Dead Suns suffers a bit where there are a few space combats that are just there because it has to have space combat. Im planning on skipping those because some of them dont make any sense for the story. And because they dont make sense for the story, they have bad win/loose conditions. If there is literally no difference between winning or losing the fight, we might as well skip it.


I am alive, swear to Damoritosh himself! As to starship combat, I’m not sure how much fun that would be in a pbp environment, but I suppose I’d not run screaming if it came down to it.

It is frustrating in play by post... but, as we progress, we should get better as a team, I hope, and figure out how to make it work for us.

If there are starship combats for story reasons, perhaps we should have an easier warm up one first? Just saying.

There were no traps, so I opened the door. You cant see trough the door, and the corridor/bridge are a vacuum, so you cant hear them.

I need another two rounds before I can nova and cook the beasties. It's 2d6+1 damage in a 10 foot radius. Might not kill them outright but that's a serious chunk of damage regardless. Should I try and get close or do you guys want to fall back behind me and draw them in?

If you're referring to what I think you are, then that effect only comes into play when a character dies and not when they are unconscious but stable.

Just re-read the rule for stabilizing. Spending 1/4 your resolve stabilizes you. Spending 1 resolve immediately heals 1 hp and gets you back in the fight. They're both non-actions but you can't do both in the same round.

I definitely think its best that I give the 5 hp from healing touch to Tony as that will have him full. The Mystic Cure I'm fine giving to either Blixa or Raz. Raz is more of a front liner and could use the health but Blixa is the one with the medicine skill and I'm uncertain whether you can treat deadly wounds for yourself. Thoughts?

I fully support that assuming we're able to restore life support, however, with the shuttle gone and the ship not there not being any air right now that plan only works if everyone has at least item level 2 armor so their environmental protections last or we restore the air.

Also, resting only heals like 1 hp for each of us I think so we still need to figure out where the heals are going.
