to the outside of his backpack, beak pointing up.

After packing the extradimensional pockets of his backpack with fifty pounds of charred chicken strips, he touches it all off with a few choice feathers.

That night he sleeps soundly in a pile of down.

Bandits of Immenwood | Before the Dawn

The team opts for some time to recuperate, full of good music and roc meat for whoever desires. Once spells are prepared and all else is ready, you set forth through the valley. It quickly leads to an old giant's road, several hours down which lies another landmark on Ogthup's map.

The site looks like the remains of an old building, likely a giant watchtower. But it has long since crumbled, leaving only the barest foundations and bits of staircase. Tufts of grass grow here, but most of the surrounding area is covered in a carpet of feathery lichens. Near the center of the ruin lies an irregular pit, 20 feet wide and 30 feet deep. This is the Pushing Hole, it seems.

Per Fumbus's knowledge, the weather is as fine as it gets around here, and has been for a while - certainly no severe winds.

Thorax looks around, and immediately notices something strange about the hole. It appears normal to the untrained eye, a sinkhole with walls made up of numerous crumbling components. However, he sees a faint, yet surprisingly visible air current moving around the pit's inside. This likely signifies the presence of air-based magic or a similar creature, which currently lies dormant. At the very bottom lie three more stones, like the one Ogthup managed to bring back.

Ah, sorry Harry. I was just giving everyone a nudge along in asking what would be done. But it looks as if you'll be waiting, so whoever wants Tongues can speak their piece.

Try whatever languages you might, nothing changes in the pit or elsewhere. It is all you can do to take a bored rest and wait for Arkrandu's new spells.

Interesting. Comprehend Languages (Page 211) can be heightened to 3rd level and then you can speak a given language. At level 4 we could all speak the language, too. Tongues is now a level 5 spell and lets you communicate in any language, period. Wait a second, these are Arcane and Occult spells, I can't cast it.

Miladistra is Trained in Diplomacy with a +13, so if someone casts on me I will make the attempt. Something tells me this will be for moot when the GM announces the Air Elemental 'fights to the death'.
